Very helpful level to have around during any home project. Used this most recently to renovate our bathroom. Used it to level tile, check for level corners of tub alcove, molding and stud alignment and so much more. Strong magnetic backing allows you to affix to most metal surfaces. Highly recommend and I think it is worth the investment.

The laser is very excellent and accurate. I found the measurer to be 3/16” off consistently

Brightness of laser is trash.

Bought and have used this Red one and the Green cross line laser as well, both units comped out after about a month of use. It barley turns on and when it does you don't know how long it will last. New batteries do not change much, even cleaned terminals and all recommended maintenance in the product guide to maintain it. Used to verify attic insulation install levels, used once a week maybe twice, so over usage is not an issue here. Bought this model to have ability to use AA batteries. Worked well for about 2-3 weeks then was totally unreliable. If you buy this do not use if you are going to rely on it for performance. Other then that the case is nice and the clamping system works well. Issue just with performance or lack there of.

The device is useless in sunlight, the laser is far too weak to be visible. The device gave two different readings for the same horizontal slab, and apparently has a huge tolerance built into it which also renders it useless for any serious leveling task.

High quality level. Easy to use. Disappointed it does not work outside during the day. Perhaps my ignorance (lasers and sunlight), but it needs to be significantly dark to see the laser even 30’ away.

Works like it should Only drawback is there is no locking mechanism to lock the movable part when it’s in its case so it may get damaged if it bounces around while in your truck?

I bought this a year ago and it stopped working after using it 3 times

This laser meets all my expectations for a tool at this price point. So far I've used it for rough framing layout (plumbing long studs and setting a uniform sill height on a sloped slab). I anticipate it will also be great for installing interior paneling for a renovation project I'm working on where the floors are a bit wavy due to the age of the house. This tool is also great for checking existing conditions to understand which elements aren't plumb or level. Used inside the laser is quite bright and visible. My only complaint is the red laser isn't super visible when used outside in the sunlight.
