Durability problems
These units are more expensive but I figured they'd last. I bought a unit and the range was great, instalation was easy, but the battery life on an average driveway was no where near 2 years, maybe 6 months of light driveway use (about 4 activations a day). But I could get past that if it was durable. Unfortunately it hasn't been. Lately it beeps to indicate low battery with a few weeks of getting fresh Duracell Procell batteries. I changed them out and same problem. Went to change them this time and now it won't even turn back on with brand new batteries. Sounds like an electrical problem to me. I was disappointed by the durability. Had it lasted I would have expanded from 3 sensors to 6 or 7 for the farm, but can't trust them now. I was also looking at driveway gate openers but will have to do more research to see if durability is a problem with those chamberlain products too.

Works for a while then garbage
Had this unit installed for about 12 months. Worked okay and then suddenly stopped working. We have new batteries and have reprogrammed. LEDs light up, base unit beeps when you push the learn button, but no alert when sensor is triggered. Tried two different sensors. No good. Don't waste your money on this. Buy from a manufacturer that has a longer warranty and perhaps buy the extended warranty protection offered by Amzon, etc.

      Great Value
With a farm-gate business, I needed some means of knowing when a customer was coming in the driveway to purchase the products we produce on our small farm. This wireless motion alert was exactly what I needed and it as worked flawlessly for the past two years.

        Driveway Monitor
Does work but only for 10 to 12 ft range. In my driveway it will do as long as autos stay on asphalt. Must be in line with receiver tree or brush will block signal. mounting plastic plate with 4 small holes not easy to fasten to a tree. I had to make my own bracket to work.

          WORKS WELL BUT ONE FLAW
I HAVE 5 SENSORS BUT ONE BROKE AND I REPLACED IT. THERE WAS NO WAY TO PROGRAM THE NEW SENSOR WITH THE SAME SIGNAL AS THE ORIGINAL

Not good if you have high pitch hearing loss
I received this as a B-day gift and just installed it. Instructions are clear and install went well. I have some high pitch hearing loss and the alert is difficult to hear. Would be better if the sound was a door bell type beep or had different sounds to select.

              Great product.....The best
Purchased original version years ago with never a failure. Using two stations that have been in place for over 4 years without changing batteries. Just got new version to extend coverage. Also took one station and put it in my mailbox 1000 feet from the house. Works fantastic! Chamberlain should develop a separate mailbox alarm.

Needs a blinking LED with reset
The devise works great, as long as I'm within 20/30 feet of the alarm or even in the house. However, it only beeps once. ..which is fine. However, a circuit mod is needed for a simple led that blinks when alarm goes off, and continues to blink until reset. It is always easy to check the led occasionally to see if it went off. I use the system to monitor if the mailman placed an item in the box (which is about 150 feet away. This way, you may not hear the alarm, but at least you know that it went off.

                  The alert volume
The alert volume is woefully inadequate to the point of making the system I bought plus extra sensor useless. They seem to sense things I want but if you do not hear alert what good is it.

                    great product
I use this as a door alarm for my 89 year old mother. I have found it reliable and easy to install and maintain.

No where does it say what this unit does not connect with the RWA300R base except in small light gray font on the CWPIR box. Chamberlain needs to put this in their advertisements. I'm sure it works well with the newer base but DOES NOT CONNECT to the RWA300R base.

Bought 3 and can barely hear the alert. I don't know what can be done to improve alarm strength. If you can't hear the alarm it's not much good

                          Can't hear it
Tone is high pitched and no way to change tone or add external speaker. If you have Tinnitus, you can barely hear it. So in my opinion it is worthless & not cheap junk. Only explanation I got was we are sorry.

                            Not working prop
It's supposed to have a 30ft max range this one only has 5 ft if that. I tried moving the switchs according to directions and it does change the sensitivity but not the range

                              Good customer service
Owned older version. When I bought new version, I was disappointed in the removal of one key feature. The feature was a connector to close contacts. If you had a alarm system we could set it off. No more. Now you have to rely on the sound of the unit. Customer service apologized and sent me another unit in case it had been faulty. The sensors do work and are infrared.

                                Wireless Motion Alert System
the add sensor is very good and the battery life is also very good the only thing is that some times th device goes to sleep and it does not warn you about intrusion also another thing is that the opening were the sensor is recessed some spiders make a nest there needs to have a glass window built in to avoid spiders from building a nest.

