Overall, the product is fine - it's laminated wood in a size that allows me to make several shelves from a single piece. In my case, I was converting a closet hanging area into three shelves. My issue with this product is the same issue I have with all ClosetMaid products, and the reason I avoid their products as much as possible: the labels they place on EVERYTHING are virtually impossible to remove. The label on this piece is about the size of a standard sheet of paper and I spent roughly 15 minutes trying to get it off cleanly before giving up. It only took me five minutes to cut the shelves but I couldn't cleanly remove a label in fifteen minutes? The same issue applies to their wire shelves, shelf supports, wall tracks, etc. I avoid their well-made products because of their insane labels.

Good quality easy to use

The pkg cam damaged on both ends but luckly we were cutting those ends off anyways. Otherwise nice shelf.

It’s a shelf, nicely finished and as advertised. Worked great!

I received them, but when I opened them in their individual boxes a lot of the corners were broken from oversized box and no packing material.

Product is well made and package is good

The paint job on the shelf is too light, almost transparent. For the price, it could use a second coat of paint.

heavy duty version works great , had more metal to support can goods in pantry.

Good quality -easy to trim

The Rubbermaid shelves are much higher quality than the ClosetMaid. I needed a 14” D shelf (for longer brackets I already had) to go with 12” D shelves above. The new Rubbermaid shelves are 12”D and are finished on all sides. The ClosetMaid shelves are not wrapped on all edges and this is not clear in the description. Also, the ClosetMaid shelf was crushed on one of the edges. I used the Home Depot pickup service and didn’t notice the crushed corner until I got home. So then I ordered new 12” brackets (got rid of the old 14” brackets) and bought another 12” Rubbermaid shelf. All done, but if I had known that the ClosetMaid shelves were lower quality I would not have wasted my time and money. Maybe Rubbermaid has a 14”D x 48”L shelf, but I didn’t see it offered at Home Depot.

Nice spongee material, but the adhesive would not stick to a clean metal surface at all. We had to buy double sided tape to get it to stay in place.

It was to come with white bars but came with Silver. Not sure what I am going to do because I wanted to match what was in the closet

Happy with the shelf. Had to cut it to 34.5 inches. Wish there was a 36 inch shelf.

No issues; quality was excellent.

Use for cupboard shelves and worked very well. Able to hold heavy items with no bowing.

Fairly expensive compared to the other sizes, but it fit my needs. The ends of shelves were a bit beat up and tattered, but not much of an issue for its use.

If this was a wall-mounted shelf it would have finished ends, not raw particle board. The exposed particle board ends also have cavities, so they look even worse than if they were simply unfinished. The other home supply store has the same item with finished ends for 20% less.
