I used this product last year on some stepping stones that were always dirty and stained and it performed very well. I used it again this year on some pavers that had been stained with motor oil. I cleaned them thoroughly but they were still stained. The Eagle Sealer seemed to bond well, I was afraid to use a water base sealer . This product has greater viscosity than water base sealers and leaves a nice heavy coat on your surface. I would buy it again.

We put this on our INDOOR brick floor and it turned out great. Installation is a breeze. The first coat is the easiest because you can see exactly where you have/have not rolled. After the first coat, it was actually really hard to tell the difference between where the floor was wet or dry. It truly is a WET LOOK! I ordered 2 x 5-gallon buckets of this stuff because it said that it covers 500 sq ft. We have 300 sq ft of brick and I applied 4 coats and I still have some left from the first bucket! I returned the extra/unused bucket to HD for a refund. If you are using this indoors, be aware that this product is NOT intended for indoor use. It is super duper smelly. We were able to keep the area well-ventilated AND sealed off from the rest of our house. The weather was perfect for application (warm and dry) and we literally left a dozen windows open and 2 fans going for a week straight. I can honestly tell you that it took a solid 2 weeks for the odor to completely go away. That being said, I'd do it again. Great product. Great price.

I usually don’t write reviews, but I had to for this product. Reading the reviews for this sealer convinced me to give it a try. And after applying it this past weekend to our 4 year old stamped concrete patio, there was no doubt, I made the right choice. It looks like it did the day they finished the project 4 years ago - I love the glossy “wet” look. It goes on easy using 3/8” nap rollers. We put two coats on it. The patio is approximately 800 SQFT. We used just over 4 gallons, and now have 1 gallon saved off for future use. It was weird though, I could not get this delivered to a Virginia or Maryland Home Depot. I had to drive to Charlestown WV (40 miles) to pick it up in their store. The trip was worth it. I highly recommend this product. I’ll be buying more in 3 or 4 years’ time. Total project cost (including rollers), $120. It beats the cost of having it done by a contractor by a long shot.

I was able to apply this sealer when temperatures were in the 70's and 80's and it was partly cloudy, which really helped. I think it made a big difference in set up time, but I still had to work fast to try to blend the edges of the small area I was applying with the area I had just finished. First coat appeared uneven but the second coat looked much better. I applied this to colored, stamped concrete. The quality of the stamping was not so great, so I had more surface roughness to deal with. Using a 3/4" knap roller, I had to really work the sealer into the low spots and rough areas. It's been probably 5 years since concrete had been previously sealed. As a result of those two factors, I was only able to get 125 sq ft/gallon for two coats on 625 sq ft of patio. Concrete looks great so now we'll see how long it lasts. So far, I'm very pleased with this sealer. The photo doesn't show it that well but finish is very glossy.

DISCOLORED MY CONCRETE - This product, applied according to manufacturer's instructions, turned my concrete a few shades darker. See attached photo. The left side is the treated side and the right side is the untreated side. Prior to application, the left side looked white and new just like the right side.

Dear Valued Home Depot Customer, thank you for choosing Eagle. The Gloss Coat is a wet look, high gloss, film forming sealer. From the looks of your picture you added to your review it appears you applied the sealer uneven. If you would like us to help you please contact us at info@eaglesealer.com.

I bought the Egale High Gloss sealer to seal a newly poured concrete porch with a light broom texture; porched had been poured about six weeks earlier. I used a clean and etch product to clean off the mud and grim that had accumulated. I then rinsed the porch well and waited 24 hours for the porch to dry as recommend in the directions on the bucket of sealer. I used a paint brush to cut in the edges and a roller for the field. I poured some of the sealer into an old plastic ice cream bucket so I could refill my paint tray a few times without having to lift the heavy five gallon bucket of sealer. The pour spout on the five gallon bucket made pouring easy. I applied two coats of sealer as recommend in the directions. The sealer applied at about the estimated rate of applcation. I applied my first coat in the evening and the second coat early the next morning. Temperatures were in the mid 80's with high humidity so I wanted to make sure the sealer had plenty of time to dry between coats. When the first coat dried the sealer looked splotchy in its sheen and you could see the roller marks. After applying the second coat I had a nice light sheen; not a see your reflection in it shine but just a nice sheen. My broom texture came threw the sealer so I did not have to add any anti slip additive. The sealer just kind of soaks into the concert and leaves a shiny film on top. I wish I had acid stained the porch in a grey colored stain because I loved the leopard type spots that you could see when the sealer was wet. When the sealer dried the porch as just a slightly darker shade of grey then it was before sealing. I allowed the sealer to dry for 48 hours before walking on it. It felt dry to the touch before noon on the day of second applcation but I wanted to make sure it was good and dry before using the porch again. Porch has only been sealed for a week so far and still looking good. Water beads up on top of the porch now! Says not to apply sealer more than every other year to prevent buildup so I'm hoping it will be long wearing. For ease of cleanup I just wore disposable gloves and threw the roller pad away after each coat. I made sure to pull the roller pad off the roller frame since I did not want to risk the pad sticking to the roller frame after drying. My disposable gloves came in handy for removing the roller pad soaked in sealer. For the paint brush I placed it in an old ice cream bucket and put the lid on it. This kept the sealer on the paint brush from drying out and allowed me to reuse the paint brush. As for the paint tray, I just poured out any remaining sealer and placed it upside down on a scrap of house wrap I had. This allowed me to pull the house wrap scrap off of the paint tray edges where the sealer had dried and reuse the paint tray.

