This is a very nice high quality board with a very nice finish in white!

Replaced outdated wire shelving perfectly.

What I expect from a ClosetMaid shelf. Good enough quality for my closet without spending a fortune.

The shelf was fine, however the gentleman who cut it for me was outstanding

It's just a laminated board. Honestly, how much of a fail could it be. It just sits there. One thing to note is that you can paint it. It will take two coats though.

Just what I ordered and pleasant driver

This is particle wood covered with the thinnest plastic shelve paper possible, not laminate. Could not remove labels without destroying finish. When you remove the labels on the shelve, they pull off the white material covering the particle board. You can rub through the white finish off with your finger tip, its that thin. They should have the label maker spec the covering since it much more durable. Returned because of poor quality.

Works fine as a shelf in a 48-inch opening. The rough ends make it somewhat unseemly for an 'open' use. The finish is utilitarian, so be careful putting sharp objects on it. All-in-all if you're looking for a finished 4-ft closet shelf, this is what +/- $25 will get you.

Not finished on edges, other brands are. Difficult to find one in store that is not dinged up

A cutting service was provided and the HD employee cut every board to the wrong length. The price was also high compared to other options.

Incomplete inventory or advice. I want to increase the number of shelves in my closet but the only way I see is to buy a larger board and cut it down to size

They usually have a small defect of some kind that you have to hide and you have to search through the inventory to find the best one. The label requires a razor blade scrapper to get off cleanly. Otherwise, they work with the closet system fairly well.
