[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These garage cabinets are superb. Total assembly time was approximately 30 minutes for me. The cabinet arrived in perfect condition due to the excellent packing with styrofoam protection. The instructions were straightforward and thorough. An added bonus is these cabinets have been updated from a previous generation, and now include a cord cutout in the bottom. This makes it easy to store cordless tool battery chargers or other electronics inside of the cabinet. Hanging the cabinet on the Gladiator Gear Wall is a piece of cake, but the cabinet can also be installed on any solid wall surface provided you can mount through the back of the cabinet wall. Note that the mounting hole locations are 23.5" center-to-center, so an intermediate board may be needed to ensure solid support into a standard 2x4 stud wall. Be sure to properly support the cabinet and use lag screws to attach it to the wall, should you choose not to use the Gear Wall though. Using the Gear Wall, it is easy to hang this cabinet and also simple to re-arrange storage on a wall as your needs change.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this GearBox to fill a space in my garage that was a little too small for the 30" cabinet. I was worried about about the sturdiness of a cabinet that required some assembly compared to the 24 and 30" GearBox's that come pre-assembled, but that worry was for nothing! The GearBox was easy to assemble; the interlocking tabs, screws, and bolts all tightened up into one sturdy little cabinet. The magnet door latches built into the shelves was a nice touch for a long lasting design. I'm very excited about adding the storage space to my garage!

It was easy to assemble while providing a finished quality product that is stable and will last for years. No need to handle with kid gloves the product will stand up to hard use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was ready to add cabinets to my 8' GearWall Panels and selected two (2) Full-Door Wall GearBoxes. At first, I was not sure how the diamond plate doors would look, but once I viewed them in person I appreciated the more industrial look for my garage. Assembly took about 20 minutes per GearBox and was simple. Hanging them on the GearWall was easy too. The added storage and ability to keep many items out of site has cleaned up my space and made it appear much more organized. I have no reservations recommending these cabinets.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After I finished the renovation of my garage space including brand-new epoxy floors, I decided to go with the Gladiator storage system to complete my garage overhaul. In comparison to other garage storage systems, Gladiator still seemed reasonably priced while providing a better overall quality than Craftsman, Husky and others. Initially I bought 2 of their heavy-duty rack shelves, a full-size GearBox, quite a few hooks and additional accessories like a basket and Gladiator's Clean-Up Caddy, which is essentially a little shelf with a paper towel holder. I decided to use their gear track system instead of the wall panels, thought it looked much better. I hung the GearBox from the tracks as I wanted to be able to easily clean the garage floor later. This first setup turned out much better than I thought. All items were high quality, I loved the gained flexibility for my garage setup, and the GearBox helped keeping things organized and clean. So after a few months I decide to also equip the other side of my garage with Gladiator tracks and more hooks and storage. I had set up an account with Gladiator earlier and at one point they asked me to review the Wall GearBox. So adding a little disclaimer here: I received this 2nd GearBox, a Full Door Wall GearBox, from Gladiator free of charge in exchange for this online review. However, I am only sharing my own and honest opinion about the product here. So here we go. The Wall GearBox arrived in its original package, which had been damaged - likely from transit. I have included a photo of its condition when it arrived here. Unfortunately, when opening the box I noticed that also a few parts had been damaged on the inside, please see photos. I was able to correct the damage by straightening the door rim with a hammer and bend back slight dents by hand. (I have to say that shipping and packaging still seems to be an issue for many manufacturers of heavy equipment like this garage storage stuff. I picked up the rack shelves at a Lowe's and one of them had shipping damage as well (nothing major, but took a bit more effort to assemble it because of that). Same happened with a Husky heavy-duty work bench I purchased and picked up at Home Depot. That bench was so badly damaged that I essentially had to rebuild the entire thing, including a tool to fix a stuck leg...) But back to this review. The manual of the Wall GearBox is short, easy to read and understand. It probably took me 20 minutes to assemble the GearBox, might have been a bit more if I had not assembled my first GearBox earlier. Gladiator manufactured the parts in a way that you cannot connect parts to the wrong side of the cabinet or flipped upside down by pre-drilling holes asymmetrically. Only if those holes line up properly, you can insert the screw. That makes it really easy, you can't make a mistake or will notice right away. Overall, the construction of the GearBox seems well thought out. Many parts have little tabs that need to be inserted into pre-cut slots of the adjacent part, in addition to the screws. This makes both shelves and the back wall really sturdy. The Wall GearBox came with a bracket to hang it (was not included with the full size GearBox I bought earlier). I have included a picture of the final setup on the side of my garage I hung the Wall GearBox. I am very happy with the additional storage and the quality of my Gladiator gear. I probably spent a couple hundred dollars more on the entire setup that I would have with other cheaper manufacturers. But I would do it again, the stuff is so sturdy and the coating will hopefully prevent my shelves and GearBoxes from rusting away in the humidity down here in FL...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We received this Full Door Wall GearBox last week! My husband couldn't wait to get it up. With a couple of misreading directions the GearBox was assembled perfectly. I enlisted a couple of neighbors to help him lift it when my husband had the wall prepared. Couldn't wait and lifted it himself! We have a small space inbetween two garage doors where this fit absolutely perfectly. He's exceted because there is a "hole" in the bottom to put cords down to plug in chargers and his tool chargers can be put in a closed environment. AND, it just happens to be next to his tool bench! A perfect set up! Thank you Gladiator!

