If I could give more than a five star I definitely would! Our basement stairs were painted a light gray and this paint covered so well without streaking, there was no need for a second coat. The consistency of the paint was like thick pudding or melted chocolate. I used a brush as my choice of application and it did a fabulous job. This was some of the best paint I have ever used, and clean up was simple too. I figured I ruined my brush, but I used dish soap and warm water and finished with the garden hose with the spray nozzle on full blast and it’s good as new. I painted my basement stairs Including the risers and baseboards and I only used 2 inches of paint from the gallon. I love this paint!

Our deck on the West side is large and mostly covered but the steps are not. Built in 2018, the steps have been painted twice previously using the same paint as used on the decks. There wasn't much surface preparation needed as the existing surfaces were clean and sound. I used a very good quality roller cover and brush. I normally apply paint rather liberally and this product seemed to be designed for a rather heavy application. I used one-third gallon for the project. We are quite pleased with the results. The finish is attractive and the steps now have a very slip-resistant finish. The paint covered over small cracks and shallow nail indentations, mostly during touch-up application after the first coat had dried. From now on this will be our choice of paint on outdoor steps, landings, and porches.

I had to call Behr customer service with a question, and the guy was really knowledgeable and helpful. And thankfully he clarified to me that the primer only should go where there is bare concrete. I would've put it everywhere. Outside of the scraping and sanding nearly killing me, the job went well and I'm happy with the results. The stuff was thick like goo instead of like paint and the Behr rep said to add water to make it the consistency of paint. I only put one coat but have plenty of product so I'll probably add one more coat even though this looks good. Pictures I attached show before, during, and after painting. Prep work is the hardest part but essential for good results and I am satisfied.

Being DIYers, we have tried many brands of paint for many home projects including anti slip products. I like this the best of all. Has just enough grit and just the right viscosity to make applying fairly easy. Goes on smooth with a roller and a regular paint brush. At first, I was a little hesitant about the terra cotta shade but after stirring it up and rolling it onto a set of older wooden steps, it looks quite nice. Great coverage with just the one coat although I will likely do another right off. Easy soap and water clean up!

The last patio coating failed within 2 years so I decided to try the Behr Premium Porch and Patio Anti-Slip Floor Paint in Tan Color. It’s very important with this paint to perform the proper surface preparation, including cleaning/sealing and light sanding of wood surfaces prior to application. The paint is a 100% acrylic latex base and is very thick. The manufacturer recommends using a 1/4 inch nap roller for smooth surfaces, or a 3/8 nap for weathered surfaces. It requires a lot of paint to cover the deck. Plan on 75 sf per gallon for a weathered surface and 100-125 sf for smooth surfaces. Although application is rather labor intensive, I am very satisfied with the results of the Behr Premium Porch and Patio Anti-Slip Floor Paint. No longer do I need to worry about slipping on a wet surface, and it looks fantastic.

So far I am satisfied with this product. The color is neutral and blends great with many things around my backyard. I am currently using this product on pavers and step stones to add some character in my yard. The paint comes with base primer for the paint to stick properly to the concrete. It has the sand texture when you are applying the paint and makes it anti slippery. I only hope this product will last and time will tell.

Behr give good quality of product with detailed instruction. I am planing to installed on my side wall below windows and observe the color. I clean the wall with power washer and waiting to over the heat weave. And the best part of behr product is lasting long and I am using protective course on top of the color coat. I am also planing to use the color coat with protective coat in front door. I am very happy with BHER product.

This is a high quality surface paint. It can be used for a concrete deck, garage, or common use for a porch. There are several things that you need to remember before using this product. Like any painting project, you need to make sure your surface is completely clean and dry. This means if you pressure washed the surface at all, you need to wait several weeks before you paint it. If you are using it on brand new pressure treated wood wait 3 to 6 months before putting anything on that. And if you are painting over a previous project, you need to make sure that you scrape the old loose paint off first.

