worked well but is one sided

I was unsure what to expect. I intended to build a set of small drawers and a case for them. Material seems to be a sandwich of honduran mahogany & birch veneers, sawdust & glue, 0.21” thick. It is fairly stronger than I expected, but doesn’t take kindly to making sharp cornered dovetails.

This warped a little from the humidity change, but is thin enough it flexes back into position. My special order showed up very well crated. Bonding on the veneer is good, slight tearout on the panel saw with an old blade and almost no tearout on the table saw. Occasional seams in the veneer.

Overall a very good quality product. Attractive veneer and nice clean edges.

I ordered this 1/4" 2x8 mahogany plywood to use as a door panel in some closet doors to match the existing doors assuming that it was an a/b product (as the description indicated) however upon receipt i fount it to have a very nice mahogany face and a very passable birch veneer on the back side. That would be fine if it were indicated anywhere in the description.

They cut my project panel exactly the size I ordered at no additional cost.It was great this was done for me since I didn’t have the tools to do this It stained well and looks great on my antique vanity.

It is a fine quality veneer plywood and totally was up to expectations. As soon as I got it contained in a protective box I was pleased because it arrived unmarred and in good condition. Good stuff.

Cut to requested size, shipped quickly, securely packed.

Seams in veneer were very prominent.

Keep in mind that the veneer on these pieces is made up of several "book matched" sections of wood that vary in grain and coloring. If you are looking for a piece that is mostly the same wood grain and color, this may not be the panel for you. If you like the variation, you will be pleased. The piece I received was in good condition and packaged well with no warping or dings.

The packaging was in great shape but the contents damaged. It had to have shipped that way. The material quality is not what I had expected much less hoped it would be. The construction is two very thin veneers over a relatively thick filler wood. The mahogany is not a single veneer but three separate sections with seams. This means a lot of waste to avoid seams in my small project but that would mean I don't have enough material. This added to the bashed corner, it looks like I will need plan B.

I originally tried to purchase a similar piece at the Miami Franjo Road location. However; the HD assistant did a terrible job by cutting many pieces and damaging the ends. I decided to try the online custom cut. I received immediate confirmation/clarification on my order and received the custom cut plywood a few days later. The cut ends were smooth as silk. I would highly recommend getting the online custom cut versus buying in the store.

For the price I was expecting much rougher wood. This is very smooth on both sides and every edge is smooth and square. I will be making great looking cabinets and drawers with this and will be back for more!!

Pleasantly surprised. Quality of the veneer was good and no damage to panels from shipping and handling.

Panel had quarter and dime sized voids.

The plywood arrived in good shape by the date promised. The veneer was intact, no blemishes. The edges of the board were ding-free.

The plywood came in a very sturdy box with no shipping damage. The mahogany veneer was very well done with no flaws. My only complaint is the fact that the sheets were a bit curved. I would have liked them flat but was able to use them non the less in the project I was building. Next time I might try the thicker version in hopes the distortion will be less.
