Easy to use and worked great

Caught what I was trying to trap.

Easy to use and did the job 2x. My cat was missing. I was told she was sighted in a wooded are 1/4 mile away from home. The first night I left it in the wooded area I caught a kitty, just not my kitty. The second night I caught my kitty. She had been missing for 2 weeks and I had no sign of her anywhere. After many hours of looking and handing out flyers I thought she was gone for good. It was a great surprise to lift the blanket off and see my kitty (Zooey) in the trap.

The trap works well. Only problem I had was reaching all the way in to put the bait in. Senior problem maybe. Caught 3 raccoons so far that have been destroying my house.

It worked out nice Raccoon actually been the cage. Not like other cages were the latch was inside very well. Thought out would recommend it.

There were parts missing that should be used to connect the two doors. Also it looked like it was used.

Do not buy this trap to catch armadillos. They have twice broken out and bent the metal trap in the process. I repaired the trap the 1st time, but the 2nd escape looks like it's damaged beyond repair.

It’s a decent trap, but it requires a bit of skill and experience to use. The first two times I used it the raccoons took the bait without triggering the trap. The left side of the trigger plate is useless, you can push down on it relatively hard and it will not release. My nephew the expert helped me set it so it actually worked. Smear a nice-sized glob of peanut butter on the right side of the trigger plate, and put the can of sardines behind it. The sardines will attract the animal, and trying to get the peanut butter off the trigger plate will trip it and trap them. Once I did this I was able to catch the intruders pretty easily.

Stayed strong with not just one but four very large raccoons that had taken up residency in my home.

Wow it's a life saver from those raccoons, great product.

Reasonable price and well made. While it seems easy to set the trap door, it is a little touchy and I had problems a couple of times with bait theft and the treadle being too tight to go off. It did catch two opossoms easily, though. Twice we caught rats. One managed to squeeze out before being disposed of.

After couple of days of trying out different food sources we were able to capture the raccoon. The door latch and trigger were easy to use, and the unit was very sturdy despite falling about 9 feet through a ceiling tile. There was a minor damage to the handle from the fall, but no issue with the cage itself nor the door mechanic. I would recommend this to other DIY'ers
