Hampton Bay just make one kind of track!!! I bought the 5 light kit but of course the pendants I bought had a different connector. Ugh why!!! And the pics and descriptions are pretty unclear. But in the end they worked fine. I painted the pendant glass with a spray paint.

Purchased these to hang corded pendant lights on track light. Works great, they are not an eyesore, and they installed very easy.

Easy to use and good quality product

This had much more to it than I thought. There is a lots going on in that little piece. The good thing is I had a contractor install it. I am sure I could have figured out myself, eventually.

We had this flex track system previously. We had to buy a new system because the new lights no longer fit the old track. So having used the old pendant adapters and the new ones I can definitely say I like the look of the new adapters much better. It is a little bit of a challenge to fit the wires into the ports - not sure on the terminology here - and then screw in the wire support, but it is doable. Love the new lights.

We purchased this to add a pendant light over a table we use as a conference table in our home. Installing it was a matter of stripping the power, neutral and ground wires, and tightening a few screws. Any light that has the length of cord needed to hang it, can be installed into this attachment. My only recommendation would be to make certain to install this attachment near an anchor point on the track lighting, depending on the weight of your light. The attachment is made of a cheaper plastic but it holds fine, looks and matches the track light great, so it isn't a big deal. For the price and the ability to add a pendant light easily, I think it well served that purpose.

We have a Hampton Bay flex-track track lighting system in silver in our kitchen. We wanted to augment the spots we have lighting the surfaces from above and washing the walls with a pair of pendants over the range. These adapters allow users to utilize any corded 120v pendant with a Hampton Bay flex-track system. We were pleased to find them online, and so bought two lovely red glass pendants from another source (they weren't Hampton Bay products, nor need they be for these adapters -which is precisely why we purchased them), and used the pendant adapters to hang the two new additions to our kitchen lighting scheme. It wasn't difficult to wire them up, but it was tedious, and took a bit of forethought and work and a more than just a bit of dexterity to thread the leads to the contacts and attach the clamp which sets the final height (the drop) of the pendant after the cord has been measured & cut. It is difficult to exactly match two lamps drops, because of differences in the way the typical coiled cords are been packaged, and I'll be re-adjusting the height, but that is no fault of the adapters. That said, the adapters themselves are exactly as advertised; they work well, they look good, they are a great value -and they please us.

Good instructions and fairly easy installation. This part should be sold in the stores as there are probably many customers of the rail light kit that would like to use pendant lights in combination with the spots.

Bought 3 of these for attaching standard pendants to Hampton Bay 10-foot flex track. They look great and function perfectly. They could be a bit stronger, but the light weight is good for the track. At times I thought it would break, but no. They're durable enough for the job and strong enough to hang a good sized pendant from. You do, however, need a bit of dexterity to attach the wires to it. If you've done any wiring at all, these should not be an issue. If you're a novice, just read the good directions and take your time.

They are plastic with a brushed steel look finish. It would be great if you could buy add on lights like they claim, but good luck with that. These adapters do what you need them to do if you find other lights you want to add on.

I like the appearance, but it is made of thin fragile plastic. Even worse, the contacts are aligned with a spring-loaded white plastic piece so they touch the wires in the flex track when closed. The white plastic piece cracks and fails after a year or two. I called Hampton Bay, who called the manufacturer, and even though this piece probably costs $0.10 to make it isn't available separately so your $15 pendant adaptor becomes worthless. They suggested that I just buy more of them. :^| Thanks, but no thanks. I'll buy something more reliable and with better customer service to replace it with.

This is a really neat option for the rope lighting. Using this you can pick almost any type of light or pendant light to add to the already good lighting.

Wrong size for my product. Had to go direct with Hampton Bay to purchase the correct one. Local Home Depot was not very helpful. I had to scour the internet to find their number.

So glad that the product I purchased 11 years ago still has parts since this broke while cleaning it.

This adapter will work fine with the correct track. Hampton Bay has made more than one style track. I needed to return the 12' track and get the 10' to fit the lights purchased at Home Depot. I was able to make the adapter work on the 10' track with modifications.

Good way to adapt pendant lights to the old Hampton bay track system that you can no longer purchase lights too. Just had to do a little manual modifications.

Tight working quarters inside. Follow directions but as a tip, remove the 2 screws holding the terminal block and lift it clear. Makes wiring much easier.

Attached a Hampton Bay pendant light to this, and attached the adapter to our track. It works fine. Wiring the pendant light was a bit difficult. I unscrewed the 2 Philips screws that hold the wiring harness to the adapter. Then, I pulled the wiring harness out in order to insert the pendant light wires into the wiring harness, screwed down the clamping screws for the wires, and then screwed the wiring harness back onto the adapter.

It was the wrong product for my needs, I am disappointed that Home Depot does not have this product for linear tracks

Good product, easy enough to install to pendant light and cord, mounted well to my track system. Happy so far!

Worked great

The only reason this was given a "4-star good" rating is because the color needed to repair a remodel job was white - which is no longer available. The only choice was to accept the brushed steel because at lease it complemented the wire down rods on the pendants. We continue to sell white kitchen and bath cabinetry, so the manufacturer should make white adapters available. They were an easy installation by our electricians.
