Easy to install, looks and works great! Very smooth operation. Installed it in a 30 year old house and plan to use American Standard products when I replace the faucets in the other two bathrooms.

It works fine, seems to save some water, but it's very loud. This is the first faucet I've ever installed myself and it was pretty easy to do. My only hang up isthat it's way too loud (definitely the faucet and not the plumbing).

    We wanted to love it
Pretty easy to install. We installed two in our bathroom but within a few months the finish started flaking off and they look terrible. Now were at the point that we need to uninstall and replace them. What a pain. Even with an easy to install faucet it still takes time and frustration to take them out and install new ones. ARG! WE will have to go through the added frustration of finding the receipt from Home Depot (luckily they told us they keep records attached to credit card numbers and will exchange for us), and trying to go through the process of the exchange.

    Lovely faucet
This is a very pretty, simple faucet. Love it. I love the brushed aged iron w/o the rim of copper found on most aged bronze fixtures. Elegant yet simple, nice handles. Had a minor leak on first install, but the contractor simply made an adjustment and she was good to go. Some reviews mention a leak, possibly attributed to the quick drain attachment, but once the contractor tightened the hoses,it was fine. It is in the guest bath, and I have had it less than a month, so not much use, but I did put it through several water tests....no problems. Love it.

    American Standard Marquette Series
Purchased three American Standard 4" center set faucets in oiled bronze from Home Depot. Biggest problem, the finish on each one is different. The bronze has brush stokes in the finish and each faucet has a different amount of these strokes. The worst one, in photo looks like a zebra. Poor quality control in manufacturing. The other problem is American Standard does not offer bath accessories for Marquette. The handle style is unique enough so none of the aftermarket accessories come close. Finally, the drain control is a mechanical mechanism made of all plastic cable & gears instead of a metal plunger. Easier to install, but not sure how this would hold up? I am returning everything for a refund.

Looks great but horrible drain design
I have never replaced a faucet before, so take this with a medium grain of salt (I did a lot of research, so I learned some:). I bought 3 of these Marquettes for updating our house faucets because it looked good and had Quick Connect features that sounded easier at first. I have now learned a ton about faucets and I'll list pros/cons before I explain my install experience. Pros: Looks great High faucet arc (the replacement I bought was too low and horizontal, so now need to find another) Handles feel good and solid Easy installation Quick thread nuts for the faucet base are very quick threading Easy connect stopper cable is also very simple and easy Price is reasonable, I guess Cons: The drain lip is too high and is also flat, leaving water in the sink (see picture) (WHY?!) Plastic drain with chrome-plated top Plastic chrome-plated underside of the faucet neck (you don't see this much, but it is plastic, while the rest of the faucet is metal, saves them what? $.50?) Proprietary stopper lift connection, so, not as easy to replace with something else (a generic one that doesn't have a high drain lip, for instance) Poor instructions that don't explain much (or say whether to use putty or silicone or nothing to seal the drain) So, basically, all of the nice features are no good for me because the water pools in the drain and stays there - which will get moldy/discolored/possibly flake the chrome a ton faster than if it drained out and dried out quickly, which means more frequent cleaning (not a bad thing, I guess). It seems all faucets have plastic drains in this price range, as I returned this and bought a Moen Banbury. Perhaps the plastic makes the drain lip have to be thicker? Or perhaps my 12 year old vanity tops are not designed the same as when they made this faucet (doubtful)? I can't believe more people aren't complaining about this, and I even see water in the drain pictures on this review page. Who wants water constantly stuck in your sink, not to mention heavier particles that can't get over the lip? Gross. I, then, bought a generic drain and stopper only that is all metal. It will not work with this American Standard because of the connection system. This is designed properly, where the drain lip is thin and mounts to your sink flush and is also ANGLED down slightly and not flat, so the water drains like it should. I sealed it with plumbers putty and it's totally fine (by the way, I also learned you should not use plumber's putty on some sinks or with plastic drains as it can make them brittle quicker). So, you have to decide, do you want water stuck in your sink after you leave for work? Do you want to buy another faucet that may have a flat drain lip, too (the Moen Banbury was also flat)? Do you want to buy a separate generic drain/stopper metal replacement and toss the plastic one that comes with these? Or pay more for a completely full metal faucet system? I don't want to deal with any of these! I found the toilets were easier to replace than these faucets. Good luck!

