This is my first 6" sander. It has much better balance, ease of contro,l dust collection and less vibration compared to my 5" sander.

I've never used a sander in this price range before, I've own a $70 sander berfore this and hated the task. Now it is quite more enjoyable now that it goes by much faster.

Extremely pleased with the Bosch 6 inch orbital sander. Very limited vibration and plenty of power, love the variable speed. A bit more expensive than other models but very happy with the purchase and I plan on many years of usage. As with most things you definitely get what you pay for!

Unit does the job expected of it. Saves lots of time over hand sanding.

I've been using it doing body work on a antique car. An air sander is lighter but they waste a lot of energy. I hate having a big compressor sucking up power when this little motor will do the same job. Has an excellent cord on it. It's long and very flexible something sorely missing on a lot of power tools. The action is great. I've used it with coarse disks to strip off 60 yrs of multiple coats of old paint and now I'm using it doing the finish. Great tool for sure.

Only just tried it today for the first time, but it meets my most important criteria; IT CAN EASILY BE OPERATED WITH ONE HAND. I have shoulder and spine problems that negate my being able use my belt sander in the conventional two hand method. Oh and it’s smooth, powerful, easy to control.. everything that Bosch has always been. Quality!

Great removal, great dust collection, maybe a little pricey but it's definitely worth it. The suspension system works great. Love this thing.

Power to cut my finishing sanding down by 50 percent. Versitle to form furniture pieces with 80 gritt through polishing a shellac finish with 600 gritt. Strength, it's a Bosch.

I really like this sander, a definite upgrade from my old one by a different manufacturer. It is quite smooth and the dust collection works well with either the included filter or (better) attached to an extractor. My hands do get numb/tingly after extended sessions, and it is a LARGE machine. Definitely not for feature sanding, and even doing the edges of thinner stock can be difficult to maintain a square profile due to size and weight. Would like to pick 4.5 stars but that's not an option.

I bought this to sand my deck. I used it continuously for about a day overall and it was great. It worked reliably, didn't heat up, and was comfortable to use.

This is a very powerful and capable sander. I like the low vibration feature and the larger 6" disc for big projects. On the downside, it's a bit too large and heavy for one-handed operation (like I was able to do with my 5" ROS), and if not careful, it still produces the "swirls" that I'm accosted to with ROS's. However, I'm counting on this sander being reliable and durable.

Powerful, little vibration, not heavy one small problem- not with Bosch, but with Home Depot (and Lowes, too): They sell the Bosch 6" ROS, but with NO SANDING DISCS for a 6" ROS. Incredible! Not in stores, not on the web; letting sales dollars slip through their fingers. Others sell discs on the Web

Had the Bosch sander for over 2 weeks now and I'm loving every moment of it. I also bought the 5" hook and loop disc so I can switch between 5" and 6" discs. The Bosch sander is amazing in every way! I love the variable speed control. the vibration reduction is a huge plus. Sander done right!

Like all Bosch tools, they are well made. Impressive dust collection, best of the the 6" orbital sanders that I have owned. Easy to control; good grip; and low vibration. Leaves a great, level finish. If it lasts like my other Bosch tools, it is well worth the price. Already dropped it one with no issues. I have already thrown out my backup sander.

I'm a pro and bought the 1/2 sheet version of this last year and have been completely happy, when my other RO died i had an excuse to buy this. It's head and shoulder above any other sander i have used or owned. I have converted my whole shop to bosch tools that i could. Great stuff...

Dust control. Performance. Minimal vibration. I think this is the best money can buy right now.

The sander is great. It is easy to use and leaves a smooth surface. The only negative is because of the orbital action, the attached filter keeps coming off the sander. I use a large rubber band to hold it on.

I bought the ROS65VC-6 6" Random Orbit sander about a year ago and I love it. I removed the filter and hooked it up to my vacuum, and there is no dust at all. I don't even have to wear a dust mask. The results I get with this tool are outstanding! I have owned other sanders and they don't even come close. I highly recmend Bosch.

Absolutely loved how it worked the wood and the end result! The job is in the finish and boy howdy did this sander perform! Wow! I'm blown away! Variable speed works extremely well.

This thing is so well balanced and smooth running that hand and arm fatigue is no longer a factor for me. You just do not have to fight this sander. The spin damper allows me to simply turn it off and set it down without having to wait 30 seconds for it to stop. The most important feature for me is that the dust removal system actually works! A great ROS and worth every nickle.

I got this sander because it had less vibration over the old sander ( an old PC orbit sander ). Besides the less vibration, it had a good sense of handling the sanding job. A very nice tool to use. It was a bit expensive, but it seems you have to spend more these days to get excellent tools.

I bought this to grind the old paint off old windows in our house.. The power and speed made this a effortless project, and I was painting my windows before I knew it.

I have several orbital sanders. Over the years I have found while working on large projects it was easier to just grab another sander with the right grit and keep working. When I read the reviews on this sander I was more than skeptical. But it's only money and if this tool would save as much time as they promised. I hate to say it but now I am back to changing discs. My other sanders sit while I use the "Big Guy" - at 64 vibration means a lot to my hands, and this is the best sander I have ever bought. I keep thinking maybe I should buy another one just so I don't have to change discs as often. Most of my projects are 60" and larger. Sand down one table with this sander and the discussion is over. This is absolutely the best ROS I have ever used. It is quiet enough to talk over and the vibration is very low in comparison. Also, I really like the fact it is heavier (real metal) as it sands with not adding slight pressure. The method of having a canister filter is a good one as it is very easy to empty and go back to sanding. If I have a large area to sand I can switch form the 5" pad to the 6" pad. The ROS65VC is well worth the difference in price.

This is the best sander on the market.  When coupled with a simple "shop" type vacuum, this sander is virtually dustless.  Sanding pattern is great, power is great... I could go on..   The biggest feature of this sander is the vibration reduction.  Using my old sander(s), after a day of sanding (I build furniture) my hands would be numb.  I thought the anti-vibe stuff was a gimmick - it's not.. I can sand for hours and hours with no ill effect.  After about a month with this sander, I sold/donated my other RO sanders.  This is all I use.  Planning on picking up the 1/2 sheet version at some point soon. If it had a square pad as an option, that would be cool.
