missing tool
tank seal replacement was to include a wrench to remove and re-install the tank seal but was not in the box with the replacement piece

Having to drain the tank to install the tank seal...
Having to drain the tank to install the tank seal was inconvenient, but doable. I wish there was a tool included to remove the old plastic tightener, as I think there used to be.

Easy to install!
Easy to install. Hard part was removing the water in the tank!! Lol Before removing the old one, just take the time to study the position and length of the chain.

Outdated design. Get the new one
After talking with product support, I learned this is an outdated design. They have a new version, so call and ask about it! This also does not include the large wrench you'll need to remove the bottom nut. Overall, I recommend getting the total rebuild kit, which includes replacement bolts, washers, tank seal, etc.

Bad bad bad design
Getting ready to replace my toilet with something different replaced my flap once and now same problem blisters on the seal

I see why HD doesn’t carry it in stores, it’s garbage and the next time I need to replace it I’ll replace the whole tank so I don’t have to use this product.
