I bought it to get rid of the weeds before overseeding. It didn't kill all the weeds and I have to care of the rest with vinegar, dish washer combo. I was happy with the result because there was no burned grass until see the label say wait a month before seeding. It was quite disappointing to wait a whole month. So read the label before buying it. Update: By the end of 3rd week after the application, weeds start to come back with new more powerful. I don't know the type of the weed but this one regrow even more. Welcome back to square one...waste of money

The title says it all. After using your weed & feed as directed, we have the worst crop of dandelions and weeds I've ever had. It basically did nothing.

I’m so disappointed I work hard on removing all the grass weeds I purchased this seed and it came with weeds and only partial grass grow I hate to leave a bad review but don’t think it’s right and people are treated this way Hope this helps someone

I purchased on line and used a Scott’s spreader set at the correct setting. Spread the white pellets and waited for it to kill the weeds. It killed everything but the weeds. The weeds are green and my grass is yellow ( dead). Thank God I ran out before I could do the front. I always use Scott’s products but never ever use this!! I used the Weed and feed, my grass greened up, as good my neighbors lawn which is professionally cared for. Only problem, dandelions are co erring my yard. It just didn’t work, and I put it down before the grass really started to grow. I was timely on the application. So, disappointed with weed control but pleased with the nice lawn

I applied this to my lawn just after my initial mowing to feed and remove all the weeds, and help to recover from winter damage. My lawn still has all the weeds

I was looking forward to getting rid of some of the clover and dandelions in my yard. This weed and feed made my grass greener, but did not help clear out any of the weeds. My kids are happy since they have lots of "wishies" to blow, but I am disappointed my clover is still growing, well, like a weed. See my photo for evidence of the clover still growing and alive almost after a month post-treatment.

This product does kill dandelions as stated but also killed my grass and left a bunch of other weeds to thrive in the recent patches of dead grass. It killed those same weeds in my empty flower beds so i know its supposed to kill them. For whatever reason, in my grass it did not work.

I put down this product about 3-4 weeks ago. While the grass is greener, I now have dandelions all over my yard.

I brought this product 2 weeks ago and my lawn is so green and beautiful

Not very happy with all the money I have spent on this product over the last 5 years

I used this because I had dandelions in the grass. It killed the dandelions AND MY GRASS. Yes, there was grass. So how is the guarantee going to help that? See the picture. Now I have to put in a whole new lawn

I put a before picture of my beautiful green grass. After using the Scotts products for a year I no longer have a lawn. The weeds are out of control the grass is completely gone. I worked my butt off for the last year to get a beautiful lawn. Now the weeds are so out of control the grass is completely gone. A minimum of $500 invested to end up worse than where I started.

Absolute worthless product. I’ve put down this so-called weed and feed three times this season and the clover is healthier than ever. I’m convinced that the Scott’s is feeding the clover and killing my grass. Same results on both my Bermuda and St. Augustine. Zero impact on the clover. Weeds are flourishing. Yes, I use the correct different Scott’s fertilizer for Bermuda and St. Augustine. I bought six large bags this season and wasted over $300.

Applied as directed. Week later, dandelions and clover look healthier than ever. 2 weeks later, no change. Will be returning unused product for refund.

I applied this product using a Scott's mini broadcast spreader and it went on easily and evenly. Turf Builder has my lawn looking healthy and the weeds under control.

Well after not buying enough seeds you can see the trail I left in my yard where it turned my grass yellow and the remaining untreated spots is green. A bit embarrassing but slowly the grass is coming back

My grass was mostly weeds, bought this stuff last year, 2020, and used it according to the directions and my lawn is absolutely beautiful now. The weeds have died and the grass is greener than ever. Apply once in spring and once in the fall after rain or watering the lawn and your lawn will be greener than ever also.

I made a big mistake purchasing this product. After purchasing it from Home Depot recently in preparing to host an outdoor event, I made sure I read the instructions twice before even applying this product to my lawn. I even was deliberate about not purchasing the same Scott's product that a friend used that burned her grass recently. I wet the grass before applying the product as per instructions and even watered my lawn with my sprinkler system and even an extra watering manually to ensure it looked its best for the event. Despite doing this for at least two weeks leading up to the event, my nice lawn continued to burn up. It now looks like hay and destroyed even my new sod I put down in my backyard (10 pallets of new sod) just two years ago. I am so upset. I now have a high water bill trying to save my grass. I now have to incur an extra landscaping bill to try and fix it. And now I am stressing out every day I go outside as look at how bad my lawn looks in comparison to my neighbors. I am so embarrassed! All my hard work over the years have been destroyed in just a matter of days by this stuff Scotts is pushing off on customers. Scotts should be held accountable for fixing my yard -- for selling that type of product in the South Florida area. It should be banned and pulled off the shelves. Home Depot and the rest of these big box stores should stop selling this stuff. I am so sad. My lot is more than 30K SF and thanks to Scotts my house is now the ugly house on the block that is sticking out like a BIG sore thumb.

2 weeks after applying it I had no dandiolins or clover A month later they came back This year they are back I've got a big bag so I'll be applying it today

I have used this product over the years with mixed results - generally I have been happy. My biggest/latest gripe (hence 2 star rating) with the product is that the somehow moisture had penetrated into the bags at Home Depot so the product was quite lumpy and granules were stuck together when I opened them. As a result, it was not possible to use the rotary spreader so I broke the fertilizer down into smaller chunks and spread it by hand the old fashioned way but that doesn't really result in a nice even spread so I have patches of green. Anyway, after 10 days the grass has been boosted but the clover leaf is very happy as well. Dandelions are also doing well but let's see what happens in the next two weeks before my next application.

I followed the directions from the bag to my Scott’s spreader. I put it on 12 hrs before I got a light rain.this was 5 days ago. No change. It did boost my grass but that’s all I see.

I used this as directed, then reapplied it 30 days later. The weeds are the only thing still growing in my yard.

I apply this for my second application of 5 steps each year and do not have to worry about weed or dandelions. There is a distinct line between my yard and my neighbor’s on each side where the grass is green and the dandelions start! Great product.

Followed the directions on the bag and within one day our brand new sod lawn is destroyed. Will never recommend or buy again.

I’ve applied this a couple of times so far this year. I am happy with how this keeps the weeds down and the grass fed. I have found that applying when the grass is slightly damp helps the granules stick to the weeds which helps expedite their demise. Also, making sure that it gets thoroughly watered in (within a day or so of application) helps to keep the grass from getting burned if the weather is going to be warm.

When I became a homeowner here in Southern California in 1999, I had an "old-timey gardener" out to fix my sprinklers. He told me to use Scott's on my lawns, and I've been doing it ever since. I put down Weed & Feed in March or April, and there's not a dandelion or large weed to be seen in the lawn for months. The product is a bit less successful with the pesky clover, but does seem to minimize its growth. I took these photos the last weekend of July, in 100+ degree heat, and the lawn looks great...looks like this from about mid-May through October. Scott's is an annual part of my yard's care; very pleased with its performance.

We had a green lawn, but had some weeds. Used the product and this is what happened. I was looking on the website to locate a place to contact Scott’s and it wasn’t easily located, so I’m giving a review in hopes they’ll contact me to talk about it. This same thing happened to the lawn at my work, only worse, around the same time.
