Did a great job on my 100 year old ceiling

Worked well, covered the drywall and looks great.

Made the ceiling look brand new. Covered all dark spots and had very even coverage when rolling on.

This paint provides good coverage in one coat and is relatively drip free. It meets my needs for a clean looking white ceiling.

This paint was easy to apply. It went on smoothly. It did require two coats.

This room had a midnight blue (so deep blue it was almost black) ceiling.....one coat and done!! Covered wonderfully!!

The ceiling paint, wall paint and floor paint went on easy and made our project a huge success.

Absolute junk. I was told by HD paint dept that this works exceptionally well and should be able to coat my kitchen ceiling with one coat. Well 3 coats and 2 gallons later I was still unable to get even coverage. For some reason each time it overlapped it dried darker. I even changed up the best roller store had with another brand on third coat. Still came out crappy. Of course HD told me I can’t return the paint since I opened it already. Beautiful... I explained my issue to them and of course they recommended I should get the Behr Marquee ceiling paint at $44/gal. Right... Well the Marquee did the job at one coat as advertised. So this small paint project should have been below $50 and 1 day of work, but it ended up being closer to $140+ and 6 days of paint work in which there is no price that could be set on the time I’ve lost having to paint the ceiling 4x. This product shouldn’t be on the shelves at this pricepoint.

I swear by Behr paint and only use Behr Premium Plus Ultra on my walls. I've never painted ceilings before, but I figured I couldn't go wrong with my tried and true paint. Unfortuantely, I am extremely disappointed in this product. I primed my newly drywalled ceiling with Behr's drywall primer and let it dry for two days. Then I followed with two coats of this paint. Both coats had very noticeably flashing (variations in the finished sheen of the paint) even though I did my best to be consistent with my coverage. Once the final coat was dry, I was horrified to see that the ceiling paint is not actually flat! It is somewhere between matte and eggshell. I could see every tiny surface variation in my ceiling. I don't expect my work to be perfect since I'm an amateur DIYer. I do, however, expect flat ceiling paint to be FLAT. My mother has been using Behr for years and has had the best luck with their lowest grade flat ceiling paint so I will be using that next. I am just surprised and disappointed in this product.

Fairly easy to paint on and didn’t leave streaks. So easy to clean up!

Best paint on the market! Used 3 gallons paint/ primer another brand would not cover! Started over with Behr painting a breeze! Only problem Home Depot two hours away!!! Best paint ever!!!!!

Went on very smooth and covered well. I was very pleased with the result. I will be using this on the rest of my house.

This ceiling paint was great. Easy to use with very little splatter. I applied two layers and everything was covered. I wasn't pleased with some of the sanding mistakes that I made, but the ceiling paint covered and hid them well.

Expensive which would have been ok if it lived up to it's label promises. Don't count on coverage! It took 3 coats over new sheetrock and still could use another coat on the ceilings. Very disappointed.

Great coverage. Whitened up the rooms very well. In the heat it does go one slightly sticky. Need to have temp below 80 degrees to get best results. Product was excellent, price was right and if you get the rebate it is even better. Did require 2 coats but that is ok.

The coverage is very good, although the paint is quite thick. It does give reflective sheen to my ceiling, as you can see the difference in my picture I uploaded. The price was good for the paint. I would recommend this paint if you need to reflect light in a not well lit room.

Seems a lot of people liked this more than we did. We found every aspect of this paint inferior. We ended up having to switch brands and repaint. I'd steer clear of this stuff.

This product was recommended by the sales associate at Home Depot. The can purchased was shaken there in the paint department and applied later that day after priming the ceiling with Kilz Max. Although the paint was also stirred during application, it contained many lumps that continuously had to be removed and rolled over. Given the higher cost, perhaps this particular gallon had excessive time on the shelf. Otherwise, the paint did not dry so quickly, resulting in good, uniform coverage with little evidence of 'over painting strips' between successive rows.

In store purchase, great color, no overwhelming smell. Product goes on well, has great coverage-has the primer and paint together. The only thing I don't like about it is that it is very thick-at first it was hard to work with but as I worked on the ceilings in each room I got "my groove" working with it. I would purchase again.

I painted over light green ceiling and two coats were required and I am happy with the result.

Had a cathedral ceiling to paint, rolled on smoothly to this tough ceiling.

I am a decorative painter and also do residential painting. I have always been a Sherwin Williams devotee. I had a customer, within this last year, who insisted on Behr Ultra for the trim job that I was doing. I told him that I used Sherwin Williams paint. He wouldn't hear of it, so I bought a cream-colored paint that would be going over a dark-gold-colored trim. Normally that would take 2-3 coats, with streaking issues. I was astonished as the first coat went on. I only had to do a light, touch-up coat on the second time around. It leveled beautifully and was easy to work with. Soon after that, my husband and I bought an old Victorian house that needed lots of interior painting. I chose the Behr Ultra because of what happened....I had lots of dark, ugly colors to cover. My house now looks absolutely gorgeous and I am a big advocate of Behr Ultra. There were many years where I hated Behr paint and would not use it because it was thin, streaky and would take multiple coats. No more. It is a completely different product and I can't say enough about it. It is also very scrubbable and looks like velvet in my gorgeous Victorian. LOVE IT!

Expect to have to use two coats, coverage was marginal and paint seemed thin even though it was mixed and stirred before use.

Very easy to apply. Nice bright white color. In my situation, it covered great with one coat.

The ceiling was heavily nicotine stained from when my son had been in that room for a number of years. I wanted an excellent paint that would cover and have to do the job once. This was done and the result was excellent.
