Easy to use, made well.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got this for the wifey. She had trouble using the T-50 as it’s a little difficult to squeeze. Furthermore the way it’s designed the staple comes out where you apply the most pressure when using it. This make it FAR easier to work with.

    Wasted my money
I bought this to staple some replacement screen on my porch. It is a small space approx. 12x7. I didn't get even half of it done before this brand new, never used before stapler totally quit working.

Hello, there. We are so sorry you've been disappointed by your experience with the PowerShot 5700 staple gun and nailer. Sometimes what you described with this tool can occur if there is a stuck staple inside of the PowerShot; this can cause the handle of the tool to disengage, or the tool may begin misfiring. Typically this can be resolved by removing the magazine, as shown here: http://bit.ly/5700-tip. However, we know there may also be other issues at play here, so we'd like to touch base with you directly to further troubleshoot and check if this issue falls within our limited lifetime warranty. Please look for an email from us today!
      Dual Temp Glue Gun
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My purchase this glue gun. It heats up fast, it has high and low temperature, my first time using it I glued metal to Wood artwork and it did really well, It has a fine tip so you get point accuracy. I would say for the price you can't go wrong.

Staple gun drives staples well into treated wood. Unit worked well out of the box, however failed after 50 staples, would not reset the firing mechanism/push pin. So returned to store for replacement. Otherwise handles well and easy to use.

Great concept except for the all-too frequest jams
Everything about this product is good (handle design, takes various size staples, product readily available, reasonable cost) BUT it jams every time I use it and I am using the correct T50 Arrow brand staples. It hasn't been abused. Fix a jam? easy according to the enclosed instructions and the authorized YouTube videos: remove the stapler holder aka magazine. Agony #1: after removing the nut, the screw would NOT release, so after an evening, I gave up and decided to open the stapler completely. Agony #2: this was not a good idea; that fork"engine" of a spring is the reason. Agony #3: after trolling for videos on how to reassemble - found and followed - I am unable to achieve success after the 5th try. What do you suggest? It's not broken, all the parts are good, but I can't spend another night trying my best. Also, the tension on the "engine" spring is scary to work with.

Hello, there. We're so sorry you've been disappointed by your experience with the PowerShot 5700 staple gun and nailer. When the screw at the back of this tool is loosened, the bolt on the other side should release, and the screw should come easily out of the tool, as shown in the videos you mentioned (http://bit.ly/5700-tip). However, it does not sound like this was the experience that you had, so we'd like to touch base with you directly to learn more. Look for an email from us today!

                Would buy again
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter and I were insulating my garage, but the staples that my husband had for his electric staple gun didn't fit. We ran to the hardware store to buy more staples, but they had none for his Stanley, so I bought this new gun. It has a bit of a learning curve to figure out the ergonomics of it, but once we got the hang of it, it was great! Lightweight and easy to use! I recommend this product!

                  Complete Garbage
I’ve used this for less than an hour and I have already had to clear a jam out of the clip about 10 times. Now the trigger doesn’t even pull the spring back. I opened up the main compartment to see what was going on and all the pieces inside were messed up. This is being returned and I will never buy a PowerShot again. What a pain!!!

                    Very disappointed
I bought this one to replace my ~20 years old worn out Stanley staple gun and what a mistake that I have made. First of all, I had to buy a brand new set of T50 staples and worst of all, the staple gun simply doesn't work. When I pressed down the handle, nothing come out and it appears that the staple piston is stuck at the all the way down position and never retracted back to the top. So now I am stuck with a bunch of T50 staples with a useless staple gun. What a nightmare and a big disappointment. Who would have thought that you would get a dud on a staple gun? I wouldn't recommend this product to any of my friends and my family.

