Nice light. Has many color (white, bronze,pewter) escutcheons...
Nice light. Has many color (white, bronze,pewter) escutcheons and chain pull fobs to go with most fan styles. Shade is glass but not obscure enough to hide light fixture behind it. Probably gives more light output but allows you to see shadow of bulbs and housing when light is not on which is why I deducted one star.

Be sure to check the box for all the...
Be sure to check the box for all the included parts, so you won't have your fan disassembled at home when you first open the box and discover that half the items are missing. Lucky for me, Home Depot had another box in stock, which I had checked for parts before exchanging. Assembly was a snap, after reviewing a couple of YouTube videos.

Good Item-a little pricey
good quality - easy to hang with any regular fan. Just a little pricey. Bought 4. First one took 40 minutes to install - last one only 8 minutes (learning curve)

Too Easy!!!
My wife, daughter, and I took the time to do this together and it was just too easy adding this light to the ceiling fan that we purchased about 20 years ago! Once we dropped the plate from the base of the fan, the two wires connected and the light came on during the test. Then we proceeded to put it together correctly by stringing the wires inside the cap, connecting, screwing the three small screws back into the base of the fan, attaching the pull chains for the fan and light through the glass cover followed by the brass cap and ball screw to hold the cover up and walked away - all within 40 minutes of trial and conclusion of installing what was purchased. Of course there was a lot of talking going on.

all we needed is a light to fit a old...
all we needed is a light to fit a old fan. This kit did the trick. LED bulbs and a good design.

Thank you for your review. There are 2 sets of hardware included with the light. One set has a bowl cap with one hole for use with just the pull chain for the light. The other set has a bowl cap with two holes. A center hole for the light kit pull chain and an off-center hole for the fan speed pull chain. The globe does have one hole and both chains should be routed through the one hole in the globe. Then when placing the bowl cap on the globe, choose the bowl cap with 2 holes. If you light kit was missing the bowl caps with 2 holes, please call Hampton Bay customer service at 1-855-HD-HAMPTON (1-855-434-2678) and one of the team members will be able to send the missing hardware.
