super easy to use..goes on with no elbow grease at all

Very liquidy and hard to blend

I used this product to protect a milk paint I used in refurbishing an old dresser. Came out beautifully! Could not be more happy with the results.

I just finished using chalk paint on a very old bedroom set, I would highly recommend this product, I waxed and sealed all of the pieces, using Americana cream wax, its easy to apply, dries quickly and seals well.

There was no difference in the wood pieces of furniture I used it on and it was too expensive.

We have been using this product for a couple of years now. Applies easily, goes much further per container than most would expect. We have used approx 10 - 12 containers. Love it.

Don't like it in comparison to other waxes that I used. I had several containers and they were all very watery.

It is a solid finish, but not worth the premium. It really doesn't have a tint or unique finish. Better off using water based poly.

not enough shene

When I read the tiny print at home I decided not to use. It requires too many hrs before use. I am keeping it and if I try a project I can wait a long time to use I will try it. (maybe a small Christmas Gift.) I am sure it does a beautiful job from what I hear, just not for this project.

Love this stuff! I make my own chalk paint & always coat it with the wax finish afterward. Turns out amazing & helps the paint job last but still have the chalk paint look to it. A little goes a long way! Couldn't ask for a better product!

I picked up some free end tables and a dining table. I've got kids, so I just wanted a quick and easy project that still would look good. I used rustoleum chalk paints, and this wax over both. I applied the wax with a sock (yes, a sock because I'm cheap) and I did 2 coats. They look awesome! The wax went on very nicely, and gives the tables a nice, hand-rubbed appearance, except all I had to do was wipe! If you want a no line factory sprayed kind of appearance this isn't for you. I chose not to buff, and it seems to have sealed the chalk paint nicely. I am going to put a vinyl clear table protector over the dining table for easy cleaning (because...kids). I've never painted/waxed anything, and this wax was very easy to use. I'm not quite sure how anyone could claim this ruined furniture...I mean I used a sock and it turned out fine.

This is not chalk paint. I put chalk paint in the search bar, and I guess I wasn't scrutinizing enough when this came up under chalk paint. It doesn't even say which kind of paint it is on the jar. I wish Home Depot were clearer that this is NOT chalk paint, because if people are searching, these are not in the store, and what I see here online is American Decor, the names of the color in three languages. It is an enamel paint, and the color is a warm, off-white. It goes on thick, like I would imagine chalk paint would. I used it on bare wood, which you can do with chalk paint. I did not prime it, thinking it was chalk paint. I used it on a small tabletop that is for indoors anyway. I think in their zeal to sell whatever they have, Home Depot isn't clear. Rustoleum has the only chalk paint sold in the store and in two colors. I would not recommend this to someone looking for chalk paint, because to me it is not a suitable substitute. You can't put wax on it and shade it. The color picks up everything it is on. I put the table top on newspaper and painted the top. I gave it three coats and it was only an 18" round piece of pinewood. Though the paint seemed dry -- even withstood light sanding -- it picked up every bit of color when I turned it over onto the newsprint. Maybe this paint will fit the bill for someone looking for a thick enamel but not as a substitute for chalk paint, that would give a lot of versatility to be waxed, shaded with dark wax etc. Home Depot should either carry a decent chalk paint and there are many brands not just the one well-known one, or not at all.

I had no idea about this product, but the information provided seemed to match my needs. Wow, was I surprised. This product met ALL my requirements and exceeded my expectations. I'm glad I found this. I'll be using it much more now that I've used it. Easy to apply and buff.