This is my favorite and most used stapler. This Power-Shot design has a unique feature that makes it FAR better than all other staplers, which is: It places pressure on the business end where staples come out. All other designs have the handle opposite of where the pressure should be, so they require force—effort YOU must apply. This unique design is much easier to use because it automatically puts pressure where it should be… at the tip. That tip-pressure is necessary to make any stapler drive staples fully. It’s just easier to do with this design. You can see from the photo, I have TWO power-shots. The one on the left has perfectly driven countless thousands of 1/4 inch staples over the last decades, primarily for artist’s canvas over stretchers and fixing wet watercolor paper to heavy hardwood boards. That explains the spattered paint and inks. When stretching canvas, we must staple the entire perimeter of the frame with MANY staples… over a hundred staples per frame on larger works. And I have made hundreds of frames, several thousand water colors, plus numerous other craft projects with that stapler on the left. The incredible force of cloth or paper shrinkage can bend 3/4 inch boards, warp wooden frames and pull out poorly driven staples. Yet, in all these years, not a single one of my staples driven with that stapler on the left, has EVER pulled out! In fact, that's the ONLY problem I can see with these… you have to try very hard to remove staples that are fully driven with power-shot staplers. If you do mess up and stick a staple in the wrong spot, use vice grips to grab it. That’s the only easy way to get staples out when this thing sticks ‘em. You must understand that the messy wet environment of an artist’s studio is torture on tools. Water causes rust, yet you can see from the photos, there is no rust on that heavily used stapler on the left. Even the interior, which has ferrous metals, is completely free of tool-wrecking rust. Further, I very seldom have any staple jams. (maybe one or two jams per box of a thousand staples.) Whenever I did have jams, —regardless of the stapler— it was always because (1) I forgot to lubricate the stapler, (2) used cheap off-brand staples, or (3) just got impatient and sloppy as I rushed through jobs. So ask yourself, “How is all that possible?” I ALWAYS lubricate the tool with light oil or water displacement spray before AND after every session. Plus, I use good quality brand-name staples. Trust me, the cost savings in cheap staples is NEVER worth it. The tiny extra expense for GOOD brand-name staples is entirely worth it! Cheap staples jam. Good staples don’t. A few seconds required to lubricate the tool keep it working perfectly and prevents rust, even in the torturous environment of an artist’s studio. Water, thick abrasive gesso, gooey permanent inks, professional water-color and acrylic paints that dry like glue… NONE of those have stopped this stapler in over thirty years! So, whenever I hear complaints about staplers, I recommend this Power Shot. If they still have jams, I tell students to lubricate the tool before and after use. And no matter how penurious the artist’s budget, I admonish them to use good-quality brand name staples. Follow those tips, and these staplers will serve you as well as they have served me. Finally, you might wonder… “If the old one is so good, then why do you have two?” Because we lost the first one in a move over ten years ago. There was no question in my mind THIS is the model I wanted, so I bought another one to replace it. It works just as well as the old one. Then we found the old one in a box in the attic. It was like seeing an old friend! Now we have two. One looks old, the other new. The “new” one is over ten years old and has also seen serious tours of duty. I understand that some people have had trouble with these and other staplers, but that is usually due to operator technique, bad cheap staples or poor maintenance. Oil it. Use good staples no longer than half-inch. Press flat against surface. Then fire! Wipe it down and oil it again before you put it away. Do those things and you won’t have amateur problems. The main problem with staplers is getting enough pressure at the tip. This design does that for us, easily. These are so reliable I couldn’t work without one. Believe me, I have spent WAY more for other staplers. I’ve tried every brand and type of stapler available, manual, electric, pneumatic, you name it. I’ve been using that one on the left since I attended art school over thirty years ago, and it STILL works perfectly. THIS is the BEST manual stapler I have ever found. It’s also a great bargain.

Has a fatal flaw, the retaining clip that holds the spring loaded staple holder in place broke off. The metal is so thin the pocket clip on a ballpoint pen is heavier. How can Arrow design and build such a heavy duty product and finish it with such a cheap piece of metal. Would have been a 5 star product is not for the fatal flaw.

Unless you plan on stapling a piece of paper to a pile of applesauce, stay away from this product. It has consistently jammed every 4-5 staples using arrow brand staples in the gun. Can't even get it to staple plastic vapor barrier to brand new (soft) 2x4s. The screw is stripped from having to open the thing up to unjam it so many times. I would submit a picture of it "in action" but unfortunately it is jammed again...

Disappointing. This looked like a good design, being able to put force over the point you want to fire the staple. Turns out not so good. You cannot press harder on the staple site- this just fired the gun which has a light action. Pics attached show the Arrow PowerShot compared to a Swingline shooting 1/2 inch staples into plywood.

Hello, there. Thank you for sharing that pictur. We're wondering if the PowerShot staple gun in the photo has ever been taken apart and reassembled, which we do not recommend doing. There appears to be an opening in the front of the tool where the parting line is, and this is likely affecting the penetration of the tool. However, we know that this may not fully address what you experienced, and we would love to touch base with you to troubleshoot further, as well as see if what you experienced falls within our manufacturer warranty. Very efficient and effective
We needed a stapler to attach indoor/outdoor carpet to our garage stairway. This gun worked very well to attach deep staples into the wood and secure the carpet. It is designed to work with minimum amount of pressure, as the force to deliver the staple is over the front of the gun, not the rear.

                            staple gun - who knew?
I've never used a staple gun. I'm a woman, and this just hasn't been in my repertoire. But my town's Board of Harassment (think homeowner's association on steroids) made me cover my pool and the tarps were coming loose. I determined I needed a staple gun (confusion, gasp) to secure the tarps. Off to Home Depot, secured said gun. It came with directions, but I don't need no stinkin' directions! It works. It was reasonably priced. The tarps are secured. The Harassment Board isn't harassing me. #winning! P.S. --I was using it backward at first. Maybe I should've paid attention to those stinkin' directions.
