The thermocouple worked. It was not a perfect replacement (or it would have gotten 5 stars), nor did it even fit it's own mount snugly (or it would have gotten 4 stars). It worked and fit well enough that it does not move excessively in the mount provided (for a rating of "Average" 3 stars). It is considered a "Universal" fit thermocouple. It has worked for a few days; only time will tell if it has long term durability.

The item was defective. I will return back to store.