      Great Faucet
I am very pleased with this faucet. I did a quite a bit of research to find a great faucet that wouldn't cost too much, and those reviews pointed me to this faucet. It was very simple and quick to install and feels solid for the price. I haven't replaced a bathroom faucet in some time so I was pleasantly surprised with the ease of installing the drain assembly. The ease comes from the simplicity of the drain assembly's connection with the faucet, it uses a cable to clip into the drain-plug. This took just a couple of minutes to install. Overall I would buy this faucet again. I'm very happy.

very easy to install and very functional and stylish. I like it.
I installed this faucet on a new ceramic oval sink, also from Home Depot. This was a simple and easy to install and it also came with the drain pieces needed for the sink. It is more functional and stylish than the old single handle faucet it replaced. Price was fair and I have a second bathroom I am considering to use this same faucet on.

      Just Installed Three of These
The reviews here were instrumental in my decision to purchase three of these faucets. The original, twelve-year-old Delta units in my house were all leaking and looking drab. They were beastly to remove, too. These Marquette units not only look fantastic, but they were super easy to install. I showed my son how to do the first one and he was able to do the other two without any trouble. We are very happy with the look and the function, and impressed with the value for the price.

      Easiest DYI project ever!
I bought this faucet after reading many reviews - I wanted a quality product at a value price. I have several bathroom faucets to replace in our 35 year old house that are corroded and/or leaking, but can't afford to spend a fortune on each one. I like to shop online and pick up at the store, and that was the first plus for this project. My local store had what I wanted and had it ready within the hour. I'm a mediocre DIY-er (middle aged woman) and this was the simplest installation I could have imagined (after taking out the old faucet - that took forever! ) Once I had the old out and the work surface cleaned up, it was literally minutes before this was in and running like a champ. Thanks again, Home Depot!

Great product for the money - highly reccomend
I bought this faucet to replace my existing (and less than one year old) Glacier Bay single knob faucet that provided very little pressure and flow. It was rated at the same GPM as this unit, but only delivered a dribble of water that was not even enough to thoroughly wash your hands. This faucet provides a very strong flow of water that is more than enough for a bathroom sink. It's a well built all steel unit that feels like it should cost much more than it does. It's also very easy to install - it took me an hour total, which includes cleaning all the junk out from under the vanity and putting it back when I was done. The plastic nuts that secure the faucet to the sink are great - you can push them on until they reach the bottom of the sink, then turn them to tighten them from there. Saves a ton of time trying to thread the nut all the way up. The drain installed with no plumbers putty, and was leak free on the first attempt. The cable operated stopper is also a huge plus - no messing around with rods and linkages. The only issue I had is the stopper cable interferes with my shut off valve (see attached picture), but this was only because of the way my valves are installed - this may not happen in your application. I wanted to turn the drain slightly so there was no interference, but this would have caused the "American Standard" insignia on top of the stopper to be sideways (which would have driven my OCD absolutely crazy). However, with how easy it is to connect and disconnect the cable, it isn't a big deal to have to remove it to shut off the valve (which won't be that often, if ever). That insignia is the only complaint I have about this product.

        It's a snap to install
This faucet is almost literally a snap to install. After spending an more than an hour yesterday trying to mount a different manufacturer's 8" faucet set that required using two wrenches and lots of finagling, this American Standard faucet was a breath of fresh air - it took about 15 minutes to install in a new sink and would have been less if I hadn't stopped to read the instructions to make sure it was really as simple as it seemed! No tools are required except to tighten the supply hoses to the faucet. The nuts holding the faucet are push-on and then turn-to-tighten. The faucet and drain have gaskets, no plumber's putty is required. The drain actuator is unique in my experience. The rod moves a cable that turns a cam in the drain pipe to open or close the stopper. The installed faucet is attractive and works smoothly. Oddly enough, there was a security tag stuck to the bottom of the gasket that goes between the sink and faucet. It would have caused problems if I hadn't noticed it and removed it.

