For our under cabinet lighting project, we knew that we were going to go with LED tape lights. We scurried over to our Home Depot to pick up our supplies, having chosen to go with Armacost products based upon favorable reviews online. Upon arrival to the store, the only power supplies they had were dimmable (we were not looking to dim our under cabinet lighting). Because of this, we happened upon the happy accident of being able to pair both of our dimmable controllers (also Armacost) with this device. This saved us the expense of having to wire lighting over the gap for our sink on the same switch (it would have been a pain). Pairing our switches with this device was very simple; the provided instructions were clear. The only reason it isn't a 5 star is that sometimes, the switch will only activate one set of lights instead of both in tandem. I've found that this can be mitigated by a long press of the power button, so it's just something to be conscious of. Would recommend if you want to save some wiring!

I got this to control three different sections of under cabinet lights from one location. It worked exactly as I hoped. The only issue I've seen is that occasionally 1 section doesn't get the signal to turn on, so I'll have 2 sections on and 1 off. This doesn't happen often, and is easy to re-sync.

Excellent product. I now have 4 of them, two each controlling 2 separate dimmers. Dimmers mounted under cabinets on each side of a room, one remote by door another mounted by my desk.

This thing is awesome
Paired it with 3 dimmers via RF. Each zone is completely separate from the others. Installed this bad boy into an outlet box and bingo controls all at the touch of a button and looks totally legit too

This touchpad works well with the Armacost system. However, unless you intend to use the included surface-mounted box, it takes some creativity to install this touchpad into a wall. It is too wide to fit in any mounting bracket that I could find, and it does not fit in any wall plate I could find. The screw holes are very close to the touchpad body so drywall anchors will likely break loose. You will need to find some other way to secure this.

I was going to give this a low rating but after reading some other reviews, I called Armacost support and asked for their assistance. The wired aspect of the switch functions as it should but I had some issues with the RF touchpad. Armacost gave me great support and even sent me a replacement touchpad since mine was not transmitting signal. On the second one, there is a design flaw with the antenna in the dimmer switch when using the touchpad, but it was a very easy change inside the casing. Great customer support!

The included face plate fit fine but standard rocker faceplates don't fit! I mounted this to the wall with a command strip and used it that way for a few months before I got around to mounting it in the wall next to the switch for the overhead lights. I knew I might have to modify the electrical box in order to get a standard 2 gang switch plate to fit over this rocker switch as well as the adjacent light switch. What I didn't expect is that this Armacost touchpad is not made to fit inside a standard rocker switch faceplate. I had to sand the opening in the faceplate to enlarge it and get it to fit over this touchpad. I originally thought the faceplate wasn't manufactured properly so I took it back and tried a 2nd one. That one didn't fit either! Also, I have this switch paired with 2 dimmers, each of which controls the strip of lights on each side of the kitchen. About once a week the switch fails to turn off one of the dimmers. It doesn't happen quite often enough for me to be really unsatisfied and do something about it but I thought it would work more consistently than it does. Ultimately I recommend this product because it's the only way to post-install under cabinet lighting without having to tear things up to run wires. Next time I'll probably try a different manufacturer / product, though.

I was surprised at how easy this was to pair with the Armacost dimmer--and at how well it worked. We have not decided where to place the touchpad, so for now it is just in the silverware drawer. It works great from there, so placement does not seem fussy at all. This wireless add-on takes away all need for visible elements to undercabinet lighting. No wall-mounted boxes needed, and the only wiring is from the light tape to the powersupply and dimmer box, which can be easily concealed.

Nice product at a great price.. Syncing was easy if you follow the instructions. I like that the RF technology works through walls unlike some that need line of sight to work. Can be used like a remote, flush mounted or recessed in a low voltage box to blend into existing switches.

Installation was easy enough and it worked. Only been in a couple weeks. There are lots of wireless controllers much less expensive that work just fine. Installed this one because the customer wanted it on the wall and to look more like a standard light switch.

          Works well but.....
Works well with the 2-in-1 dimmer but the touch pad film keeps coming off the top portion above the on-off key. The adhesive they use to bond the key pad film to the baseplate apparently is not strong enough. Both of the boxes of this product and the dimmer that I purchased looked like they had been previously opened. Makes me wonder if they had been bought and returned before.

Working great for several months now
No problems here. Paired easily and controls my third party puck lights just fine, large range from off to maximum brightness. Tapping appropriate button steps brightness up or down, holding it moves setting much quicker. Really appreciate the install options, mounted mine under kitchen cabinet to wall with no electrical box needed.

Adds finishing touch to kitchen remodel
I remodeled my kitchen on my own, completely gutted, from mid-January through mid-March. I wanted under/over cabinet lighting as the last thing. I have two separate areas of cabinets (wall and pantry) which I wanted task lighting. I purchased the armacost strip lighting, and wireless ready dimmers. I installed the Wireless Touchpad outside of my kitchen. The only hint I suggest is to not follow the instructions on how to sync the lights to the touchpad. DO NOT plug in the power cord and then hold the up and down buttons simultaneously. DO push the buttons simultaneously AND THEN plug the unit in. It will work perfectly. And if you have to separate wireless ready dimmers, sync one, but turn the light down completely, not off. Then sync the second as mentioned above. Then turn that light control down completely. Finally turn both controllers off, the touchpad will now control both of them.

Product does not work. Tried several times with a professional electrician. Should have not needed one. Poor quality

Easy to install and sync with dimmer switch
I used armacost to replace an existing AC incandescent undercabinet kitchen lighting system. Love it. The look and feel of the wireless switch is excellent. Professional, clean. Practically no interval in time between hitting the switch nd when the light turns on. Dims very well, smooth. Honestly, for $13 kind of a steal.

Product was not available in store
The wireless touchpad was not available at the Home Depot Store so I ordered it online, which created a slight delay and inconvenience, since I was trying to complete a project. However, the touchpad works great.

                Inconsistent Operation
Been having consistent problems with the remote working with the dimmer. Attempted multiple re-learns, but remote seems to lose memory. Currently I use the wall switch to shut off power to the transformer and dimmer. To use the lights, turn on the wall switch and use the remote to turn on. There is no current ability to dim the lights via the remote. So operation is inconsistent - at BEST. Attempted to replace battery with Duracell 27A. Battery well inside remote is too large and battery contacts do not line up with battery contacts. Wadded up a few folds of electrical tape to raise battery up to level of contacts. Had to re-bend contacts as the spring end was too large a diameter to contact negative battery terminal.

Works great and great customer service from Armacost
Purchased this to add to Armacost under/over cabinet lighting I installed. It was shipped quickly (Home Depot should carry this in the store!). After trying to sync with the dimmer, I could not get it to work. I sent an email to Armacost and within a couple of hours I got a call back from them with better instructions for pairing the device. They waited on the call while I tried it and it worked first time. By the way, the directions say to plug the power supply in and then hit the up/down arrows on the keypad within 2 seconds to pair. Actually, you hold the buttons down while you plug it in and it works.