Be cautious when applying in ANY sunlight. First coat in the early morning and it went on nicely. Second coat was applied around 11am on a 70° partly sunny/cloudy day began bubbling everywhere. Had to scrape the bubbles off and apply another thin coat in the evening. Turned out OK, but still bubbled a little bit the next afternoon when the sun was overhead. Overall, I'm happy with the finish even though there were some bubbles in the final coat. When they were scraped off, they are hardly noticeable. In hindsight, I would do this job in the Fall or Spring when the temps are much lower

Today I applied this sealant to my brick paver walkway in Michigan. I took other reviewers advice and purcahased the Eagle 18" roller, heavy plastic pan, gloves, eye protection and respirator. Definitely the right call on all of them. I would add a 2 inch brush and a metal can for touching up the edges and for vertical surfaces (front step). It went on very easily with the roller. I did put a thinner second coat on but this was mostly likely because the pavers had never been sealed and were quite porous. It looks great. I'm not as concerned with the water proofing as I am with keeping the pavers from looking ashy and chalky. I recommend this product. Go for it. It isn't hard and I'm happy with the results.

I have about 1200 sq ft of concrete apron around the pool. Was thinking to hire somebody to apple this sealer. They quoted $1300. I read the instructions and applied it myself. It should be noted that the existing surface is somewhat smooth. I used 3/8" roller and kept it wet in the product while rolling the sealer on. It took about 3 1/2 hours to finish the job. The look is fantastic, the same way when they put it originally. First time around it lasted 3 seasons. The cost of the product per year less than$35.00 How could it get any better. Ah, but it it can. Every time I look at the work done-the feeling of satisfaction and accomplishment is overwhelming. Very GOOD product.

My sidewalks are stamped. I had intended to use a deep nap roller, but that didn't work very well so I tried a sprayer. Gloss coat is too thick for that so I ended up using a paint brush. Lots of work, but 4 hours later it looks pretty darn nice. We will just have to wait and see how long it lasts.

            Amazing results!
A little goes a long way! I have a two stamped, stained patio's, with a connector sidewalk and a long sidewalk to the driveway. I thought I might have to order more, but i would start with the 5 gal. bucket. I ended up with at least a quarter of the 5 gal. bucket left-over. Easy to apply. Stays glossy. It's three weeks later now and still looks like a brand new patio! Great stuff!

Quality product, make sure you have the right sprayer or roller... otherwise don't write a bad review, it will be you not the product
I have used this product for a number of years and it is consistent in quality. IMPORTANT TIP: use a very high quality sprayer. The average pump sprayer will not deliver a good experience as they will clog up very fast, and the average pump wands drip incessantly even when the trigger is not deployed. May I suggest the Chapin 19249 Extreme dripless 3.5 gallon model. It is of steel construction and designed to spray a high solids product and tolerate solvents. You will have sticker shock, but in the long run this tank will last you a very long time (if you keep it cleaned and cared for). Make sure to clean up with a run through of solvent such as Xylene and a final run through of Mineral Spirits as a final conditioner. -- This product will add a "wet look" to your block, and darken the sheen slightly. See photo for an example of sealed block vs a grey unsealed block sitting on top of the block run. -- Also, this product is a high solids acrylic and will begin to dry fairly fast. Your first application will require more product. Renew applications may be done at 2 or 3 year intervals. -- You may add a thinner such as Xylene to aid in pump dispersion, although do not add more than a quart per two gallons of original material.

Great Concrete Sealer for Exposed Aggregate
The concrete sealer was delivered quickly to my home. The instruction were easy to understand. The product was easy to put down. I used a roller with a 3/4" nap. The coverage was a little better than described. I put down 2 coats the concrete looks great. The gloss look is not too extreme. I would describe it as just right. I will definitely re-order this product again when I need to re-seal my patio.

            Eagle Gloss Coat
We purchased this product to re-seal our driveway. In previous years we always used a water based sealer. The solvent base was a little cheaper so we decided to try it. It covers well and appears to be working well (it's only a few weeks so it's difficult to say for sure). May go back to water based for ease of cleanup.

