Not Phillips-Square Drive screws
Different head than described and pictured. Not a phillips-square drive. Heads are Torx/Star drive.

Hi Duke, thank you for your review. What you may have received is our old version of our Guard Dog screws. The new version is a Torx drive, the old version was a PoziDrive - combination of a # 2 Phillips and #2 Square Drive. Just O.K.
These screws were compared to 3 other kinds while I was doing deck work recently. Most screws had a wobble to them as they were driven into the wood as did another brand, indicating that they were not straight. Like 2 other brands, they had relatively shallow bit depths and required care not to strip as they were driven all the way into the wood. I will not be buying any more of these and would not recommend them to others. I will buy more of the Hillman Power Pro screws.

The screws are great! However, they were the wrong length for a fencing installation. As they were automatically presented as a choice (customers who purchased this also purchased . . .) when I purchased fencing online, you may want to update that somehow.
