Customer Reviews for Hampton Bay 2-Light Ceiling Fan Light Kit

Box says “Universal “ kit, then in tiny print “install.. only on ceiling fan models specified in the installation instructions included in this carton.” Instructions say “..to reduce risk of electrical shock...only with fan models listed below: 158-112, 158-991, 157-734.” Had it all the way home & out of the box before realizing it wouldn’t work with our fan. Should not be sold as Universal Replacement, and/or list of fans should be on OUTSIDE of box.

Product was presented as a universal light kit for Hampton Bay ceiling fans. But it would not work on our fan. The connection was completely different.

Although as rated as universal does not fit a hunter original fan

Totally updated our fan.

Easy to assemble on to our Hampton Bay light. Just make sure you rotate the light assembly correctly so it doesn't interfere with the pull chain for the fan. Also, the "universalness" of the kit, in our case, made the fan pull chain a clunky pull since it has to go through the metal bracket that holds the glass cover up. Still a good kit, and they give you all the options for colors on the trim. The bulb assembly is all white, but you don't see it since it's covered by the glass bowl.

Not exactly universal fit, would not connect to my old Hunters, I liked them, and ended up Jerry Rigging the connection to the fan by using another colored finish ring and thick felt floor protectors to attach to the fan’s collar. Really looks good now. Would have given 5 stars, but I had to modify.

Works great and looks great with plenty of light. Installed it on my Hampton Bay fan. Instructions were easy to follow so it was easy to install. Something to know, many fans that were installed didn’t connect the blue wire to the black wire where it goes into the ceiling because they didn’t need it

Perfect fit for older fan. Wires connections matched up perfectly. Added new life to old fan only setup.

Very pretty accent to fan.

The instructions are clear and easy to follow. This improved the look of our fan and brightened up our living room. The fan speed pull chain does not pull through the opening as smoothly as we would like, but that is a minor issue.

Exactly what I was looking for, smart addition to the Hampton Bay fan the previous owner installed sans light fixture. Makes a big difference in how the room feels.
