I have bought and installed four sets of this security light control before. I used two 13W LED bulbs on each of these controls and they have been working fine for months. However, things acted up when I bought another set two weeks ago with the same settings. I was so confident that I thrashed all the packaging and receipt after installation. However, I discovered that the light from this last set will not shut off. It would turn ON continuously, even in midday sun. I thought this set was faulty so I went to buy another set from another store. To my dismay, this new set also exhibited exactly the same problem. I called their technical department and they told me that this light set could not work with LED bulbs. “Only incandescent light bulbs could be used”, she said. However, there are no such message warning customers not to use LED light bulbs, either on the package or the instruction manual. I can’t believe it. I am totally exhausted and disappointed.

The push button initially worked, however it has failed after one week. I have ordered a new wireless doorbell system (different brand) from Home Deport as a complete system replacement.

Indicated on package that it was compatible with all wireless health zenith chimes but was not a pin button so I could not synchronized it to my wesminster chimes.

This push button works as it is supposed to. I got it in a contrasting color to the house to make it visible. It was relatively easy to install considering I was going to use it with a Health Zenith chime from 2008 which was also purchased from Home Depot. The local store did not stock a push button compatible with my chime. It had to be ordered online. I had it delivered to the local store to avoid shipping costs. The instructions were understandable but there was a bit of a learning curve to figure out how to configure the old chime and accessories to be compatible with the new push button. I think it took several hours from start to finish to install the push button and have the entire system operable.

The doorbell operation is intermittent. The two watch style batteries stack on top of one another and seem to become misaligned easily.

Worked fine, but had a few issues getting it to connect with base unit however it finally did work.

The push button was good, but unfortunetly we could not get it to work with my current chimes even though it was the same button that the chime had before. So, I ended up buying a new doorbell system, which I am completely happy with.

Works good when you press the right spot.

Installed and worked exactly as specifed in the manual. As a reminder to all, do not expect the light to operate once the 1 or 5 minute setting is chosen. It will only operate when it is dark.

Didn’t work. With existing g wireless.

Received the special order, and it was defective, and I returned the item and bought another brand. The back would not open.

Worked fine. Configured and installed in 10 minutes.

worked out of box though seems much simpler than oem that came with doorbell, white version is cheaper, range not as good as oem but adequate for our needs

Easy to install. Work well the first time. This is the second replacement. The first one lasted many years.

Easy to set up

The doorbell works well with our older Heath/Zenith doorbell. We had to experiment with placement so it had a clear signal. I looks nice and people can notice it because of the dark color on the white trim of our house.

Indeed the wireless doorbell button is compatible with my current Heath Zenith chimes. The instructions for programming were easy to follow.

The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that the screw holes were not pre-drilled or easily knocked out of the base. I purchased this to replace a Hampton Bay wireless pushbutton SKU #1001407827 that was pretty much junk. It had multiple problems from a bad battery to limited range. This Heath Zenith works great. Home Depot and Hampton Bay wwere not much help on my original Hampton Bay button and I had to "research" to find out Heath Zenith was compatible.

No, it failed to work. I returned it for a refund. I set it properly, supplied fresher batteries. It rang the doorbell twice, then stopped working altogether. The plating on the exterior was very bad as well. Not the quality I expected. This was a replacement for the exact same item.
