Works just like it says. Like a dream upgraded from ryobi and couldn't be happier.

Assembly was easy and the saw works well. The only down side is the guard assembly was cracked .

I’ve had my eye on this saw for a long time, and recently pulled the trigger. Replaced my dangerous Ryobi one with this one. The blade was perfectly square, however, the fence needed adjustment. Use a quality speed square to true up the fence. It would be nice if DeWalt included a metric scale as opposed to using the antiquated imperial measurement system. For such a refined tool, it just doesn’t make sense. Anyway, HUGE improvement over my janky Ryobi.

Wanted to replace my RIGID table saw and did my homework before buying this one. I knew I would need to make some adjustments from shipping. However, when trying to align the blade to the miter slots (two screws on the back), the motor casing will not alignment properly even after pushing it over as far as it will go. After speaking with DEWALT, this is the one way to align the blade and hence, the saw WILL NEVER be square. I was told to return it to Home Depot.

This seems to be a very common problem. DeWalt - figure it out! Can I get a replacement in the mail?

I agree with others about the directions not being very helpful so I used some YouTube videos to assemble it. The frame is heavy and strong but takes up a lot of floor space once deployed. For a contractor it's rugged to move around and take abuse but for me, a hobby woodworker in a one car garage, it's a rather large footprint to deal with. The saw is a beast, very few adjustments but they are easy to do with plenty of power!

Two DWE7491RS in Eight Days - BOTH came in with damaged fences - The way the saw is packed there is NO protection from it being damaged in shipping. The second order, the box that the stand comes in had foot prints all over it. Had to return both saws for a refund. Don't know if I want to take a chance on a Third.

This was my first and last DeWalt tool purchase. I spent over an hour assembling and making sure everything was perfectly aligned. I discovered that the narrow fence did not come close to being 90°. Rather than return the 100 pound item, I reached out to customer support multiple times. Their response was that I should return it to the store. I assured them that I was not going to do that unless it was to return it so that I could buy a different brand saw. They persisted with ; “I should return it to the store.”Now, I understand that in shipping damage can happen or even Quality Control can miss something. However, when they expect me to put in extra time and effort for something, I spent $600 on, that is where I say, they clearly do not care about their customers. I’ll admit this saw could be a good item to own. However, I will be going back to Milwaukee, Bosch and Porter Cable with my money.

This saw has alot of power and i have not been disappointed with it.

Great saw. However, when I installed the riving knife on the saw, it did not line up with the blade, making it unusable. No way to adjust it. I tried to contact technical support, but I gave up because they make you go around in circle before you can get to where you need to be, taking too much of my time. They have no phone number to call. I’ll just live with the saw without using the riving knife.

Set up was easy if you follow a YouTube video. The directions will make you run your head into a wall. The stand seems to be well built and makes storage and maneuvering very easy. So far I’m very happy with this product. The negatives, it needs a place for blade storage. Secondly, it does come with a push stick but I feel it should also come with a push block. You can’t put a price on safety.

The first saw I purchased had a "twisted" fence, so I emailed DeWalt's support and still haven't received a response (about two weeks ago). I took the saw back to Home Depot and they easily swapped it for another. The fence on the second saw was only bowed slightly and I thought I could work around that. The blade was badly out of alignment and discovered a stray bolt under the throat plate (see picture). I guess it's just lucky it didn't fall into the blade while I was making my test cut. I have no idea if this is a stray part or some part of this saw, so I'm going to have to return this one too. I don't know why Home Depot continues to carry these products from companies with such terrible quality control.

This is my first Dewalt table saw, before I used Ridgid saws I work installing kitchen cabinets were I have to have good clean cut for my fillers. My last ridgid was not working right so I had to returned to the store I got my Dewalt new saw that works realy good Much better then my last saws Good clean cuts and is very strong saw I feel bad for all the years I worked no using the Dewalt saw

So, I've had my eye on this for a while now. I read all the reviews and watched all the vids. This is basically the best portable table saw on the market. I had high expectations for it especially because I am a bit of a Dewalt fan boy. I own most all of their tools. First, the instructions to put the stand together was horrible. It was very hard to follow along and all the pictures were zoomed in so closely that you couldn't tell what any of it was. I'm not upset about that, that's what YouTube is for right. Anyways, I finally get it all put together and I try to align the throat plate but the fabric dust guard inside the saw is pushing the front of the throat plate upward. I ended up having to use duct tape to basically act as a shim to force the throat plate down enough so that I'll actually be able to feed wood into the saw. So, while I have the straight edge out, I decide to check the flatness of the tabletop. I could see light under the whole middle section (where the blade is in-between the miter slots). I checked with feeler gauge. I can easily slide the 0.007 blade under. Also, the stick-on tape measure was peeling off. It was close to half off. I didn't take a picture of that and fixed it as soon as I saw it w/o thinking. Then the blade. After I actually squared it up, it was reading about 3-4* so I had to adjust that as well. Pretty disappointed in Dewalt here. At this price point I expect much better and I shouldn't have to fix any of this. I know I've said a lot of bad here but none of it was too big of a deal and all easy fixes except that gap in the whole middle panel. If it was much worse, then I would return it but 0.007, for what I'm going to be doing, isn't quite a deal breaker. Just a little disappointed in Dewalt here, for probable the first time ever. Besides all that, the saw is as good as I hoped. Plenty of power and just a great table saw.

