Adds Great Curb Appeal
This mailbox looks great when you first pull in. In my opinion it adds more appeal to the home versus an all plastic mailbox and post. With the proper tools it is an easy DIY Project, the post is heavy so pending your strength you may require assistance putting it over the 4x4 or 6x6. When attaching the arm for the mailbox I would check all four sides to find the most flat for a better/easy installment. We went with a white mailbox, the kit includes hardware (screws and spacers) to put a new box on as well. I would recommend this product to anyone, very happy with our purchase.

Worth it
I've gotten so many compliments about this mailbox! It's definitely worth the price but do note that it doesn't come with the box part of the mailbox and you have to get that separately. Also, like the other reviews said, the screws that come with this are just garbage.

Very happy with the post. Great looking!
This is a heavy post. You do need some special tools and I recommend a strong man to assist. The wood needed to support the stone sleeve is heavy. Overall worth the effort.

Really like the look of stone
Love it! Getting compliments from many neighbors. Only flaw is the newspaper tube underneath is too narrow!

Great Product with wonderful curb appeal
Purchased this mailbox set and had no issues. Yes, the fiberglass post (stone) will chip if you hit it with a hammer or other hard/sharp object, but if you treat it with care, there are no issues. I've had several compliments from neighbors and friends, and the stone does look very real. Compared to the real thing which would costs upwards of $1000, this is a great deal for $200 and MUCH easier to install than mortaring stone in place. Be aware, however, that the set does NOT include the mailbox which is a separate expense.

ordered 3 & all came damaged. waiting for our fourth to arrive
I fell in love with this mailbox post when I saw it online... so of course I ordered it. It arrived quickly, however from poor UPS handling, it had a hole in the box and the stone was cracked off. So, ordered a second one.....same thing. Ordered a third one....damaged yet again. I am waiting for the fourth one to arrive, and hoping this is the winner! I dont believe the manufacture should get a bad rap, it's really all in the handling from UPS. If I wasnt so determined and in love with the look, I probably would have given up and chosen something else. But I love it and know that once a good one arrives, it will be worth the wait. So be prepared to have problems and have plenty of patience.

Disappointed with arrival
The stone part of this looks great, but the brace curve is not white as I expected, it's more cream colored. But the worst part was it arrived with no instructions or hardware. We were able to put it up (my father in law is very handy) so it's been up for 2 weeks and the parts and instructions Home Depot sent have still not arrived! But now that it's up, it looks really great

Great product - really improves the landscape
I was amazed when I opened the box and saw the post! The online photos do not do it justice, this is a beautiful, well manufactured product that totally changed the landscape appearance of my front yard. The post is solid molded one-piece, but the simulated stone is done so well that one cannot tell the stones were not individually laid. Installation is simple and easy, IF you READ and follow directions. I placed it right over my existing 4x4 mail box post, and took another reviewer's advice about screwing an additional 2x4 into one side and the back of the existing post to add stability. There is ample room to place the stone post over a 6x6 as well. Follow the installation instructions: do not try to center the new post around the 4x4 or 6x6. Push the stone post completely against the street-facing side of the inner 4x4 or 6x6. Also, word of advice: take the plastic bag of screws that comes in the box, and discard them. They are substandard and will strip if you try to use them. Pick up some 4" deck screws and use these to affix the mail box bracket by screwing through the stone facade and into the inner 4x4. My new mail box post is sturdy, secure, and I couldn't be happier with the purchase.

Beautiful looking, easy install.
The product looks nice, the installation instructions were clear, and it didn't take too long to complete the installation. The only negative is that the screw heads for attaching the mailbox post to the support post stripped too easily. Make sure you pre-drill with a wide enough drill bit. They didn't go all the way in, and I had to back them out manually.

Would buy again. Great post for price.
Add a least one 2x4 piece of wood to your post. You need this to screw in the arm to the post. Their screws strip if you use a power drill. They can only be put in by hand. If using a power drill buy better screws. First post was cracked. Home Depot was great about sending another one fast.
Only had 2 months. Love it and would buy another one.

This mailbox added instant elegant curb appeal to our home!
This mailbox was easy to install and looks beautiful!
We added a copper extra large mailbox to give it more "pop". The large mailbox had to be attached to a piece of wood, (which we treated) and then the wood was attached to the brace.....an extra step, but definitely worth it.

Great looking
I had been looking at this mailpost online for a while and I am thrilled I finally bought it. It looks beautiful. It is sturdy. My only caution is that one needs to make sure to order a standard size mailbox, not a large size.

looks great, relatively easy to install
I am very pleased with my new mailbox post. It looks great and is very sturdy. It came with all the parts and nothing was damaged! I want 2 more, however they are out of stock and not sure they will receive more. That is disappointing. I should have ordered all 3 at the same time.

Excellent product with great customer support!
We specifically wanted this product because it would complement stonework on our home without the expense of a custom-made post. This item exceeded our expectations. We couldn't be happier. The quality is excellent and the installation is easy.

curb appeal is pleasing - however beware
The unit is as advertised, visually pleasing, however the materials used to construct parts of the unit are found to be lacking. The cap has corner chips and hairline cracks. The column has separation cracks at the side joints. The polymer support (plastic) is not an acceptable material to screw the mailbox to. The screws have no substance to grip. The customer will have to rely on "creative engineering" to attach the mailbox to the support. I am overall pleased with the look of the unit, however I am suspect as to how long the unit will last due to construction and materials used.

Great Value
The post is really nice, neighbors thought it was real stone. In fact, purchased a second one to place on opposite side of driveway without mailbox, added an address plate to it and it looks great! Packaging for the column could have been better, first one arrived damaged. Return was hastle free at local Home Depot.
