WOW!
I have used a PC for over 10 years and tried to replace with the latest model. First one was terrible. Grabbed the work frequently, left scratches. Replace with another and it did the same. Finally got wise and bought the Bosch and I found I was missing easy to control, very low vibration and perfect sanding. I even tried the same sanding disc as on the PC and the Bosch still ran perfectly. I really like the sawdust control. Very small amount not collected, and am not using the dust mask with it. Really simple to clean the collected dust by unscrewing the cap end and tapping gently on the edge of waste container, screw back into housing. I never really liked sanding, but it is a pleasant task that gives beautiful results. Recommend this sander? Absolutely!

    Lives up to manufacturers claims
Impressed with the dust collection, especially with just the canister.  Quite smooth to operate and its easy to change speeds while the trigger is locked on and the sander is running.

      Highly Recommended
I bought this sander based on the very positive reviews on various sites, and after testing another Bosch ROS from a friend, which I found to be too aggressive and difficult to control. The 65VEC-6 is very easy to control, even with just one hand, has almost no vibration, and the dust collection canister is amazingly effective. Many folks hook up their ROS directly to a vacuum; I don't plan to do that with this sander. Best of all, the 65VEC-6 sands very thoroughly and uniformly, and I can't see any swirl marks afterwards. The surface appears more uniform than what I can produce by hand, which seems remarkable compared to prior sanders. I really like this sander and highly recommend it for anyone looking for an easy to use ROS with excellent dust collection that also has almost no vibration. I don't know what Bosch can do to improve on this one.

        Light weight and low vibration.
I've owned several different brands of palm sanders, and this Bosch ROS65VC-6 is the best yet.

          Say goodbye to tingling hands
Bottom Line:  Once you use the ROS65VC you will never go back to the vibrating sanders.  The dust collection is excellent also.

expensive but a very high quality tool
Very nice tool which is truly vibration free (or only minimal vibration) and the dust collection system is absolutely superb - better than having a dedicated vacuum attachment to the too. You have to use the Bosch "6-hole" pads to take advantage of the superb dust collection capability - I could only find these at Amazon - of course Home Depot doesn't carry them - instead offering some cheap alternative that doesn't work nearly as well. Oh well - Amazon comes through (again). I would but this tool again - but please note that this thing is NOT a finish sander - to get that fine finish you are going to have to go to a pad sander. But if you want to do some 120 grit "knock down" sanding - this is a great tool - quick, powerful, vibration and dust free. The "Tiger Tank" of rotary sanders - blows all the others away ;-))

More than I had hoped for
I bought this sander based on a Fine Wordworking review, and am thrilled with it. I have peripheral neuropathy, and vibrating tools are killers for me. This tool is so smooth that it caused me no problems at all after sanding 140 square feet of basswood. The boards I was working on vibrated much more than the tool! Plus it was very fast, easy to control, and the dust catcher worked to perfection. Get this tool even if you don't need the vibration damping feature. Also, get the 6" model, not the 5". It doesn't sound like much of a difference, but the 6" gives you 40% more sanding area, so the discs last a lot longer. If your local store doesn't carry the Bosch discs, the Diablo discs with lots of holes work just fine.

              Smooth and quiet
I recently read a favorable report in one of my wood working magazines and thought I'd buy the sander and give it a try. Wow, nice unit. The larger 6 inch sanding disc is a real treat when working larger wood parts. And, it is much quieter with less vibration than my smaller 5 inch random orbital sander that I have used for years. The new Bosch unit is well worth the money. By the way, the dust collection "tube" on the sander collects virtually all the sanding dust without having to connect your shop vac to the sander. Amazing dust collection design.
