Not the same
The new formula for the Weldwood Contact cement is an extremely poor excuse for an adhesive. The milky white paste spread on thin and clear. After waiting the recommended time there was no tackiness to the surface. Another coat and the recommended wait time with the same results. I decided to go ahead without but the lack of adhesion ruined my project. Go back to the old formula DAP!

Terrible Product
This product does not work. I was looking to replace a water based weldwood that I had used in the past (blue label) that worked very well and bought this stuff.. I applied to both surfaces as directed, waited for the stuff to dry to a glossy, tacky surface, joined the two surfaces together and... nothing! absolutely no adhesion... really? I re-read the directions, figured maybe i let the stuff dry too long, tried again.. No! I spent the rest of the day scraping, peeling and sanding the material off the projects I had begun using it on.. if you are looking for a good contact cement do not buy this stuff!

Great for art projects.
Works great for very large scale papier-mâché projects as long as the humidity is not too high. Too much and it delaminates cardboard. I buy 4 gallons at a time. HD has it for the best price I have found.

Does not work
Very poor tack, not at all like contact cement. Clamping will get the pieces to stick but they delaminated within a couple months. What were they thinking when they released this product?

Do not use this product. I wish I would have read the other reviews.
Followed the directions to the T and it would not stick. I did it in my home with the AC set at 77 to ensure the proper conditions. I attempted to re-apply to see if it would re-activate and waited another 45 min with the same results. Scrapped a $100 sheet of Formica and now I need to figure out how to get this junk off my project so I can use a good product.

Worst product ever. No adhesion.
Worst product ever. I have used contact cement dozens of times over the years without any problem. I guess this "new formula" is the source of the problem, but after applying the cement to a laminate and substrate and waiting 30 minutes there was no adhesion when I put the two halfs together. NOT EVEN MILD adhesion. You could slide the two surfaces on each other as if there was no glue applied.
DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! I can not believe that Home Depot is still selling this since it has a 100% failure.

Literally no adhesion.
I had to write a review to also relate my horrible experience with this worthless product. I'm a frequent woodworker who has used contact cement many times and was trying to adhere veneer to some cabinet doors. After doing the recommended surface prep, applying the product to both surfaces and waiting the suggested 30-40 minutes I was shocked to find that there was literally no adhesion between the cemented surfaces when applying the veneer. It was dry and tacky to the touch but the cemented surfaces did not adhere. Thank you Home Depot for refunding my money but I didn't recover the time wasted and had to go to another supplier to find the original formula which worked, as usual, just fine.

NOT HAPPY
DID NOT STICK ON CONTACT. I HAD TO USE A HEAT GUN AND GET ON TOP OF THE COUNTER TOP WITH A ROLLER AND ROLE IT WITH ALL MY BODY WAIGHT TO MAKE IT STICK. I GOT IT BUT HAD TO WORK WAY TO HARD FOR IT!!! I WILL USE THE OLD SCHOOL STUFF NEXT TIME!!!

"environment frendly materials" always come with perfonmence issues.
NON-FLAMABLE CONTACT CEMENT does not fit the standards of a high quality product. It has a different texture and color than the ORIGINAL CONTACT CEMENT. Perhaps can be employed on projects or items that do not require durability, But if you are looking for a product that match your long lasting professional work N-FCC is not the one. Go for the ORIGINAL if still available.

Better than expected
I had not done laminating for quite a while and this material did an unexpected job. It took less than expected to do the job and so far it appears to have the required strength.

WORST CONTACT CEMENT EVER!!!
Very poor product. Only works within extreme high working temperatures like plus 85 degrees. Who works in conditions like that. And even at that, its holding power is not what you would expect from contact cement. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!

Excellent for our purpose.
We make Custom, high end furniture. We have to use common carriers to ship our work, and were experiencing unacceptable levels of damage. We began constructing multi-layer, thick cardboard boxes using this glue. We usually build boxes 4-6 layers thick, with the edges and corners even thicker.
Our customers love the safety, and complain that it takes them hours to unpack a bed or dresser. This really works well, and we don't have to breathe the fumes associated with solvent based contact cements. We use a small 2" disposable paint brush to apply.

Float Building
We use this product as one of the steps in building our parade floats. The product is the only one we have found that gives us the finished results that we want and need.
