Living in a house with an average sized 2 car garage and no basement did not leave a ton of room for a conventional workbench. After completing many projects on the concrete floor, I decided I had enough and needed to find a solution. I debated many options including building my own fold away bench. After some hesitation, I decided to purchase this product. I can only say that this is one of the best purchases I have made. Its a little expensive, but its worth every penny. Everything about the bench is high quality. The bolts are 3/8", coated, and heavy duty. The work bench top is probably the nicest one i have seen in a while. Installing it was simple if you can read and use basic tools. Opening and folding it is easy and the brackets all work very nicely. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who wants a nice work surface without taking up the whole garage. Great product and I am happy i bought it.

Pretty easy to assemble and mount to garage wall...operates nicely and is sturdy... nice butcher block top, and well built...I would recommend it ... saves space and looks tidy.

This is a really nice product that unfortunately comes with assembly instructions that are not as useful as they could be due to really bad illustrations of how the folding parts fit together. A little more detail in the pictures would make them useful. The outer shipping box was ripped open at one end but everything was well packed and secured inside so all parts were there. This thing is heavy and could use a better (stronger) outer box. The bench top had 4 dents in it because of insufficient packing material and probably some rough handling by UPS. Once you get folding legs figured out everything goes together without a hitch. All things considered, I'm glad I bought it but It would be better if Home Depot stocked it at the local store and took UPS out of the mix.

All I can say is I am very impressed with this bench. If you are looking for something light and quick look elsewhere, because this thing is thick, heavy, sturdy, and I feel like it could support a motorcycle parked on top. I am not sure if the price is high or not, because at $299 i was hesitant, but overall I am happy I got it. *** ONE THING TO NOTE: While the instructions do say that this bench can be mounted to a Block (or Concrete) wall as I did, the drill bit and anchors for Block are not included. It only includes Lag Screws for mounting on Wood Beams. If you plan to mount to Block you will need to buy some Hollow Block Anchors or some Tapcon Screws, and then the Masonry bit to go with it, FYI (for $299 they really should have included these with the Lag screws as an alternate option, or at least allowed the purchase of one or the other). 5 Stars nonetheless.

The overall quality of this bench is very good. The installation went off without any problems. It makes great use of space by folding down against the wall.

Saves a lot of space and is very safe to use. Instructions were clear for an engineer but could use some improvement. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the design.

I first saw this product on the internet while researching folding workbenches. I was able to locate it at Home Depot and ordered it. It was fairly easy to install and I mounted a plywood backer to the wall and mounted the work bench over the backer while still contacting the wall studs. This meant having to purchase longer screws but the backer I feel provides a better mounting surface for this bench. It was a bit of a challenge to install as other reviewers have mentioned, the instruction leave a lot to be desired but the quality of the components is fantastic. It took me about 2.5 hours to install it and while frustrating at times it really did go together well. If you are space limited or value the ability to fold the work surface down when you are not using it, this is the bench for you! It is well built, great quality and does everything it says it will. Way to go Bench Solution and way to go Home Depot for making it available!

This is the best bench on the planet. After we finished installing it on the wall, we had a 180 pound man jump up and down on it.... It didn't budge. We have it ancored to a cinder block wall. It folds down and up with ease as well.

Install was a little difficult, instructions about useless. I kept going to the web site and looking at the video for clues. For $300.00 put some bloody tap cons in the package for concrete mount. I still like the bench and glad a bought it. Meets my needs perfectly.

It took me and my boyfriend four hours to assemble and put on the wall. He is very smart and does a lot of construction but was baffled by the useless instructions. He thinks they should of pre-assembled more parts of the bench before they ship it. We ended up bolting it right through the wall with six inch bolts - as my wall was built in the 1930's era and doesn't have regular set studs to screw into. Now that the bench is up on the wall its amazing! Really easy to lift into place and it locks securely, no chance of it falling down. To release it you have to pull the two handles out its a bit of a struggle for me as I am only 5'3" so don't have a wide arm span - but I can do it. To lift it up into place from its down position is super simple and I can lift it with one hand and it securely locks into place. The butcher block is very attractive. I use it for cutting patterns and for kitchen preparation and dining at. Mounted it at 60" so its perfect for sitting at with a bar stool. The bench even when it is up is not imposing or overwhelming in my small apartment as as it doesn't have legs to get in the way so the dogs can run around and play with it up and obviously when its down its wonderful and has a very small foot print like 3 inches against the wall. Excellent product just a real bear to get it together and up on the wall - but once you have it in place, you will use it and love it! It takes two people to initially put it up on the wall and at least one of you should have some construction/engineering experience and a lot of patience!

I rarely write product reviews but the quality of this foldaway work bench is simply outstanding. I had to write a review and share my experience. All parts were machined well and fit together perfectly. Assembly takes some time but between the youtube videos and well written instructions installation was a breeze. The bench really does fit against a wall in under 4 inches. This was really important to me since I only use it periodically and couldn't give up floor space for a bench that was always there. This is a solid bench easily up to the task of handling anything I can throw at it. Wooden surface is solid and I'm sure durable. If you're looking for a compact fold away workbench, don't think twice about getting this workbench. It is worth every penny! Home Depot processed and shipped my order quickly.