              Performs as expected, good product
I have about 750 square feet and I may have put extra product on the stones. I purchased 15 gallons and applied a sprayed coat back rolled. I soaked the sand with sealer and rolled a coat over the the whole patio. I used about 11 gallons and a major portion went into the sand joints to harden and seal them. I expected a shiny wet look but it did not come out as I had envisioned. The right side is 3rd coated and the left side is just second coat, I had previously coated most as there is a small extension. This is second use of the product and I would recommend. In Florida the sealer has a shorter life and requires reseal sooner than I would expect. We had rain and the beading is as expected.

Excellent coverage just roll it on....!!!!
I have done two jobs with this sealer the first one was six year old regular pavers and the other was 1'x1' garden pavers I installed and the results were great. I only got 350 to 400 square feet per 5gal.so here are the details how i achieved my results. 1st pressure wash even if new wait a minimum of 24 hours to dry. 2nd buy the extra large silver rolling pan not plastic at homedepot paint dept. and a 1/2 inch nap or greater roller. 3rd bring a blower to clear pavers of all debris and start rolling. It didn't matter if I went back a second time after the initial coat was dry the same day it still applied evenly and easily. You can do one coat I just filled the pan up and soaked the roller really good and laid it on. cheers

              Excellent for pavers.
The sealer was excellent and looks great! I've used other sealers that promised a "wet look", but never held up to their claims. I usually hire a handyman to pressure and seal the approximately 1500 sq. ft concrete pavers in my backyard but, I thought I could save a lot of money DIY on the weekend. After pressure cleaning the patio and letting it dry for a day, I applied the sealer with a paint roller. Just be sure to wear proper shoes. I wore sandals like a noob and ended up with glossy feet. The results were immediate. As far as duration, time will only tell, but my initial impressions are good.

Gloss Coat Clear Wet Look Solvent-Based Acrylic Concrete Sealer
The Eagle solvent base gloss 25% acrylic sealer was also problematic in many ways. The product literature reads as a “high-gloss coating” when actually after 3 coats shows at best a mat finish on any angle but is crystal clear to the substrate or stained surface. When looked at directly over head, strait down it is not clear at all and definitely not glossy in the least. Homedepot.com web site references the product as “Gloss Coat Clear Wet Look Solvent-Based Acrylic Concrete Sealer”. Application instructions on the gallon container state to “cross-roll with a pre-wetted roller” but in the tech sheet on line to “dip with each stroke and cross-roll without re-dipping”. "The continual dipping with the first coat gives a heavy application and the cross-rolling allows for an even application." Then it is contradicted by stating to "apply 2 thin coats". To complicate the application process further, a spread rate of 300 sq ft for smooth-troweled surfaces conflicts with the “dip with each stroke”, “cross roll with a pre-wetted roller”, “apply 2 thin coats” etc. As a professional painter for over 30 years this is the most confusing set of manufacture application instructions I have ever tried to understand. This Eagle solvent based clear sealer is not even close to what it markets and the user of their product is on their own on how to apply. Tragically Eagle does not have a company 800 call number anywhere and you have to email them to get a phone number to get questions answered. I was told in the first call with a female rep, they did not want to take simple questions from consumers explaining why there is no phone number on their containers. The second call I made to a male rep was cordial and understanding with the misleading product application instructions. After I abandoned 3 attempts with reactive stain and went to water based concrete stain he was quick to blame or be suspect of the water based stain somehow causing the lack of gloss sheen in the sealer as if the fine colorant particles that are stable in the pores of the concrete could migrate up into the clear coat and impact the sheen 3 coats later with complete drying between coats. The truth is this Eagle Gloss Coat is not a “high-gloss coating” or a “wet look”and is not a good build in 2 coats or even 4 coats in test areas. Additional test showed after 7 coats the build did show fairly glossy but not uniform. If your looking for a high gloss sealer do not use Eagle acrylic gloss sealer. The rep stated “you will not get a high build and deep gloss coat like a urethane or epoxy”. From the marketing and application instructions you are not given that important information until after you have spent the money and time and found out you should have used something else with no way to undo and change clear coat types. Not sure why I had problems and others didn't but this is my experience in the last few weeks.