I must say that I was extremely impressed with this Behr Premium textured low-lustre enamel porch and patio anti-slip floor paint. This is a “cover all the bases” paint. The base can be colored to match an existing paint, or you can choose from a wide variety of colors. This paint will work on any concrete or wood and will make that into an anti-slip area with the texturized formula. The only difference is what primer you will need to use, Behr all-in-one wood cleaner or Behr concrete and masonry bonding primer. One gallon will cover approximately 125 sq. ft. using a standard 3/8” nap roller. I have multiple projects going on where I will be using this on wood and concrete. I tested it on a paint mixing strip and found that it covered all the writing on the paint stick with one coating which leads me to believe that the advertised coverage is accurate.I will be using the dark walnut to paint accent areas of my deck, which is already painted with a lighter color textured paint. I can't wait to see the outcome...

Seeing that the color is a lighter tan, it may need an additional coat in spots. I will be using this on my front concrete steps and I can't wait to see how they turn out.

Most DIY'ers know that the prep work makes the project successful but this is a project where the prep work is essential! The Bonding Primer (picture included) for concrete will ensure better adhesion of the porch paint. Please read and follow the instructions for both products to achieve superior results. Take it from me, speaking from experience and previous failed attempts. First of all, your porch, specifically if it's your front porch like mine is, gets a lot of traffic, both foot and eye. You want it to look it's best and to last! We pressure washed our concrete porch first and allowed to dry undisturbed, ie., no foot traffic, before applying the bonding primer. Please note once the primer is applied, you can apply your topcoat, aka porch paint, after 4 hours but Behr says the primer can go up to 29 days without. The sooner the better in my opinion. However, be prepared not to use this entryway for at least 3 days to allow paint to cure. So far, so good for us! It hasn't been 30 days yet, so I'm unable to comment on durability or how it holds to cleaning. Primer takes a cleaner to clean application tool, we used a nap roller to apply both. Behr recommends 1/4 inch nap for smooth surfaces. Paint cleans up with soap & water, I like that! Dark gray color works well with our light gray house color.

Great traction after using this anti-slip floor paint. I have always slipped on my shed incline surface when it was wet but now it allows me to get a grip and stops me from sliding. I painted my ramp on my outdoor shed and my walkway to the deck. These were two of my trouble spots for slipping after a rain but now they are a lot safer since they are no longer slick. Behr paint also fills in the cracks in your wood so it will help preserve it for years to come. It goes on easy and smooth without a lot of effort. Clean up was super easy with water and came off my brush and hands. I've been painting for a long time and I know you will love this product.

So far so good, we received the black and a this dark walnut, we tested the black first on some backyard wood steps and we were satisfied, so we went ahead and did the back porch because it needed repairs anyways, we like it, looks good, dries well, as said in the other review it's thick and textured so stir well to keep the texture consistent, can't attest for the durability as we've only had it for about a week but it looks good now and wasn't much work at all, not much different than painting a wall other than the wood prep stage first then it's as simple as stirring and rolling on.

We applied this to a set of wooden steps in the rear of a rental unit. After washing them with wood cleaner and letting them thoroughly dry. I have used other anti-slip paints but this is the best so far. It's thick but not too thick that it's difficult to use. It does roll out easily and goes on with a brush well. The photos are with just a single coat and still wet. The stairs will require a second round as they are older with many small cracks etc. Just the right amount grit to be effective IMO. Soap and water clean up!

I like this paint. Very thick and covers amazing. One coat coverage. And the sanded texture is perfect for nonslip in wet weather. I am wondering how well it will hold up to our winter weather and repeated snow removal from deck surface. The color is very vibrant. As with any paint project surface prep is the key and the most tedious part of the job. Use the recommended primers and surface cleaners and results should be whats expected. Mine were. The concrete surface I’m going to keep an eye on and update info if I’m able to in time. Very pleased with the coverage and quality.

We took a chance and used this paint on the walls and not on the floor. The paint covered the cement walls in 1 coat (2nd coat wasn't necessary since the paint we covered was a light color). The paint is thick but not too thick to work with. The texture is easy to see but when covering the cement walls, the texture was a nice touch to camouflage the crevices in the cement. Drying time was surprisingly fast, especially since it's a pretty humid day. This is definitely paint worth getting for those hard to cover cement walls and floors. 2 gallons went very far. The paint was easy to clean off of the brushes.

