A remodel in our kitchen called for an updated, stylish, and hard working exhaust fan. The call was answered with this Broan Elite range hood. I am hearing impaired but my spouse is not. My spouse says any speed other than low is loud but it could be because our kitchen is almost empty and it echoes. It takes the steam and heat out as implied and puts out more light than expected making cooking less of a hassle because one can see all aspects of the food. Our white range hood is just that, white. It's not brilliant white, nor linen white. Just a perfect white. Goes well with the white range, refrigerator, and dishwasher we have replaced. We are pleased.

Could not figure out what the red light on the front was for; called Broan it is merely decorative and u can barely see it, but it does light. Has nothing to do with the function of hood range. Performance excellent, we sear a lot of food and my house wasn't filled with the smoky smell of food after cooking.

This fan is super quiet and looks great. The filter is very easy to pop out and clean as well. And as usual Home Depot has great customer service.

Great product. Good exhaust draw- works well with our gas stove. Lights are mounted below the lower surface so there is some glare, but grill top is very well illuminated. Easy to remove filter. Very nice finish, matches perfect with our black stove. Poor installation instructions, not enough detail. Hood is easy to mount once mounting bracket is up. Flexible 5" ducting makes installation easier, chimney trim adjusts for different ceiling heights, but could use some additional mounting brackets. Excellent once it's up!

I love the fact it can be vented or unvented. My husband had some difficulty installing it, like some men, he didn't read the instructions. If you follow the instructions you won't have a problem.

LOve this piece in my kitchen.. it makes it.. we recently redid our kitchen but was glad we add this.

We remodeled our kitchen and that is the only reliable installation that was made. I love it! I love the style, quietness of the motor, the exhaust, the brightness of the lights. I just absolutely love it and would recommend it for anyone looking to change their kitchen. And.....it's pretty, too!

I am very pleased with this range hood. It fits my kitchen perfectly. A range hood that attaches to upper kitchen cabinets is nothing but a waste of space. But there was a few rivets that cam undone upon arrival. Could be from shipping?

looks sleek, love the light on my stove, installment went well. Its quiet at the lower speeds, but a bit more noise that I wanted at full speed. (it was supposed to be super quiet) I have no idea how to rate energy efficiency. It works well drawing out doers - including the paint fumes after I repaired and repainted the wall behind it after installation!

I would have rated this product higher if it had been assembled before it was sold as a complete unit. The product inspector (if there was one) and the packer ignored that the main bracket which positions the fan and motor and also serves as the mount was not attached to the hood - no rivets, no screws, no bolts, nothing ! If you decide to purchase this product and discover the same issue, rivets are your solution.

We completely re-did our kitchen. This is exactly the look I was going for and though it is price, it is worth it. BUT, I am having a hard time finding a replacement bulb for the lights. I have looked at Home Depot,Lowes and a specialty bulb shop with no luck. That is actually why I got on the site today to look it up online. Hopefully I will find one. Other than that this hood is awesome!!

We've been basically happy with this unit, though we've only used it for 1 month--can't really speak to durability. Installation is not trivial, but they've thought things out pretty well to give you the best chance of achieving a level/plumb install. Lights, while they give good coverage for the cooksurface, are slightly blinding. Having them covered so the shine only down, and not back into your eyes would be an improvement. Noise level at the lower settings is fine.

Didn't install it myself, so that was real easy (have your contractor do the install). Does a wonderful job of smoke and odor removal under normal circumstances. If you flambe (on purpose or inadvertently) you can overwhelm the unit and still get the smoke detector to have a fit. Lighting is great. Cleaning the filter is easy; it can be rinsed in the sink with hot water. The stainless steel and the shape on the wall really accents that wall in the kitchen.

Some people like their sweatshirt hoodie. Broan makes mine.

I wasnt sure about this brand and i was told by a sale representative that this product is the best of all. I decided to buy it at the same time i was worried what if that happens something wrong. After almost one year, i love this due to beautiful design and running so very well which it has no problem even not a bit.

My contractor just installed hood today. He had a bit of a hard time probably due to the fact that my ceilings are not quite 8' however it does look beautiful. My only compliant is that the controls for the light and fan are a bit plastic. Love the fact that I can purchase this item over internet and return it with no problem at home depot.

I've not yet had much time to use our new hood. At this point I really don't have any issue with it. The only problem we encountered was with the installation. I don't think my installer knew what he was doing and scratched the heck out of hood. I would recommend having someone put it in that knows how to install hoods. It's very quiet and seems to have a lot of power. It's a bit more delicate looking than some other hoods out there, meaning not as hard lines and edges. All in all I'm happy with it and would recommend it.

We needed a white hood to match our white range and there was no upper cabinet on which to mount an over-the-range microwave; so this fit the bill perfectly. The installation instructions looked clear enough until it came time to mount the hood on the wall. We then found that the location of the plug-in that was specified turned out to be precisely behind the plenum which, once plugged in, would hold the chimney and fan unit off the wall--not good. Once we solved that problem and got it up, it has clean lines and looks lovely; performs well with a powerful fan and excellent lighting.

When shopping for hoods I was faced with a plethora of options. Many were very expensive. The Broan hood was exactly what we needed.

Attractive and well designed. Easy to install. Does a very good job but is a little loud.
