[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Compared to other brands, I found this is the best. It's thicker and applies well. It also lasts longer and through our "Siberian" winters in northern Minnesota.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought a ranch house and exterior paint was peeling pretty bad. At 72 years of age I sought out bids from local painters and I was taken aback by the quotes. Understandably there would be a lot of labor and materials to use but being in good health and not one to sit on my haunches I took on the job myself. Being retired meant I could take my time if need be. First cleaned all the wood shingles, then scraped all the chipped and peeling paint. Then sanded where need be. Cleaned off the shingles again. Then started painting. Was able to get one coat on the first season then the second the following year. As I was painting I was getting compliments from people walking by thru the neighborhood.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This paint is easy to work with and goes on really well. Even though the paint is thick it isn't so thick that it is clumpy or hard to spread. Although if you are painting Hardi for the first time or Painting Metal (even if Primed with Metal primer) more than one coat is required to get a really solid coat. Even more coats may be required when the paint color is really dark.

Out of all painting companies (Dunn Edwards, Sherwin Williams, Vista, etc) no company offers a product like the Behr Ultra paint and primer that covers in on solid coat! I believe this product is perfect on any surface and leaves surfaces very resistant to weather condition or interior everyday life.

I have painted the entire interior of my home with Behr paint. I started my exterior project and all was going well until I got to my external french doors. That’s when the trouble began, which one week later I’m going to try and exchange paint at home depot for the first time in my life. 1. The paint started blooming on me the day after, this was a milky film on the door that kept spreading as time went on. Thinking more coats might solve it as I got a dark color, I proceeded to apply more. After FIVE coats the problem kept happening. Ive never had to do more than two on any project before. 2. It took 3 coats just for color coverage 3. The paint was really thick and would not lay flat. Probably because it started drying within just a few mins, leaving it no time to lay down. This left my doors with a bumpy finish. Now i have to sand them and start again. I cleaned, caulked and primed all surfaces. I didn’t paint in direct sun. I used high quality, new brushes and rollers. The temperature was about 65 degrees with 40-60% humidity. I love the color and it seems like a durable paint. I’m usually very happy with behr products, but this semi gloss winter way paint is the bane of my existence right now.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] my sister asked me to paint the exterior of her house these last weeks since i got layed off due to Covid 19...as always i purchased Behr paint and i told her that two gallons would be enough for all the hardy board siding and one for the trim, Home Depot matched the colors extactly and just painting for the first 4 hours in the mornings i got the entire house completed in a week...with this Texas heat i know how Behr paint reacts so painting with a brush was best for me....she loves how the house looks and even has gotten comments from neighbors on the overall finish...this is my 15th year using Behr paint and i know i will never use another brand ever.
