Answer This Question
A: Hello Anonymous, Thank you for reaching out to American Standard. I’m sorry to hear of the issue you have had with your American Standard 7764. I know that situation can be very frustrating. The index button on the top of the handles will pop off and the screw inside will need to be removed. Once the handle is off you can unthread the valve nut with an adjustable wrench. Once the nut has been removed the cartridge will pull out of the faucet as it is not threaded. There is a notch on the side of the pipe that holds the cartridge where you can insert a small flat blade screw driver to help remove it. If you have any further questions, please reach out to us using the Contact Us form or Chat option on our website, and an American Standard Consumer Connection Advisor will be happy to assist you. We are available Monday - Friday between 8AM - 7PM ET. Sincerely, Nicole Your American Standard Consumer Connection Team americanstandard-us.com/contact-us

Q:The current stainless steel faucet connector on my sink uses 3/8 inch compression thread and 1/2 inch I.P. pipe thread. Will this faucet connector work on the AMERICAN STANDARD Marquette? I will probably replace the hose but I want to make sure I purchase one with the correct fittings

A: My husband thinks so if you replace hose but not sure. Put a shut off valve and by a flex line that fits the for inside pipe and buy hose that fits faucet and pipe

A: This should work, however, you may have to purchase a thread adapter. All this will do is convert the size of the threaded part between the faucet and your water lines.

A: Yes it's 1/2" on the faucet side. So your hose will work. I also had the 3/8 compression on my valve. BTW I had to use thin metal nuts on the faucet since my granite top was too thick. Not enough to threat hose onto it if I had used the thick plastic washers that came with. I had old faucets I took the steel plain nuts off of. Great solid feeling faucet by the way you will be happy with purchase.

A: The connection to the faucet is 3/8".
