They are just what we were looking for great value and price but wish they came with a water treatment.

It’s a nice sturdy drum, but as description says it doesn’t have prepaid spot for water spout.

not 100%. I needed a 55gal barrel with a top that can be removed. I use it to store grain for cattle farm animals

I suppose it's my fault for not noticing it in the product description, but there is no removable lid. So, it is impossible to install a spigot in the bottom (you wouldn't be able to tighten the nut). Also, the description mentions using this for "composting", but you would have to force your material through the small bung holes.

Just what it is sppused to be and good quality.

Makes a great rain storage container

Purchased this to make a rain barrel, mine had no blemishes. ( all white) Very sturdy, well made, which made it easy to drill and plumb and place fittings to make a great rain barrel.

Very good ítem, i would recommend it. 55glns more than enough for my use but the construction material of it make it alot more stronger and heat resistant.

While I'm sure this is a quality product, it is not suited for use as a composting barrel in the Arizona heat. Within an hour of being placed into it's shaded place, and composting materials added into it, the plastic materials softened and the barrel "sank' out of position in it's support frame, leaving me to purchase a steel drum in it's stead. A lesson learned, albeit, the hard way. The DIY video I watched should include temperature ranges and locales best suited for this type of application using this product.

Perfect. Actually no blemishes. I bought this to do aquarium water changes. Cut the top off with a circular saw.

Rain barrels exceeded my expectations. Fast, free delivery and they are great.

The openings at the top are threaded only for 1/2 inch pipe. THe larger openings are not standard thread of any kind. This is just a big plastic barrel that was originally intended for something else and somebody thought it was better than nothing for storing rain water. As such, it is largely overpriced. Neither opening is large enough to accommodate a gutter drain, and in order to get water out, you have to have some kind of pump as there is no bottom drain.

Home Depot does not sell the faucet I needed to assemble. I am going to buy another barrel since it cost less than most and sealed so as not to leak.
