Love it!
My husband and I have a small living space, so we bought the dishwasher for this purpose. It sits on counter and works great!

This product doesn't take much space on the countertop
This product is very, very quiet. It doesn't use a lot of water when compared to hand washing.

Countertop dishwasher is a necessity for us
This is the third Danby Dishwasher I've purchased in about ten years. The first one lasted about seven or five years and the second one, three years. This latest one has higher capacity and a shorter duration normal cycle -- and it gets the dishes clean.

    Easy hook up and use
Wish I had purchased this little gem earlier. It has made my life much easier. It's easy to set up and use, I completely installed it myself. I may be a little "handier" than some woman but it was easy to hook up. Just follow the instructions and viola - excellent little dishwasher at your service! when I have company I have to run two cycles to get all the dishes but that's no big deal. I really have no complaints, it gets the job done.

Exactly what I was looking for
This counter top dishwasher was very simple to unpack and set up. It washes pots, place settings and stemware very well. The silverware rack seams to block the water stream from cleaning silverware place in the rack but that is my only issue. The cycle times are clearly displayed at the start of the cycle and noise level is typical.

    wonderful machain
i bought this 5 months ago thought why not.after 10 years or hand washing my dishes and letting them air dry.Now i can't wait to load it.One thing I've noticed is when you use the Cascade Packs that have Dawn in them use the orange citrus scent ones add a little bit of water to them and poke at them with your finger to get it all wet. Some times the pods like to stick to the plastic housing and not come all the way out just a idea.Use the Jet dry it makes your dishes come out nice and shiny.Once in a while use a cap of bleach and turn off the Jet dry or you get suds the Bleach kills all the bad thing in it do not use bleach with your loading rack where you put your dishes it will eat the rubber coding

      very satisfied
I purchased a Danby counter-top dishwasher to replace another brand that only lasted three years. Wow, what a difference, and what a lesson I learned. First the dishwasher. The Danby is ultra quiet; It has a digital read-out to show how much time is left; It holds more than the other brand; Dishes are hot at the end of the cycle, so they dry very quickly; The instruction manual is excellent, well written and well illustrated. Home Depot's customer service is excellent. The unit was damaged in transit and Home Depot immediately replaced it. What a difference! I bought a unit from an on-line store who did not want to honor their warranty. Their unit came with a cracked door and they first said that that was cosmetic and wasn't covered. Then the replacement burned out after a month and they sent me the electronic mother board (that didn't fit) and I was expected to make the repair. Finally the third unit lasted only 3 years. I will continue to buy on-line but only from brick and mortar stores such as Home Depot and other big-name companies.

Product is great I'll explain imperfections though
I thought I should mention: As with virtually any product that comes in any more than one piece, on one of the first few pages of the instruction booklet it lists the parts that are supposed to be included. It shouldn't be missing anything but if it is you can call the Manufacturer and they will usually just ship one provided you have proof of purchase, and if not you can bring it back to the store, and exchange it as you know the missing part will almost certainly be in the next one. Anyway I did notice that they reccomend powder soap and not the all in one packages/tablets, but the all in one packages work way better than the powder. Even with a rinse aid, the powder leaves residue on stainless steel, as I suspect that particular powder would in any dishwasher, but the packages have been flawless to me so far. I would reccomend the normal or heavy wash cycle, light just isn't quite good enough. Also as with any dishwasher a quick rinse of big food pieces from dishes prior to loading will signifigantly lengthen the amount of time between having to clean the filter. It's actually been over half a year for me and I haven't had to clean the filter once cause I keep doing this. Like the instructions say make sure to use 100% hot water on full power, the machine has to further heat the water anyway, so why wear it out faster by using cold water? The cutlery rack is near where the soap thing open up, so don't put any cutlery on the rows closest to the door as it will block it(There is still lots of other cutlery room). You can always remove the cutlery rack to get bigger dishes in there if you want.

        Good Quality, Quiet
We are a family of 4 and it easily fits all our dishes. Cleans very well, and runs quietly. Have had it for approximately a month and have no complaints with it. Definitely would recommend this dishwasher!

        A machine that washes dishes
I like this machine because it's white and very quiet. It has the buttons that are I'm used to. Also the lights do the same and in a helpful manner. It makes the water hotter than my sink can! But don't try cooking in it, your food will get wet. It sits right on my counter, handy, but I had to put it there.

AWESOME Dishwasher I recommend to everyone
This dishwasher has been the best dish washer I have ever had. I have not had any problems with it. It was very easy to hook up and sits perfectly on my counter top. I have not had a dish come out still soiled.

This product is very easy to hook up and use
I live in a small house and the kitchen is very small. There is not much counter space at all. I placed my dishwasher where I used to air dry the dishes. I takes up the same amount of space but it looks cleaner, and not messy. This dishwasher is easy to hook up and to run, and does a great job on cleaning the dishes. I would highly recommend this countertop dishwasher.

The customer reviews where right on point!!! This counter top dishwasher packs a punch; good things come in small packages.
The Danby counter top dishwasher is an excellent choice for taking a load off in the kitchen. The wash cycle selections are awesome you have a choice from full loads to half, or just pots & pans. It was actually a gift for my wife, but I find myself putting a load on everyday just because it does such a good job on the dishes. Well all in all it's a great addition to the kitchen appliances,

So convenient and fits in small kitchen
I had an earlier version of this compact dishwasher a few years ago and loved it, but then moved to a home with a full size dishwasher. I missed my little dishwasher, because the full size one never cleaned as well! I just moved back to an apartment and wanted to get one of these right away. The good news is, I now have one that is undamaged and works great. The bad news is, the first one they sent was packaged poorly and severely dented. It was just in the store box, without any external protection, and sent by UPS. It was somewhat difficult to arrange return as the item is heavy. The second one they sent came with an outer box as well as the inner box and is fine. The unit works well and is easy to install, and the quick connect is compatible with the quick connect for my clothes washing machine. One thing that has not improved since the earlier model, though, is the fragile red pressure release button. On my old dishwasher, it broke pretty quickly. It hasn't broken yet on this one but I'm sure it will wear out before anything else, as it is still quite flimsy.

