The gasket is not a perfect fit. The drain plate does not make a perfect fit with the gasket, leaving some of the gasket visible. Perhaps the gasket will fit better on other bath tubs, but it is certainly not a universal part.

Just what I needed and easy to install

Works as expected. A cheap and easy fix to DIY. Can be tricky to position so that it completely fills gap between hole in tub and overflow pipe. Rotate it so that its thickest point aligns with widest part of gap. Then test by having someone splash water on overflow plate. Adjust as needed.

Wasn't sure which type to buy, this was the only one available at Home Depot. Turned out perfect. The old gaskets in our tubs had turned completely hard, some crumbling. The plumber had even just put a bunch of putty on top of one of the old gaskets which is not a good solution - it still left gaps. I used a tool to push the new gasket into tight spots, and had to push the pipe away to get the gasket around some nubbies on the pipe end, really happy to have found this product! It's not meant to last forever - it's a strange squishy material - so I'll check every few years to see that it's still doing its job.

we had a bathtub that had an incorrectly installed overflow gasket, upon inspection, we ordered this to replace the old one. It seems to be the standard size, although the construction is a little bit different than our original gasket, it slid onto the overflow opening slot and then you use bolts to tighten the overflow cover against the bathtub to make a tight seal. it was a little hard to get the gasket to stay on the slot, especially if you have larger hands, but with a little wiggle and some lubricant (i used some soap) i was able to slip it onto the slot. all and all, well worth the 2 bucks that fixed years of leakage.
