All of the window shades were cut to the correct size. I wish they were a little thicker. I don't really think these darken the room but, for the price, they are an excellent value.

Purchase 2 shades from another store. Employees were not well trained on the cutting machine to adjust width. The result was a shade 1/2 inch too short. Returned for refund. Went to Home Depot. Found same item. The employee assigned to the machine was very competent and quickly cut to size. Fit perfectly.

Just what I wanted, and no hassle going out to the stores to find. Cut to my size, and easy to hang.

The product was the only one I could find easily on-line. The nice thing was that it was of customizable size to match my window and did fit properly. The price was reasonable. Unfortunately, the material was too thin and did not block out all the light. Also it was too wobbly and soon had worked the screws on the holding pieces in the wall loose. It needs to roll smoother.

Installed this roller shade over internal molding for a kitchen widow - simply to block the evening sun. Shade overlaps the window molding by a few inches and does darken the incoming light very well. Had this shade trimmed to length in-store. Install was easy - and operation is smooth.

For a very inexpensive blind it does what I need it to do, which is keep the bright morning sun from disturbing my sleep in the AM. I have not had any problems with the roller mechanism. So far it's been an excellent purchase.

This is supposed to be a room darkening shade but the gaps on the side of the window are huge. We installed the shade inside the window frame. Maybe if you install this outside the frame there wouldn't be big gaps that let the light in. It isn't a problem with measuring, we could not have made the shade any wider and have it fit. The hardware is just wide

It emitted a strong vinyl aroma for a few days, and had some small wrinkles when unrolled. The odor has gone away, the wrinkles have disappeared and it is doing what it was designed to do: make the room dark enough so I can see my TV in the daytime. The spring mechanism works as designed. It will stop at whatever position I desire and it rolls back up just fine. Great performance for the price.

The material is very flimsy and doesn't roll all the way up (half-way up).

they were cut perfectly, and operate nicely, but barely light filtering not darkening.

the shades are very thin, and do not go up and down easily. hopefully after more use, they will work better. they seemed expensive for the quality.

Shade is fine - what I needed for situation. Stick that slides in at bottom to use for raising / lowering is kind of flimsy. Every time I use expect it to break.

We needed the shades cut to 39" and they fit just perfect. They were easy to install and and they darken the room really well. They were delivered to our house in less than a week. From ordering to installation everything worked as expected.

The spring system and the way it attaches into the brackets much better that I ever had. Will not come loose and fly out and roller hit the floor. Thanks HD

The shade were cut to the wrong size. They customer service responded quickly and were helpful, however I do not live near a Home Depot so it is difficult to return online purchases. Oh well.

First, measure a few times, very carefully from side edge to side edge and tell the home depot worker how you measure so they can cut the appropriate length, factoring in the hanging hardware. That being said, the shade itself is quite flimsy, ie, the bottom edge bends when you pull the shade down (especially with longer shades) and I don't know how many times it can take that. Also, the darkener doesn't darken too much - different opaque levels were not available.

Not worth a dollar! This "roller" shade would roll about 6 inches for a few days. After a week, it will not roll at all. It now just stays in the closed position all the time. Don't buy it. It's AWFUL!

The shades were of good quality but a little expensive.

Complete and total junk product ! Woke up this morning, shade all the way down......on it's own ! Spring broke ! This is the second one ! And Home depot wants me to look for the shipping paper work, try to find a box to fit, get down to the UPS store, and ship them back ? IN THE GARBAGE !! Mini blinds now.......from Walmart !!!!! DO NOT BUY THESE !!!

Do not waste your money on these awful, awful shades. Yes, they're cheap, but in this case you get what you paid for - or less. If you are into getting a terrible night's sleep however, these are totally for you. After having them for only a couple months, and not even using them often, they like to spontaneously roll themselves up in the middle of the night with such force that they knock themselves out of the rails, come crashing onto the ground, and send me into a heart-pounding panic thinking someone has broken into my house. Once, it sent my cat jumping off me so fast he left bleeding claw marks in my arm. When they're not doing that, they roll up crooked, so they have to be re-wound manually every second or third use, and seem to only want to stop and catch either 6 inches shorter than you want or 6 inches longer - never at the right height to actually block the light. Total nightmare. I wish it wasn't too late to return them.

The shades not only look quite cheap, but have on several occasions randomly sprung forcefully out of their brackets, hitting people and damaging furniture. We purchased three shades, and two of them have done this. They are also even more likely to come out of their brackets when you try to raise the shade, and it is very difficult to get them to stay at the height that you would like. Definitely would not purchase again.

These shades worked perfectly in our windows and provide a fresh look without being too heavy.
