I bought this door in 2016 and we use the screen door every summer/spring. Fall and Winter, we put the glass back on. Rain does get in during heavy downpours as I do not have an awning but it doesn't get soaking wet all the time. This is a picture of the hinge which rusted and snapped off on the bottom closer, no issues on the upper closer. This is the 2nd hinge that broke in the 4 years I've owned this. I will soon be out of my 5 year warranty at which point I'd have to pay for parts and shipping. Their customer service told me that rust is typically not covered but they are doing this as courtesy. They also told me all warranty related items cost $8 for shipping after the first year. At which i was frustrated because, they have made a part that gets rusted when wet, so i have a screen door and when it rains, water will get to it. And now I have to pay shipping and for the part constantly over the next few years of ownership becuase this thing will definitely snap off in the future. So Stay away from this product.

The door was very easy to install and it looks great. However, when it came time to remove the window insert and replace it with the insect screen, I spent over an hour to accomplish that! (Yes,I did watch the video). Every other door I’ve had was a 5 minute swap. I called Andersen customer support and, after waiting on hold for over ½ hour, I was told that’s a known issue and I should heat the strip with a hair dryer before installing. What?? It’s 70 degrees and sunny and I have to heat the strip with a hair dryer? Very poor design. This was my first and last Andersen door.

These doors are beautiful! I love the weight, feels very solid. I had an Anderson storm door on my previous house but these seem more substantial. I bought two and had them installed by Home Depot, and the installation was very quick from the time of purchase. I highly recommend this door, and so does my dog.

This was one of the easiest projects I have done. It was very surprising how simple it was! The step by step instructions were very helpful as well. I was skeptical with the 45 minute install time that was promoted with the product. It took me about an hour start to finish. At my skill level I think that’s really good. If this was done by a professional it would be simple and probably take 45 mins or less. I made sure to take my time and read the instructions very carefully. The quality is excellent! We are very happy with our purchase!

By far one of the prettiest storm doors I have seen. Adds SO much curb appeal to the new house. The front door provided is pretty PLAIN and non-descript. Will replace that at some point. But, knew I wanted a storm door because I like to let the sunshine in, and serves as a perfect place to put a pretty door wreath. Was definitely worth the extra money for the etching around the outside, which I was some somewhat unsure about initially.

Simple to install as a replacement door with existing casement. Looks like a much more expensive door.

First off the storm door was so easy to install. The door came with pre drilled holes for East installation. The installation direction were easy to read and understand. We wanted a door that would provide safety and give us and our German shepherds a view to the front yard. I would definitely recommend this product to family and friends. Thank you Home!!!

Just the best glass door ever

I had this installed a few months ago. On some of the windier days the door would blow open and bend pieces of the door so it no longer shuts properly, screws are now stripped out, and the door is literally falling off the hinges. I can’t leave through the front of the house without the door falling off. I live in New Jersey. We don’t get tornadoes or anything. Absolutely cheaply made. Do not recommend

I recently purchased this storm door and had it installed with Home Depot. I love the door and the handle and it really was a beautiful addition to my home. I love the locked security and it is very easy to use. I would highly recommend this storm door.

Easy assembly and installation. The double seals around the frame keeps out the cold air

I wasn't sure I was going to like a full view storm door but I actually love it! Very sturdy and very well sealed. The only downside I think is it closes a little fast and I'm afraid I'm going to catch my ankle lol! I guess I'll just have to be faster.

Getting the tracks to hold the glass in was BRUTAL. I had to lookup a video on YouTube. After a frustrating hour I got one to go in correctly, another in wrong and the top and bottom ones not able to get in. At that point the door was installed and there was nothing I could do. The HORRIBLE defective tracks make what is a good door a waste of time and money. I now have an expensive defective door on my home, which took over three frustrating hours.

Love this glass storm door. It became Very Easy to install after watching the YouTube videos a few times as the instructions which come with the door are very unusful and do not explain things in details, when installing the door remember not to remove the plastic blockers from the door until you have the pilot screws in, especially the bottom ones.

First time installer. Actual install time 1.5 hours. Watch the You Tube video first, It makes it an easy install. It looks beautiful and made the freshly painted house look finished. Great product, with easy install professional looking finish.

The door looks great, is great quality, however, installation was only fair and for some reason the door was an inch too short. My previous door height measured 80", however, for some reason this door measured 79" so it was a little short. The width fit perfect. The other issue was the edging to put the glass/screen in was difficult to install, previously you were able to install these with screws but this new method is more difficult. Curious if anyone else had issues with the height not fitting properly.

Anderson door and Anderson Lock kit does not work with each other I had to grind a hole in the side of the frame for the lock to work

This is a quality door at a reasonable price. Easy to install and looks and works fantastic. I like the full view feature either with glass or screen. It is more effective that way. It is supplied with 2 closures top and bottom that have metal casings. The bottom closure has a button you tap with your foot to hold the door open and releases when the door is moved open again. The door has a lock with a key on the outside.

Very simple to install. I went for the etching on the glass and was very disappointed when the associate said I couldn’t have that one. My second option was this door.

It's a very sturdy and heavy door thus it requires more effort to swing open. I hope this translates to durability. Closing is much easier because it self-closes and doesn't slam shut. The installation process took a very long time. I really love the Curved Nickel glass design. I originally thought the nickel was going to clash with the warm tone of the house, but it's perfect. It pulls the silver from the sidelight panels and makes them pop. Overall I am pleased.

Door is a very nice well made storm door. My daughter decided she was going to paint the primary front door, which I had no say in the color and the 30 year old screen door wasn’t going to help the appearance of the new door. My 1950’s ranch house, needed to trim out some of the soffit to make the door fit, but this wasnt a problem with the door. After trimming the soffit, the door fit in nicely and looks great. I wish i did this project a long time ago

Easy installation, very durable, beautiful appearance. Love how easy it closes completely in its own and licks in place nicely if you need to leave it open.

The door shipped in a very timely manner,,and was in perfect condition,,we just installed it yesterday!! It looks so nice and we love it!!

While the Anderson 3000 door certainly looks nice there is a problem with two important parts. First the bottom corner of the door has an unfinished edge which is a safety hazard. Particularly because its a heavy door its a problem for children. I do not allow my child to open the door without me because the bottom of the door has caught her ankle (and mine) when closing. My installer tried to file down the sharp metal however its still enough to cut/scratch someone's foot or ankle. Secondly, I've had 3 different people try to adjust the closer, however the closing speed is too quick or starts out slow then closes quickly. We gave up and removed the bottom closer . In hindsight I should have attempted to returned the door for a different brand.

I installed this a few weeks ago and we love it!!! It looks great and was very easy to install.
