This was better than last one… but… nut holding staples fell off so now it gorilla tape keeping the bolt in place

used to cover dinning room chairs. liked the fact that this tool allows you to used three different length of staples.

Ordered one, loaded with Arrow staples, managed to get to fire staples twice and then jammed, unjammed it, fired one staple and jammed, unjammed it, did this a few more times and then returned it for a replacement, got it home, loaded it with Arrow staples, got six staples to fire and then it jammed, this piece of garbage is going back.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] PowerShot Forward Action Staple Gun and Nailer - 5700 is a good little stapler for very light craft but under performs on medium tasks such as upholstery. The spring pressure is so light that it dispenses the staple before sufficient pressure can be applied to insure that the staple seats. I used it to apply upholstery cloth to the bottom of a chair and ended up needing to drive a majority of the staples home with a small hammer. A bit more pressure on the spring would probably solve the problem.

First one jammed endlessly using arrow brand T50 staples in 1/4" and 1/2" length. Bought a replacement, and the replacement wouldn't even work brand new out of the package. refused to fire unless you squeezed it fully, then slowly backed off.

I had 1years ag,loved it.I just returned one, it was the worst piece of crap o ever owned. Let’s hope this exchange one lives up to the Arrow name.

I don’t typically give bad reviews but I would hate someone else to have to deal with the same problem. I wish I would have read the reviews before buying. It keeps jamming and then when you do get it to work it’s delayed and not user friendly. Dangerous too because as you try to unjam it it will randomly fire . It’s currently jammed and I can’t unjam it because if I turn it towards me to unjam it will shoot me in the face. I will be returning it.

Bought the power shot 5700M 2 months ago. It's performance has been awful from day 1. Shoot a staple, pull a staple should be it's name!! It literally breaks the leg off every other staple it shoots. Tried another staple strip same thing. Tried staples from another box, same thing. Now, the plunger that holds the staples in will not even stay in the staple gun. I guess made in the U.S.A. doesn't mean what it used to mean.

I purchased on the basis of shooting staples AND brads. It's fine with staples, but doesn't accept brads in the slide magazine. I've tried everything to load various lengths of brads only to have my attempts end in frustration!

I had a powershot a number of years ago and it finally gave it up. Purchased a new one and it worked for approximately 10 minutes and then would not shoot staples. It was not jambed something inside was bent or disfigured and it would not work. I liked the stapler and it's design just made it too cheap to work.

The Arrow Power Shop is a powerful stapling tool. I recommend it.

I bought this stapler and it jammed frequently. I exchanged it hoping it was just defective. The second jammed as much as the first but this time it jammed to the point where the staple was stuck inside the device and could not be reached. Believing I could fix it, I unscrewed the stapler to fix it which was a terrible idea because there are so many loose parts. I wish I would have returned it just to get my money back but at this point I'm just going to eat the cost. Do not buy this.

Whoever thought up this design has hopefully been fired. This thing jams constantly the the plastic piece inside broke. It is now in the trash. Stick to the basics and make something dependable.

I thought an electric staple gun would help make reupholstering easier. The staples never went all the way in and the cord was a hassle. On a whim, I gave this a try. Much better for a lightweight person like me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Power Shot worked great for about two years. Really liked as it was easier to use than most other hand staplers. However, it wore out and became non-functional rater quickly, in my opinion.

Didn't even make it through the first box of staples before I decided to throw it on the floor.

Arrow shamelessly advertises "Designed and Assembled in the US". I wish they wouldn't. This is one of the worst simple machines I've handled in years; a terrible example of American engineering. Did they give this product design project to an ME co-op student? I'm using genuine Arrow T50 staples and it jams on every third or fourth one. Just terrible.

HD really needs to pull this one. Your buyers should do their homework.

I was disappointed in this unit. It jammed constantly on the first use. I purchased the type of staples suggested but I spent more time clearing out jammed staples than using it.

This was to be an upgrade from an 'old fashioned' T50 Stapler Gun, which I gave to my daughter. I regret that deal. This PowerShot Model 5700 is junk. It worked fine for about 30 staples, and then about 12 of the 5/8 brads. On the third attempt to use it, with 3/8 T50 staples, it refused to work, and I could only coax it to shoot a staple after tapping the base a few times, and then EVER SO SLOWLY squeezing the handle, while saying a prayer, and even then it only set a staple about every third try. I will purchase some different stapler on my next opportunity, and I can promise you it will NOT be made by this outfit.

Purchased specifically for its capacity to handle 9/16 staples. Needed to attach indoor-outdoor carpet to plywood. Staples did not go all the way in - maybe asking too much.

This unit took me by surprise. It worked great in the begining and then it slowly died. I returned it and got a new one and it never shot the first nail. They should remove these from the shelf. I highly recommend something other than this unit. I would not even call it a tool.

Putting some insulation in house. I bought this. Second row it jammed. When it does, u have to take it apart. Which i had to do 3 times to finish the job. It hangs on the wall jammed after the second job was first begun. Had to use my dads 1950’s sears stapler. Hard as heck but still works.
