Wish it had a way of telescoping out for more distance control

Performed as expected. Nothing special or excellent about the quality, so not a 5 star product but nothing terrible either so not a 1 star product.

Easy to assemble and works great for my extra large doghouse my 2 dogs use.

Nice easy assemble clamp and hook hanging, lightweight light. Using to assist in power outages.

Great heat lamp. Purchased for chicks and it puts out 100f at 1 foot away.

No on/off switch. The aluminum used for the bell is about twice as thick as cooking foil. Quality issues are abundant. Unfortunately this is the only choice.

I agree with Rich from March 14, 2019 about the difficulty of assembly. Except I gave it a much lower rating. I tore the box apart to get the lamp out, but when I discovered how poorly it is designed, I wished I could take it back, Even using two pliers to tighten the wingnut, it won't stay pointing in the direction I want. I would NOT recommend buying this lamp.

I am sure this works fine as a lamp. But as a lamp that can be clamped onto something to keep it in a position you need, it is isn't great. You have to assemble the clamping assembly to the lamp and that requires using a mounting bracket that is two pieces of curved metal with a small wingnut. You position it around the ceramic base of the lamp and also insert the knobbed end of the clamp into the flat ends of the bracket, then tighten the wingnut to hold it all together. It takes a decent amount of dexterity to get everything into place before tightening. I find it impossible to tighten it enough by hand to keep the lamp from drooping. The wingnut is small, so it starts to hurt your fingers as you try to tighten harder and harder. I ended up using a pair of pliers to really tighten it down and that does the trick. But that also means that wingnut isn't going to be useful for easily loosening and re-tightening the bracket. Fortunately, the clamp still can be positioned with the bracket very tight.

Love the light. It is what I expected. However it was hard to put together. There were no instructions. My husband finally figured it out, a little frustrating.

drove to pick up unit from the store based on item description but found that the item is only rated at 150w max.

Apparently, there are two versions of this light: One has a traditional clamp and the other has an additional lever you press to open the clamp. I previously purchased the additional lever type and it's OK. The traditional clamp style has two ears that go through holes in the reflector to hold the lamp socket directly. It's an incomprehensibly poorly designed piece of junk. It can't be tightened to hold the lamp in a position. I'm returning it to the store.

The clamp was a very low quality and trying to move the position caused the arm to fall apart.

I used this to keep a sick bird warm. I’ve had this since February 2018. The clamp was easy to adjust to point the light in the right spot.

Worked exactly as I wanted it to. Had a little trouble getting it together, but took it back and ask an employee to help me, which he did. I like that about Home Depot. Their employees are always willing to help or explain things.

Using to with heat lamps to keep my mini pig warm and works great.
