Q:Moved into older home with painted patio. Peeling. I washed and dried and sanded worn areas. Paint is peeling and bubbled. Can I use this product under Behr Premium concrete and garage epoxy coating?

      A:  Thanks for reaching out. Zinsser Peel Stop Clear Binding Primer is not a high build primer like Zinsser Peel Stop Triple Thick Primer. Triple Thick can be applied up to 30 mils wet without sagging, Peel Stop Clear cannot be applied that thick. - Rust-Oleum Product Support 6

        A:  Happy to clear things up! Rust-Oleum Zinsser Peel Stop Binding Sealer is intended for use on previously painted surfaces to help prep peeling surfaces prior to recoating. We do not recommend this for use on completely bare wood surfaces. You will want to clean the surface and ensure peeling paint is removed.                   Q:I saw the Rustoleum Rep responded here to a question with this statement >"With both products, you want to insure any loose or flaking paint is removed." Yet, right in the product description it states >>> "Glues down peeling paint and binds chalking residues Clear, low-odor, water base formula binds cracking, chalking and peeling paint" Can these product be used without the need for major scraping or not?

                  A:  Happy to clear things up, Clay. Rust-Oleum Zinsser Peel Stop Binding Primer will glue down cracks and gaps under edges of old paint to help prevent further peeling. Paint that is currently peeling or flaking should be removed to ensure lasting results with the primer. Remove any peeling and/or unsound coatings and loose fibers with a wire brush or sandpaper. - Rust-Oleum Product Support 3
