Champion tank seal worked perfectly, eva tly what I expected and needed!

The main reason I purchased this item was to get the bottom gasket. I installed it and it leaked. I had to put the original gasket on the unit. Was a waste of money to buy this unit.

Toilet still has phantom flush this flush valve is terrible

Yes, the Tank Seal did the job just fine, but was only required because of the ridiculous design of this American Standard toilet. In order to replace as simple Flush Valve, the water closet/tank must first be removed. So I would recommend that when shopping for a new toilet you first look to see if it includes this unique 4" flush valve and, if so, look for an alternative.

This seal works great.I was little afraid to install it by myself and I watched a video on YouTube about the installation and I did.The leaks dissappear and I'm worries free for now, excellent product.

the unit worked great however the seal that was recommended did not work as it was too small. Had to purchase the correct seal at the time of pickup.

I am a huge fan of the American Standard Champion IV and of their older models also. Seriously, I have a lot of investment properties and have been switching out the toilets to American Standard Champion IV (elongated). In all the years and I assume many, many thousands of flushes, these toilet have yet to clog even once. So, when the tank seal went out one of these, I went to the store and bought an aftermarket one that said and guaranteed it would work with the American Standard. It didn't and that is upsetting as who returns a seal? Well, Home Depot has the entire device online which is an upgrade to the older Champion toilets and, as expected, after taking the old one apart and installing the American Standard tank seal, it worked! My time and effort is worth a heck of a lot more than the couple of bucks I might have saved using another devise. So, as the years go by and the originals wear out, I will be ordering new ones and wishing I could buy them in the stores.

I was disappointed I had to order this on line, I originally purchased this toilet from Home Depot so I expected to get the replacement parts in the store. The original delivery date was the 20th, a week from purchase date, didn't receive it until the 24th. It also didn't have the seal that goes between the tank and toilet, had to use the old one. The product it's self is great, thus the 4 stars.

In order to install this product, you have to completely take off the tank from the bowl. The float FALLS too quickly and does not allow enough water to escape to allow for a complete flush. In order to get a complete flush you have to hold the handle down a long time. This was the reason I purchased this device because it seemed that overtime he had to hold down the handle longer and longer. The device itself works fine just not to the level of satisfaction I was looking for

No! Do not recommend - Just an entirely bad Am Std OEM design and implementation!. Just replace the whole thing with a FluidMaster Complete Universal 3" flush valve kit and never look back... I did, haven't had a problem since....

I had a hard time getting the old one off. The new style was a better system , we will see how it works

Fairly easy to install,appears to be the same blue seal as original seal that came with new toilet that lasted a couple years then got a blister and allowed toilet to leak.I would think there would be a better available .

After two years of replacing gaskets, I finally ordered the replacement tower and seal. It went in with little effort and the toilet finally performs like the rest of the toilets in the house. Couldn't see anything obviously wrong with the old one, but I would recommend just buying this whole unit instead of replacing just the gaskets.

Worked out great for what I needed. It is flushing the toilet just fine.
