Good door - absolutely terrible hardware
The door is of good or better quality and the installation was simple. I am very handy and do a lot of work/repairs around my house. Installation took about an hour, until, I got to the lockset. Not sure of the manufacturer, but the lockset is worthless at best. It is a mortised lockset that is keyed on both sides of the cylinder. There was moderate difficulty getting the cylinder in place, but that was not a deal breaker. The lockset itself was another story. The two "through screws" which pull the two face plates and handles together were two long and would not permit tightening of the screws. Subsequently, one of the screws wrung off rendering the whole thing worthless. I have reached out to Home Depot and I need to get them the serial number of the door and they will send a replacement, hopefully.

Beautiful but terrible experience/quality
I loved the looks of this door but the quality just isn't there. I had to take the first door back because there was a defective screw that wouldn't come out allowing us to switch the side the door opens. The second time around we went ahead and hired Home Depot to install the door out of frustration (costing me even more $$), it took the poor man over 3 hours to install this door. Now, only having the door for about 1 month, we are noticing RUST!! It is starting to rust where the weld spots are... so not only have I already been inconvenienced enough with this door, but now I have to go back to the stoor to see what is going to be done about this. For the price of this door there definitely shouldn't be rust just after one month of having it! Very disappointed and upset.

Nice heavy doors
Doors are holding up well in the winter weather. Stylist look, despite having bars.

All Doors Are Not Created Equal
I purchased 2 of these doors from Home Depot and installed them myself. Both of these original doors were labeled as "Made in the USA." I say original because on Inspection I noticed one of the boxes was crushed on the edge and the door frame was badly bent. Home Depot quickly replaced that door with the same model, only this carton was labeled "Made in China." The appearance of the two doors is the same. The quality of the hardware is not. First the USA door. All the parts and pieces were there. The unit was packaged well with no scratches or marks. This door comes pre-hung for a door hinged on the left as you look at it from the outside. To reverse the hinges you must remove both sides, the top rail, and the bottom extender. You also have to reverse the latch and deadbolt and both handles. For me that added about 90 minutes to the installation. This door is heavy even with the glass panels removed. One can handle it but 2 would make things a lot less strenuous. Assuming your existing doorframe is square, the actual placement of the door goes fairly quickly. Now for the Chinese version. On opening the box I also found this door to be packaged well. There were no scratches or dings even though the box doesn't appear to be as thick as the USA version. Appearance wise both doors look the same. This door is also hinged on the left. Since that was my intended purpose I figure the installation would be about half the time of the other door. It wasn't. Things were going well until it came to the lock installation. I should mention that the deadbolt in the USA version was pre-installed. It was not in the Chinese version. That's not a problem unless, like in mine, they provide the wrong lock. The lock in the Chinese door was a single cylinder, keyed only on one side. This sort of defeats the purpose of a glass security door since knocking out the glass enables someone to merely reach in and unlock the door. A trip back to Home Depot secured the lock assemble from the damaged USA door I originally purchased. Thinking this would solve all my problems I continued with the installation. Not quite. The double cylinder lock from the USA door doesn't fit as well in the Chinese lock assemble as it does in the USA door. The problem seems to be in the mounting of the lock cylinder in the locking mechanism. The real problem came when mounting the latch handles to the door and lock mechanism.. If tightened down completely the handles bind and will not allow the bolt to return to the extended position. Finger tight is about all you can do without the handles binding. I need to discuss this problem further with Grisham since I am not at all happy with the current assembly. Also the bottom door extender of the Chinese door appears to be a lighter aluminum than the USA version. The USA version was so tight and stiff I needed a hammer and block of wood to set it in place. It could not be spread open for installation. The Chinese version was very loose on installation and could be squeezed together easily to stiffen it up. The instruction sheets for both doors are the same and much to my surprise only written in English. For a novice with no prior mechanical / handyman experience, I would certainly recommend a professional installer. The instructions are lacking of good detail and some parts make absolutely no sense. There are several instances where you are told to drill holes and to install the provided screws without mentioning the size hole to drill or the size of the screw to be installed. Would I buy this same door again? Yes, but only if it were labeled Made in the USA. I just found too many little differences, especially in the locking mechanism to be 100% comfortable with the Chinese version.

    Nice Door
Purchased 2 of these doors. Easy to install and looks great. Only problems we had was purchasing at the store. Be careful and look to make sure hardware is in the box. One door did not have any and after going back to get the hardware one of the boxes did not have any of the screws. Had to purchase the screws separately since there were not any more doors in stock.

      Better than the picture
This is the first door I have purchased from Home Depot and it was installed to perfection, looks great, the finish has stayed like new and has functioned perfectly from day 1 and added a wow factor to my front entry without looking like a prison door as many security doors can. The door adjuster keeps it open when you need to bring in parcels, etc and shuts quietly. It made a big difference in stopping the draft I was getting under my inside door and around the edges. The Home Depot installer pre measured; was a pro and it went in with out a hitch. Other prices I was quoted on elsewhere were in excess of $800-$1000 for wrought iron and this is much better.