Assembly was easy and they were the right size for my project

It arrived packed well and was easy to put together. Instructions very clear and easy to understand. Cabinet overall is well made and sturdy and the shelves hold a lot of weight. Love that the doors close well with magnet.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I own several other Gladiator products but this was my first wall mounted cabinet or product of any kind. When it arrived the box was nicely done with graphics as all my other products and the parts inside wrapped up well. I did, however, find the three top pieces (side panels and a door) were distorted and bent on the edges. Since it was fairly thin sheet metal I simply bent them back and after assembly you can’t tell they were ever damaged. Assembly was straight forward and very simple. I recommend using the larger booklet as it has tightening instructions not found in the quick guide. Mounting the wall track panels was as simple as measuring and stud locations and when I hung the cabinet I found the depth of it to be a perfect fit for a wall mount unit. It’s not as deep as my floor ones, but for good reason. The flexibility of the tracks is a great asset and I now plan to walk track my entire workspace area and add components in the future. Storage is as expected of a cabinet this size and depth and it easily holds several tool kits, spare parts and manuals. I do also like the bottom panel power access hole and plan on adding a surge protector on the lower shelf to have a charging station in the future. The full swing doors are nice and allow me to leave the cabinet open with the doors out of my workspace until I’m ready to pack up. Overall, I will be adding another cabinet and several more accessories in the future and would recommend all my Gladiator products, they’re high quality and flat out work.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The GearBox compliments the rest of my Gladiator Garage set very well. The silver diamond plate looks very professional. It's super strong and they have held up well. I expect to have them forever as they won't crumble like the particle board products put out by typical closet companies. The packaging protected the product well. One corner was slightly bent but easily went back with the tap of a hammer. Assembly was a great Father-Daughter project. I recommend spending a little more to get the one that is lockable (it's a little larger also). Those also come pre-assembled if you are on a time crunch. I really like the access port in the bottom for electrical connections. So nice to have my junk off the counter and behind these nice doors.

The 28-inch Ready-to-Assemble Full-Door Wall Gearbox continues this legacy. The Gearbox arrives well packaged with foam packing (I especially like the glued, staple-less outer box making it easy to recycle). The styrofoam insert provided a nice temporary tray for holding the small loose parts Assembly was easy and quick. The 28-inch Gearbox when hung level with my 30-inch Gearbox provides a little more clearance for my benchtop tools. Overall a great addition to the Gladiator lineup.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Gladiator Ready-to-Assemble (RTA) Gearbox is a cheaper alternative to their Premier Series. The RTA gearbox is made of thinner gauge sheet metal and assembled with screws. Packaging and Unboxing Package arrived with minor damage to box; but, no damage resulted during delivery. Minor cosmetic dimples/creases in the doors and bent corner in side panel could have been avoided with better packaging. Bottom of box states to "cut the carton top along specified cut lines"; however, instructions were not seen until box was opened by other means. Assembly and Hanging Cabinet Cosmetic damages were fixed by straightening the thin sheet metal by hand and hammering flat with a piece of wood (to protect metal and provide flat surface) and hammer. Assembly was easy and took about 45 minutes. Instructions were easy to follow; however, it could have been simplified by attaching the wall bracket to the back panel before attaching to the gearbox.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this cabinet to store some extra reloading equipment. Ive been a Gladiator customer before so the choice was easy. Product Packaging: Product was well packed in a box that shows the product. It was fully encased by styrofoam so all pieces were well protected. Only a few minor dings on the thin gauged metal corners that were easily bent straight. Product Assembly: Assembling the wall gearbox was very easy and straight forward. It came with all necessary hardware and instructions. Only tools needed were a philips screwdriver and a allen wrench which is included with the hardware. It took me about ten minutes to assemble. Product Install: Hanging the wall gearbox was also simple for one person. I just removed the doors and shelves to lighten the load a little bit. I opted not to use the gear track wall hanger which is fine because it comes pre drilled with four 3/8" holes for mounting. Each set of holes is specifically spaced to line up with wall studs either 16" on center or 24" on center. My application I was able to use all 4 holes to hit a wall stud with a 3/8" lag bolt. It is definitely strong and will provide suitable strength for my storage needs. To summarize this product is well worth the money if you are on the fence of purchasing one. The wall gearbox is well designed with modular shelving and ease of assembly to provide a strong storage solution. Quality is top notch and I will not hesitate to get more!