Easy Install for a Great Looking Faucet!
I really can't believe how simple it was to install this faucet. Installation only took about 20 minutes after I had removed the old faucet and drain and cleaned up all the old plumber's putty and gunk in the trap. I was glad to discover that I didn't need to use plumber's putty when installing this new faucet. The whole process took about an hour and a half. Reconnecting the water supply lines was the only step during the installation that actually required a wrench. Otherwise everything could just be hand-tightened. Uninstalling the old faucet was another story though. I thought I was going to have to cut the old faucet drain off at one point! Luckily the last fitting finally broke free, and I finished washing out the trap at the 1 hour and 10 minute mark. The way the pop-up drain linkage is designed eliminates the need for adjusting a linkage and lever to the right position. Instead of the traditional setup, it's just a push/pull cable that screws into the drain. The whole assembly works great, with the sink holding water really well when the drain plug is down. There is a way to adjust the drain plug height in case it doesn't quite seal, but I didn't end up needing to do any adjustments after the install. The finish of the faucet is the perfect brushed nickel color, and looks much nicer than the old chrome faucet that it replaced. It does get water spots on it after using it for a while, but it wipes clean easily. The hot and cold levers turn smoothly, and there aren't any leaks when they're closed. The ceramic valves are a nice bonus too. An unexpectedly nice feature over the old knob-style hot and cold valves is that the levers give you an idea of what the mixture ratio is before you put your hands under the water. There's no noticeable reduction in water pressure through the faucet either. The only complaint that I have is that the drain flange is a little raised, and a ring of water puddles around it and will not finish draining (see picture). I think our sink design has some part in this, but it didn't happen with our old drain. It shouldn't be a major problem as long as the drain doesn't rust, but it's still a little unsightly. So far it's been installed for three weeks with no signs of discoloration.

Easy installation and high quality movement & finish
This was a very easy faucet to install. It did not require any plumbers putty because it includes plastic gaskets and foam seals. Fasteners for the faucet went on fast and snugged up very tightly. Drain stopper cable almost TOO easy to install. Just attach to drain and give a quick turn and done. Needs no adjustment and works smooth every time. Amazing technology. I used this on a utility basin and gave it a very classy look.

        Easy Installation
They have taken one of the most annoying features and made it simple. Anyone who has installed a faucet knows the hardest part is getting the stopper to work correctly. Even after all the adjustments, through time the stopper rod or lever slip and require realignment. With this design, all you have to do is attach the cable and you are done! Fantastic! And, this has been provided on a stylist faucet as well. The pictures show just how simple the stopper design is, and how it attaches.

A Good Value For The Money
I needed to replace our bathroom faucet that was installed during our remodel that is a little over 20 years ago. The faucet was just plain worn out. It was more difficult to take the old faucet out than to put this new American Standard in. The model 621-122/7764SF is made well. For the money the actual faucet it is constructed well. The finish, Satin Nickel is great. This bathroom when built was mainly for our daughter and she picked the color scheme for the bathroom. Everything as far as fixtures and the shower are high polished chrome look. I will be replacing everything at some point with the Satin Nickel as it adds class in my opinion. The only things with the new faucet that they seemed to cut back on were the hand lock nuts that hold the faucet in place. Those are made of plastic. The drain plug worked and holds water in the sinks along with the on/off handles that have set stop points for on and off and it does not drip. Altogether it took just over 30 minutes to install where getting the old faucet off and then cleaning up the gunk from when it was installed took a couple of hours. The water flows even which is a huge improvement over the old one that started spraying water in uneven streams. I am very happy with the faucet so far and I do not have to replace washers to try and stop a leaking faucet. I have only had it installed less than a week but for now I give it 5 stars.

        Beautiful faucet.
The faucet was easy to install and looks great. I am very impressed that the faucet and handles were metal. Some fittings were plastic though. We bought the tub faucet to match. Very happy with our purchase and the price was very reasonable.

This faucet was advertised as a 4-inch reach (how far it reaches in toward the sink) but it was actually the standard 5-1/2 or so inches. I chose it for the reach, since my drain is in so close to the body of the faucet. I had to return it. Looked great, tho.