Excellent product, goes on easy and gives a great look.
I just put down 12 gallons on my new patio pavers and I am very happy with this product. If I can figure out how to post pics here I will. I used a 3/4inch nap roller and it worked great. Being that these were new pavers it soaked up the sealer quickly. But the product covered over 300 feet per gallon. The smell is VERY strong, but outside with a bit of wind it is fine. I would NOT recommend this product for inside jobs. You absolutely need to do two coats. The second coat is where you get the wet gloss look. Don't expect to get that wet look on one coat of new concrete. You can be liberal with the product on the first coat, but make sure you keep the 2nd coat thin and do no leave puddles. I put it down on a cloudy day that was about 55 to 60 degrees and about 50 percent humidity and the first coat dried in two hours. The second coat took 4 plus hours. I would not recommend putting the second coat on in the same day unless it was very low humidity <35% and warm >60 and windy and you gave the first coat at least 2 hours. This product is very clear and stays clear. I will use this again.

              Eagle Concrete Sealer is Great!
Purchased in Sep 2015 to seal my exposed aggregate driveway. Product was easy to use and apply. The recommended 1-1/4' nap seemed a little overbearing, so I went with a 3/4' nap and it went great. I would say the 100sqft/gal ratio is fairly accurate. I am not sure on the durability of this product as I just applied it a day before typing this, but so far I am very pleased with the outcome and appearance of my driveway. Take a look at the before and after pic I have attached.

Worked as advertised, extremely happy with the results
I used this product on an exterior concrete walk way that was acid stained. The finished concrete texture is trowel finished but not broomed, but it is not as smooth as an interior floor finish. Also, the concrete has a pitted affect that was achieved by putting melting salt on top of trowel finished surface. I had used a different brand before, but this solvent based sealer is a little thinner, but worked better as it was easier to spread with a roller. I applied the Eagle sealer as a second coat on top of the other brand. Because the Eagle sealer is thinner than the other brand, the sealer flowed into the pitted areas as I rolled the product, which was not possible with the first coat using the other brand. This is a good value. The only negative is the metal can design makes pouring the product messy. After month of use on an exterior walkway, the finish looks like the day it was applied, fantastic! Thanks Home Depot for carrying the product.

              Shiny repellant finish
Really love this product. It's easy to apply, makes concrete look stunning, and creates a liquid repellant finish. At least two coats is a must if you want maximum repellency. Please wear a respirator or mask because the fumes are a bit loud. One attached picture shows the finish with two coats. The other picture shows rain water that has been standing for at least three hours with zero soak through.

              Finish looks great
Looks great - really makes the color pop. Make sure you get all the fuzzies off of the roller before applying. Our first coat looked great but wanted a 2nd coat as the edges were a little light. We used a new roller for the second coat and had fuzz everywhere which is difficult to remove. Check online as to how to de-fuzz your roller and you can save yourself the headache. Also very strong solvent smell so wear a respirator.

Concrete sealer for sealing concrete ceilings in a Loft
I used 15 gallons to seal approximately 1000sq feet of ceilings and 500sq feet of cinder block walls. The product goes on very easily with minimal runs and drips. The application varies depending on the size of the tip you put in your sprayer. I put four coats on the walls and three on the ceilings. It looked great after two coats on each but the more I put on the better it looked. The fumes of the product can be overwhelming so make sure you ventilate the area and also make sure you buy some xylene to clean your equipment after each use. The product leaves a very high gloss shine. I used rolls of thick cardboard paper to protect my hardwood floors and regular brown paper and painters tape to protect my sheet rock. I also suggest wearing a mask, long sleeves and hat/head covering while spraying. This product covered and dried much better than the Minwax Fast drying Polyurethane. See the before and after pictures. It is crucial to seal your concrete ceilings and walls because they will continually product silica dust that will get in your lungs, all over your furniture and will also damage your HVAC unit. I highly recommend this product and chose it based on the other reviews and pictures. Very happy with the end results.

              Excellent product!!
I spent a lot of time searching for a good concrete sealer and used a few kinds and none of them worked like this one. I used this on a Flagstone patio and the look is amazing; it was extremely easy to apply too. It took me about two hours to paint a 1,000 sq ft area and the results were amazing I only did one coat and it looked really good and the surface did not get slippery or sticky just perfect. I used a pressure washer and muriatic acid to clean the surface 24 hours before I applied the sealer. I only did one coat, I will wait and see how it does in the next few days and maybe apply a second one.

              Good product
I didn't give it 5 stars because it is difficult to apply. The roller failed to fill in the sand joints ( I put it on pavers and had a 1/2 in. nap). I bought a sprayer and I think the product is too thick to spray. I ended up saturating the joints and a little on top the brick. My wife went behind me with a roller. It looks great. Not so much a gloss but more of a satin. That is what I read would happen and that is what I wanted. The smell got into our house and 24 hours later is still detectable - KEEP your windows closed.

It didn't give us the shine we want.
I have to admit it was easy to spread but as soon as you started spreading the fumes are so strong and the container is not as really good for pouring. I guess it really depend on the stone you used, some will absorbed it more than the others. Maybe if we do the third coating then we will get the shine that we want.