        Perfect purchase
I bought this for my daughter to use in her small mobile home...she loves it! It is very user friendly and quiet. Everything about this unit is tops..just snap the hose on your faucet and you are ready to go. The only problem we had was the unit was dented on the lower left corner during shipping. She decided it was not worth sending back for an exchange as it did not affect performance.

        Fits great under our cabinets!
I read all the reviews on the Danby portable dishwasher before we purchased and overall I was happy with what I read , so we decided to go with this model . I have to say that it has met all of our needs and made life so much easier, since dish washing is not one one of my favorite jobs!!

It is just perfect for what we needed!
We have some bigger plates than normal, so not all of them fit, however, most of our items do and it does an amazing job at cleaning them. We love it!!

This product has poor features, can't control wash/rinse cycle times and they are extremely long.
Product is cumbersome. Cycles are unnecessarily long and you cannot control them; they are pre-programmed. Dishes do not clean well. I am very disappointed and hope HomeDepot will allow me to return it. I had a Danby before and was very happy but this one is poor on many counts.

        poor product
I purchased this product in June 2012, within 4 months it wasn't working. And this was the second dishwasher they had to send me, the first was so dented it couldn't be used. The second one (that quit) only had three small dents but usable. What a waste of money.

        Perfect for a tiny apartment!
I have a VERY small kitchen in an in-law suit I am renting and I absolutely loathe doing the dishes! I didn't want to invest major money into having a big dishwasher installed because it's not my house and the portable dishwashers on wheels are too bulky for my space. This little washer fits perfectly on my counter where my dish rack used to sit. No need for that anymore! it runs quietly, not a lot of water use but it get everything clean!

        Middle of the Road
I like it. It does its job, and it was very easy for someone with no hardware experience to instal. It was simply a matter of twisting one part onto another part, much like a pop bottle. I'm not sure why others had problems with their machines leaking, unless they didn't tighten it enough. I did feel foolish because I was looking around for the part the screws onto the sink faucet, because I thought it would be separate, but it was attached to the white tube. The only thing I don't like about this is we have some plates that are just a hair too wide in diameter to fit standing straight up, so I have to tilt them and take up more space to get them in. Other than that, as a 3 person house, this does very well.

Easy to use, just needs more space
I wanted a countertop dishwasher for a while, since our apartment is too small to have one. After doing some research, I decided to go with this brand and model. Overall, I wish I could fit more items in there. The utensil basket tends to take up a lot of space. My fiance and I cook at lot, so we'll have pots and pans as well as dishes to clean. To get everything done, we have to run it twice. I guess it wouldn't be so much of a problem if we didn't have to move it back and forth every time we need to use it. Our kitchen is that small that we don't even have the counter space to fit it. So it ends up in the middle of our kitchen on a cart, which makes it impossible to do anything while the dishes are running. This is very inconvenient but probably just our on unique situation. I think this would be a lot easier if I could just keep it in one place, on the counter next to the sink. It would be out of my way, and I could do other things in the kitchen while my dishes are being cleaned. The cleaning functionality is pretty good. There were some stray bits of food here and there after the wash was done, but I like that I can sanitize my cutting boards in it. I also recommend, as many other people have to leave the door open to let everything dry once the cycle is done. This is another reason it's somewhat inconvenient to have to do 2 loads in a row. You have to dry the dishes from the first load yourself in order to get the pots in for the 2nd load. Oh, and do yourself a favor and get the good quality dishwashing liquid. There's really no point to a dishwasher if you have to wash the dishes again afterwards.

        Nice unit
Well, I found that the unit had a dent in the side after unpacking it ( seemed packed well ) but it wouldn't show with where I was placing the unit so I decided to install the unit to see if it worked okay. Hooking up the hoses was fast and easy. The unit has great features that you'd find on full-sized, built in models except for heated dry but it must heat the water because things are very hot at the end of the cycle so they dry pretty fast. The unit did a nice job except for one problem.... that is the soap dispenser door would only open on occasion which basically amounted to a wasted wash. After I noticed this, I'd start a cycle, let it run a few minutes and check the door - not opening. I even ran the unit empty to make sure nothing was obstructing the door and it still didn't open. I'm not thinking that the dent is a factor and probably something got jarred and caused the door problem. I called Danby and explained. They said to return it to Home Depot which I did. Wasn't a lot of fun repacking and lugging it there but I wanted a unit that worked properly. Since it is a ship-only item there isn't an exchange so I was told that I'd just have to reorder which I did today. Hoping UPS is more gentle with this one! In summation; the washer did a very nice job when it worked properly and I'm hoping to be able to write another review for the replacement.

Item is good but condition was not so good.
The washer works great. I like the quick release for the water and the functions are simple and easy to use. When we received the product the box was in great condition. But when I removed the 2 boxes I found a dent in the side. My conclusion is that the factory shipped it out that way. It does not hinder the operation. I called customer service and they were prompt in doing right by my expectation.
