Worked like a charm to clear our bathtub drain fast and with no chemicals.

This is a no-frills pipe snake that works well if you are gentle with it. My advice: 1) Feed it slowly as you turn the handle counterclockwise in 1-foot lengths, using the thumbscrew to lock the line (turning counterclockwise will avoid snagging on the pipe wall). 2) Once you reach the clog, begin turning the handle clockwise as you feed it slowly forward. The loose coil at the front will now engage the clog. If the line begins to fold or coil, retract it a few inches and then slowly feed it forward again. 3) Continue feeding it forward until the clog is cleared, then slowly remove the line and manually re-insert it into the housing. 4) When you are done, extend and rinse the entire line with water, then leave it out to dry completely, or it will rust.

It's very easy to use and no hassle. Good product even price vise.

The rotary snake served it's purpose because head was small enough to get in my bathroom drain.

Used this to unclog an AC drain line and it did the job but had trouble with the end falling off. Other then that it was easy to use.

This auger was not sturdy enough to get through a clog which was less than 15 ft from the entrance. It started twisting in the pipe and ended up getting bent and ruined before it got through. A total waste of $28 and another $140 when I had to get a plumber out.

I used this on a small clog in my mother in laws house. It worked GREAT! Simple but effective!!

the auger was great. and i more recently purchased items including pvc and tools to use to fix my air conditionier. the pvc cutter is wonderful- i do not need strong hands to use it. THE BEST THING ABOUT HOME DEPOT: THE MEN IN THE PLUMBING DEPARTMENT ARE AWESOME - THEY WERE SO HELPFUL. THEY GAVE ME TIPS ON HOW TO DO MY REPAIRS AND HELPED ME PICK OUT THE VERY BEST PRODUCTS WITH THE BEST PRICES SO THAT I COULD FIX MY HVAC INSTEAD OF HAVING TO PAY BIG BUCKS TO GET IT FIXED. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THE NAME OF THEIR GAME AND THEY DO IT WELL. I am a female who tries to fix anything broken in her home. Having knowledgable, helpful customer service when i shop for the items i need is very important.

Simple to use. Cleared drain on second attempt. Was a no mess solution.

I was able to use this to clear a clogged washer drainpipe and it worked great!

it work perfect no complains. It can be a lit more flexible for curves or elbows.

I had this sent to my son in San Francisco. I suggested he watch a YouTube video of how to use it and he reported that "it worked"!!!!

It worked as expected. Cleared a nasty hairball a couple of feet into the wall. Although I knew I wouldn't need a longer 20' snake, I wish I had bought the next model up with the pistol grip and thumb lock. Would have been easier to operate. As is, a little bit of effort saved cost of a drain cleaning service

First use pulled out 2' long hair snake from shower drain. Product works. Don't think you need to spend more for units with side handle. The only challenge was removing the hairball from the snake tool.

The drum auger performed just as it was meant to, I'm very happy with the product

Great product to have for emergencies. Kitchen sink was clogged and used to clear out junk. Also worked really well to get hair out of bathroom tub...I'm surprised my daughter still has hair.

Good product for small piping. Don't plan on snaking out more than 8 feet, as the smaller diameter will just begin to coil in and around the pipe. Would assume you can push a thicker diameter cable farther. For me this did the job.

I had been suffering from a very slow drain for months. Drano and coat hangers didn't do the trick. Rather than going to the expense ($$$) of getting a plumper, I wanted to try a cheap auger. I purchased this one and was pleased with the price, construction and quality. Given that this auger would only be used rarely (i.e. once you hope), then price and quality were relative. Instructions were easy to follow as I unhooked the under sink trap, inserted the auger line and proceeded to feed line and turn the handle. The auger worked clearing my drain of a mat of hair and other material. Drain is now free flowing and I couldn't be happier with the auger.

Tried more then once to open a clogged line from my trailer to the suptic. It's a short run , with this auger I was able to snake it in. The end has a hooked end and that did the trick. The handle on the auger made it easy to use, the cable was small and worked its way in easily.

I think for the price it is hard to beat. Would definitely work on bath sink issues, but we had a clog in the kitchen sink that was too far down in the main pipes for even a 15-ft auger. The handle system was a little clumsy for feeding all the way into any s-curves, but again for the price you'll be hard pressed to come up with an equally effective solution.

Works great if you know how: slow and easy works best, pushing too hard or too fast could make the cable kink. I bought the one that lets you connect a drill but I didn't even use that feature 'cuz you need to turn it SLOWLY and the hand crank works just fine for that. But buy the one that has the thumb control at the front instead of a set-screw.

Larger auger would not work. This was the right size for the 90 in the wall

love the drum design. use as much or as little of the cable as you need. just be sure to tighten the thumbscrew before trying to pull!