The saw was easy to setup right out of the box. The scrolling stand went together quickly and even included all the tools needed to put it together. The saw was aligned properly and requires no adjustments. The fence needed a very small adjustment (0.005”) to make it parallel to the miter track. The onboard storage is really great not to mention clever. I bought the saw to fit in my small garage workshop but on the stand it folds up to fit nicely in the space I carved out between two shelves. I will start making sawdust today so hopefully it works as well as the experience I’ve had so far. Stay tuned.

I bought this saw for two main reasons. The fence is buttery smooth, and the stand makes it easy to store. When assembling the unit, however, I found the saw mounting holes, and the corresponding holes in the saw stand were not aligned. I had to drill additional holes in the saw stand in order to mount it onto its own manufacturer's stand. While this was not an issue for me, this could pose problems for some end users and would be easily fixed had DeWalt taken more effort in quality control.

I expected more from a $600 saw. You can see below the wheel is not formed properly ,has a large wobble making moving it around difficult. A lot of plastic parts. This replaced my 30 year old cast iron table saw . Starting a big project today and will find out if it performs I searched but could not find a saw built with the same quality as my 30 year old. I am a big Dewalt fan. I own their sliding compound miter saw and stand along with numerous cordless and corded tools. This is a letdown

This saw is excellent quality for a jobsite saw. The instructions are a bit lacking but overall not too complex. The biggest complaint after using the saw for a few weeks is the surface of the saw scratches very easily and already has marks all over it. However, this is expected of an aluminum top. The onboard storage for the various attachments is very handy and being able to fold up the saw when not in use is very convenient. The miter gauge is very 'sloppy' for woodworking (but a piece of blue painters tape on the rail helps a lot; until I upgrade to a new miter gauge). The fence is really good. It glides smoothly and the rip capacity is plentiful. It was a little out of square initially, but was easy to fix. The saw blade was a perfect 90 degrees. The quick change of the riving knife and dust hood is great and being able to use a DADO stack is useful too. Overall, a very nice saw upgrade for my small basement workshop. I hope to get years of use out of this saw.

Professional grade table saw, great quality. I built it into my rolling workbench and couldn't be happier with this saw.

I purchased a new DEWALT 7491RS because I loved my previous DEWALT DW745. When it died an untimely death, I found that DEWALT was not longer making those. So, I researched and found rave reviews of the DEWALT 7491RS. The first 7491RS I brought home had an issue where the arbor nut would come loose on its own and the saw blade would be spinning freely. So not good. It was in the first 90 days, so I returned it and brought home another DEWALT 7491RS because I thought it was just a fluke, right? DEWALT has great tools. The second one did the same thing within two weeks of purchase. I returned this one as well. Since the reviews of the saw are so good, I went to a different retailer to purchase one thinking maybe the first retailer got a bad manufacturing run of these. So far, the arbor nut is holding. Let me clarify that I am a professional woodworker and no stranger to power tools. I have had multiple table saws over the years, and I have never had such problems before. We shall see if this third one is the charm.

I'm a pretty basic hobbyist, still learning. This saw has been a terrific addition to my limited workshop space. Assembly instructions weren't great, but having small bags of parts for respective operations was helpful. It took me about 45 minutes to set it up and get it fully operational. The blade was mostly true out of the box, requiring a small adjustment. The fence was dead on, and I love the ease of the rack and pinion system. YouTube also has plenty of setup videos if you get stuck. I have seen comments about the table surface not being flat, and I was concerned about that. However, after checking the surface with a variety of levels and squares, I didn't find any deviations from flatness. The blade that came with the saw is okay. I swapped it out for a Diablo 60 TPI, and it rips and cuts beautifully. I like most of the accessory storage on the frame (the blade guard storage is pretty iffy), appreciate the solid metal roll-bar frame, and have found it to be rock steady for cuts. Foldup and transport is easy. I just need a better sawdust management system now! The dust port beneath the blade is too large for my shopvac adapter. Overall, a terrific saw.

The power of this portable table saw is impressive. I've used other saws and when you go portable, you drop a few notches of power and quality - not this saw! It can take a beating, do great work and then easy to put away. Perfect for my needs. We bought a couple of them and they are running great!

Good saw transports easily from job to job

I love tools and this was a great addition to my collection. I have already used it a few time and I love it! It's precise, it's easy to change the adjustments and it's so easy to set up and then put away once I'm done. I would buy it again in a heartbeat!... I just regret not having bought it earlier :)

After owning large and small table saws this one is a beautiful mix. It has the power and size I need, but can quickly get folded up for less space. I can checked it out when I first got it and only made one minor adjustment...everything else was dead one. I haven't had to readjust or second guess if my saw was true like my other one that made me saw things that made our neighbors blushed! I can do anything with this saw and know it will come out great! #1 Tip just use a quality blade and the saw will perform like a race horse!

Easy assembly. Easy to use. Arrived earlier than stated. No damages to product upon arrival. Amazing table saw and couldn’t be more pleased. Solid DeWalt product. No Ragrets... not even a letter.

I'm a huge Dewalt fan, my work truck has nearly all yellow tools. But this saw is driving me! I've had this saw for a while now with no issues, until the cheap plastic fence lock broke. It's seem to be near impossible it find a replacement part, without buying a new saw!!

This product was purchased for my son's birthday. He is working in construction and borrowed a DeWalt portable saw from a friend. He loved it so much that he told me. He had been looking for a table saw for some time and actually wanted a Bosch. After using his friends DeWalt, he was so impressed that he wanted one just like it. We purchased for him and he has used his own for the first time and LOVES IT. I am happy that I purchased the best portable saw available. I am so happy we could get one when they are scarce to get now.
