I got this big guy in 1 day. Used water melon and put it in his path. Good product.

Trap works, but needs to be on firm level ground or trigger may not release due to large cage flexing. BTW- I add extra wire upholstery crimps for extra security.

It does the job to get my cat's back and forth

This trap worked amazingly well. The same day I bought it, I caught the raccoon in my attic. 10/10.

My indoor cat got out and ran every time I got within ten feet of her. She was very scared but when I saw she was coming home to eat food I'd put out I immediately got this live trap. I got her the first night it was out! She's now back sleeping at the foot of my bed. I don't know how I'd have gotten her back inside without it. I took my other cat outside on a leash to help spread home scents around, and he was interested in it right away, not nervous around it. That's the picture I included.

Placed the trap on its side with a trail of treats leading to it and slices of cantaloupe/watermelon at the very back of the trap. We did this for a few days to get the groundhog used to entering. Put block on top of the upright set trap in the morning and as soon as he came to eat, he was trapped first try! Wear rubber gloves to handle food and trap to keep your scent off of everything. Wipe cantaloupe juice on all sides of trap. Don’t set at night and try not to leave it in the trap too long.

I purchased Havahart's model 1079 trap, which is marketed to catch armadillos. I used this trap successfully in the past but be aware that animals will escape this trap often. Havahart recommends you check the trap every 30 minutes, but this is not realistic when trapping a nocturnal animal. This requires the customer to essentially stay up all night, which is simply impractical. They will replace the trap if it is damaged within 1 year but be aware afterwards, they will not.

A raccoon got in our attic on a Friday, pest control couldn’t come til Monday so i tried this. Caught it in less than 24 hrs. Made a bit of a mess in the attic insulation!

Out indoor cat escaped Tuesday night. And after posting flyers and going door to door in our neighborhood; we sighted our cat under a shed not far from the house. He was too scared to come to us. We set up this trap Friday morning near the shed and caught another cat that evening. But next morning we caught our cat! Thank Jesus! This trap saved our cats life! Worth every penny!!! This was the only way to capture a scared cat. Don't lose hope!

This trap is no contest for an armadillo. THIRD time trapped armadillo escaped by overpowering the frame holding the door, They have ruined three 'traps', Needs to be stronger. If you want to trap armadillos get a stronger trap.

The trap works but doesn't keep the raccoons in the cage. Somehow the little monsters eat the bait and then work themselves out of the trap before I get to them in the morning. Raccoons 2, me 0 :( I do not recommend this type of trap for raccoons. Apparently, they are too smart for this design and escape with some effort.

I bought two of these cage due to armadillo issues in my yard. Both cage doors crapped out after catching an armadillo. (see photo). I caught one around 4am and after watching the camares the armadillo was only in there for about 7 min before the door latch bent and gave out, which caused it to escape. Next day I put out the second cage and while i was carrying the armadillo the handle broke and the door latch gave out. The second cage didn't event last 5 min.

Been trying to trap an armadillo for months that has been tearing up my yard and I finally trapped him and he broke out of the cage. I'm very disappointed in this trap and cage!

Trapped three raccoons in 3 days. Simple to deploy. It is expensive for what it is, but since it works as advertised I cannot complain.

Poor strength design. What ever small animal able to get into the trap bent the hold down lever and lifted the door

Tha cat gets trapped but scapes easy, just came to get the food. I threw away the package, I can't return it to the store. Waste of money, I'm very disappointed!

This cage was the perfect size to trap a large raccoon that was doing damage to the outside of my home.

Latch on being sprung, trapdoor swings past it, making trap useless. I placed 2 hooks by curving 16-gauge wire on sides which fixed defect. Marshmallow bait was ignored. Caught raccoon with tuna. An hour more & he’d have escaped through flimsy trapdoor.

Simple and easy to use. Worked 1st time.

I had been trying to catch and relocate a neighborhood racoon for a week, and actually did catch him twice, but he escaped from my old trap / cage by pushing so hard on the front wire trap door that he bent it enough to get out underneath it. I decided that I wasn't going to let a racoon outwit me, so I went to Home Depot and spent the $50 on the Havaheart 1079. I did not know if this trap / cage would fare any better, but I had to try. Generally the reviews looked good, but there are always some folks that don't have a positive experience, and sometimes that's enough to give me doubt about making the purchase. Well, I used the new trap and the first night I caught my nemesis, he was not able to escape and has now been relocated in a wilderness area near a nice river. I wish him well in his new home, hope he meets another nice racoon, has a family, and never comes back to my house.

Easy to operate. We had a pesky groundhog munching on our flowers. We were able to catch him/her with cantaloupe & relocate to a park 10 miles away.

I bought this trap two days ago to replace the 1092 model Which field for so many times to catch the raccon. I set up the trap and I caught it from the first attempt. It is worth the money. it is built for the job.

Bought this trap after discovering we had an armadillo tearing up our yard and flower beds. Found the armadillo's burrow, and set the trap up directly at the mouth of the burrow, with barriers to force it into the trap. The next day the spring-loaded locking rod was bent and the door was warped. Obviously the armadillo forced his way out of the trap. Repaired it as best as I could and set it up again. Same result. Did it a third time and got the same result.

Cage was easy to set trap. My first night i bated with a can of tuna like someone else on review had mention and caught my first feral cat! My second night did the same thing caught my second feral cat!! This cage is magic!!! This cage is super helpful does the whole job for you.

After a month of haunting an Armadillo that destroyed my grass I was able to capture it using Havahart Trap !!!!!

Bought for a known armadillo digging up my yard. Set trap on the side of the house near a trashcan. Used no bait. Trapped an opposum instead the first night. Trap wasn’t damged. Probably need to relocate trap.