Got this one on sale for $101.35. I have no idea why the white one is almost 80 bucks more. Anyhow, for a hundred bucks it delivers and it is so easy to hang on my gearwall. It comes with two sets of instructions. I used the easier one with just the pictures and a few instructions and it did not say to fit the little metal inserts in their side slots. So, I had to unscrew the entire frame so I could get those little darn metal flaps in. Other than that, not rocket science to assemble. Took me about an hour. Very happy with the final result though. Check the pictures and judge yourself.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Giving it a 4 star instead of 5 due to minor shipping damage, and directions could include info about tab placement during assembly If I could give it 4.5 stars, I would. I received this cabinet to eliminate some clutter in my tool shed. It was fairly easy to assemble, it took me about 30 mins. One corner was bent due to shipping, but was easily straightened with some pliers. I did not pay close enough attention to all of the tabs when I started assembly, so I had to partially disassemble so I could get all the tabs in the correct slots. Glad I did, I think they help make it sturdy, and keep everything nice and square. It also has pre-punched holes in the back to attach directly to the wall studs. Two sets provided for 16" OC and 24" OC - nice touch.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just received this product and assembled it as soon as I had free time. The ease of assembly can’t get any easier. Everything is labeled and instructions are clear. The look of the diamond plate really stands out and is a perfect fit in the garage. The finish is really durable. I had a bent corner and a separate piece that was broken through the shipping process. I repaired the best I could, and it never cracked or chipped the paint. A new feature they added, was a knockout plug in the bottom shelf for running an electric cord though it. It allows you to add a light or small radio in it. Overall, I’m very pleased with this product and will be adding more cabinets in the future.

I am using it in my patio enclosure room to store coffee and tea for my Keurig. I am very satisfied with the number of shelves and the ability to adjust their height. Also, the doors open with ease and close securely.

Ordered two of these cabinets and 36" floor cabinet. Ordered on line, quick delivery to store. Easy to assemble and also came with extra nuts and bolts just in case you lose one. Cabinets are very heavy so a helper to move and hang them would help but you can do it by yourself - I did. Cabinets are solid with adjustable shelves. I think these cabinets will work very well and helped me organize my garage. May buy additional cabinets later on.

I started purchasing cabinets 2 months ago. They are easy to assemble and hang. I used the track systems, which made it even easier. In the end I bought 8 gear box cabinets and two 72x36 uprights. I will be getting more Gladiator products very soon.

I purchased 2 of these to go with my new Gearwall panels and they are fantastic. They come unassembled, so it will take a little work to get them to hang on the wall, but once you figure it out, they are one of the best investments for garage organization. I ended up stacking them on the wall, rather than side-by-side, which works fine. The cabinets are designed to have the door handles on the bottom of the unit, but for the one I was putting on the bottom, I flipped the panels upside down so it is easier to access. All assembly was done with no assistance, but having an extra hand could be helpful. Loving my new cabinets and Gladiator Gearwall!

Been using two of these for a few months and have yet to have one issue. The magnets always close on the doors. They were perfect to hold all my spray cans. Also has a port under it to bring power in to charge the batteries for my Ryobi accessories.