IF YOU USE MORE THAN ONE WITH THE BASE UNIT, IT IS A LOT OF WORK TO GET THEM IN NOTICE ORDER, SO YOU CAN TELL WHICH AREA HAS MOVEMENT.

                                Bad sensor?
I just bought one of these. I have it set on maximum sensitivity and pointed at my walk-in door to my garage inside. I can walk right up to it without it going off. I make a right angle to it at that point and it goes off. Probably going to return it.

                                  Armadillo Detection in Yard
I live in rural southeast Georgia and have a bad situation with armadillos tearing up my grass in search of grubs. I bought the Chamberlain motion alert system and have had much success detecting these destructive critters in the wee hours of the morning. I mounted the sensor(s) on a flat metal stake about 1 foot off the ground in front of locations where they are digging (I call them "hotspots"). When the alarm goes off at night, I get up, grab flashlight and .22 rifle with red laser sight and take care of business. Its a very effective way of controlling our armadillo population.

                                    Dont waste your money
On the high sensitivity selection it may or may not sense movement at 10 or less feet. on the low sensitivity selection it will not detect movement at all unless you wave your hand directly in front of the sensor and then it is part time. I wasted my money and bought 3 and they all work the same way so it is not just one not working right. all 3 work the same way, or should I say don't work.

                                      Older Ones lasted longer
I've owned six of these at two houses. The first (1994 I think) was still working when I sold the house in 2005. Next one lasted six years and the third lasted three. Fourth lasted two years and the last one less than six months. # 4 and #5 got wet inside from wind driven rain (Thunderstorms), # 6 was just installed and I'm going to seal around the antenna wire with RTV and see if that will keep it dry inside. Only differences I've noticed over the years is the color of the outdoor unit (from green to tan) and the indoor unit is now more compact. Oh yeah, the older ones lasted longer too!

                                        Continuous Alarms
I have used these products for many years . This year I ordered a new base and one sensor. The base linked up with my original sensors and with the new sensor however the new sensor gives continuous alarms. I had to remove it from its location and place one of my old sensors in its place.

If I push the volume button it will pick up the next car, If I don't it will not pick up anything, I would not recommend.

                                            Not loud enough, not reliable
Despite having the volume turned to max, unless you have the speaker facing almost directly at you, it can't be heard. We want if for a driveway sensor and if we are in another room, cannot hear it. Also, even using it around in the house, at times it doesn't activate. Would like to return it for refund.

                                              Wireless Motion
Just received the CWA200 & CWA2000C. Have followed instructions and tested the units. Everything looks to be working as stated in the adds. After reading the instructions I may have a problem with direct sun light. My home faces west and I have a lot of direct sun light. Time will tell. One other thing, there is a Blue LED on the power supply for the receiver that is very very very bright. The only fix that I see for the LED is to cover it with tape...

                                                  False Positives
I purchased the base+sensor, plus 3 more sensors. I was hoping that I could set them up along my long driveway to know if someone was approaching or if someone were in front of the garage which is not visible from indoors. I set up 2 sensors in the evening and all seemed well. At noon the next day, the sensors were continuously alerting, so I moved them. It was better for a while but then the continuous alarm started up again until I shut off the base. It seems that they are picking up signals from my gravel drive or grass or something when the sun hits. I did not experiment to find the farthest distance, but I confirmed that they will transmit at least 1/4 mile without perfect conditions, so that is comforting. I found that if I drive my side-by-side UTV (like an ATV) past the sensor at 15 mph, the sensor does not report. I will see if the lower sensitivity setting helps my false positives, otherwise I don't know what to do. I wish there were a different sensor option that would detect vehicles with metal so I did not have to depend on motion for some sensors, and could put those alongside or under the driveway.

                                                    Driveway Monitoring
I have purchase the Driveway monitoring system with sensor plus added 3 additional sensors. I've found that I can be 10 ft away from any unit and if I move very slowly, I can get past the sensor without tripping the unit. After the unit trips once, it will not trip again for at lease 60 seconds. If one were to move very quickly through the monitoring area, the sensor doesn't trigger. I've been able to cross the path of the sensor in about 25 feet with normal walking speed and not trigger the sensors. Would be nice to have a third switch to select reset time to be fast or slow for re-trigger speed along with another for super sensitive and or a better processor to better identify IR from non to even the beginning of some instead of waiting till the one reaches the other side of the sensor before a trigger. Maybe you went too far the other way to reduce the false positives.