I am extremely impressed with the Behr Premium textured porch paint. I used this product on my front porch which was an unfinished concrete previously. The paint applied very smoothly and spread as well as it claimed on the can. The drying time was quick but slow enough to work with. I used concrete primer first and I would recommend as I had no issues. The color is just as it looks on the can.

After looking around at different types of paint to assist with a small deck in need of rehab at our cottage. The decking tends to get very slippery when it gets the least amount of rain. I began with scrubbing it clean with the coordinating wash. Let it dry well. The paint is very thick. I used both a brush and a roller to apply. It filled in most of the small cracks and crevices on the first coat. I waited 2 days before stepping on it and putting furniture back. How well it holds up...time will tell. Looks great, no real odor and cleans up easily with soap and water.

BEHR Premium 1 GAL. #PFC-10 deep terra cotta textured low-lustre enamel interior/exterior porch and patio anti-slip floor paint. I choose this paint to bring some life back into my stepping stones in my back yard. Yeah I could have tossed them and bought some newer ones though I thought I would give this a try. And to my surprise they turned out really good, was very impressed with the results. Now I'am going to add white marble chips around them and new landscape timbers. Each gal.of this paint is a pretty thick texture and covers between 75 to 150 square feet depending on whether it is rough or smooth surface. The dry time is between 2 hours to touch and 2-4 hours for recoat. Clean up is a breeze with just soap and water. As you can see it can be used for different applications. The paint is slip resistant as well as weather resistant.

First impression - A very thick, well pigmented paint, that covers easily in one coat. I tested this out on cement and it covered very well. I really like the gritty non-slip finish. Should be really good for protection against slips and falls. This, and any paint, obviously works best going over a new surface. I don't have that, so we'll have to see how it does over previously painted surfaces. Water cleanup is nice. Note that the surface primer in NOT water cleanup if you use that.

Excellent quality and easy, smooth application by three inch synthetic brush around perimeter and cutting in and with a nine inch semi-rough roller sleeve for the floor. The primer sealed the concrete porch floor nicely and dried quickly allowing for an even and consistent covering of two coats of the finish coat product. Walked on it the next day and then after recent rain and you can feel the grip!

Behr does a great job making their products easy to use and the instructions for successful application couldn't be easier to follow. Since I am putting this on an older unfinished deck, I need to clean with Behr 63 Wood Deck Cleaner first. Ask for which cleaner is right for you if you are using this on concrete. I am waiting for the rain to quit long enough to apply the cleaner and start coating! For a successful job, please read the instructions. Every coating has different recommendations and methods for a flawless application. Compared to other manufacturer's coatings I have used, Behr makes their products very user friendly and much easier to successfully apply.

This is an excellent floor paint. Prep work is critical. I cleaned the concrete and let it thoroughly dry aided by a fan. Then next morning I used the Behr bonding primer (see picture for can) which provides a coating that the floor paint really binds to. Because of timing it was a week later when I painted the floor. I started in one corner and finished at the stairs. I had cross fans blowing fresh outside air across the floor for about 12 hours. I waited three more days before going back on the floor. It felt dry to the touch the day after application but this is a fairly heavy emulsion and I wasn't in a rush. The final finish, light grey in my case, looks terrific. The non-slip surface is great. For a basement, garage or porch, I completely recommend this paint!

This is an excellent, high quality paint. I applied on a high traffic walkway of a condominium. I used the recommended primer/sealer. I had to apply at different times and sections as it was raining and in high traffic areas. The spread rate was good. The color was consistent even though applied at different times. The finish is not slippery and so far has held up to traffic. The photos show a different finish consistency only because the stucco has be patched and some is smoother than the original. 5 Stars

Decided to try this and the BEHR Rich Brown on my wooden porch. I've ALWAYS used BEHR paint this is the Anti slip formula. It didn't do well on my concrete however I used the Behr Wood Deck Wash and after allowed time I applied the Dark Walnut to the floor and steps it went on good with brush tried roller the nap recommended but brush works better. It does goo up I has to keep wiping so it dries fast! After the floor and steps I used the Rich Brown on my rails even though it's anti slip wanted to see how it worked EXCELLENT ! I do not recommend it for concrete but the wood porch it did great the Dark Walnut after drying wasn't as dark as I expected but it still compliments along with the Rich Brown on rails?
