A:  if is green moss it will be a couple of weeks before it is completely dead.

A:  I’d call or email the manufacturer. This works great, but it is an apply and wait product. I personally would use a wire brush to remove the offending stuff completely and repoint immediately. Then wait for the new grout to cure completely before applying the Wet & Forget. The rain works to slowly keep Mold etc from coming back. I apply this in spring and early fall since there’s more rain where I live during those seasons. Also, I’ve found that a new pecticide hose attachment is less labor intensive than the recommended pump sprayer. My black moldy fences are now a beautiful silver color but it took two years to completely remove the mold. I love this stuff and use it now to keep the gunk away.

A:  We recommend repainting the surface once the dead moss is fully removed, that way the growth won't get trapped underneath the paint. It should take a week or two for you to see a change on the surface after your application.

A:  You can use Wet & Forget to clean up your vinyl awning. We just advise letting the awning dry out first, then applying the Wet & Forget to a dry surface. It will work over time with Mother Nature to clean up any green or black stains on the surface.

A:  This product is great at preventing mold and algae forming on surfaces for about 12 weeks. I would highly recommend using this product. This product should be used about every 3 months or so you can repeat this periodically if there are changes in the weather that wash off the protection. Remember this product is not expected to permanently alleviate the issue but will for a period of time simply repeat it periodically. This is a great product!

A:  Since you wet the awning and do not rinse, If it dissolves the waterproofing after it dries out it should be ok , I have brick walkway I put Thompson's Water Seal on and have used the W&F to kill the moss growing in the grout area and they still repel water .

A:  I used it for a similar reason and it worked very well. It just took a bit longer then expected.

          by|Sep 10, 2019

A:  We recommend applying our product to the awning, waiting for the growth to come off the surface completely, then reapplying the waterproofing.

A:  No, it requires the rain to slowly interact with the product

A:  Yes , not sure how effective it is on black mold ? But on green mold and lichens it does a good job. Outside I have always used Clorox on black mold as you can see it kill the mold but it causes rust on nails and should be rinsed off. Where Wet & Forget does not cause rust and you do not rinse it off , so it would be worth a try ....I just have never given black mold that long to die .

A:  For indoor applications like a crawlspace, use Wet & Forget Indoor to disinfect and inhibit the regrowth of mold and mildew. Wet & Forget Indoor is also carried by HomeDepot.com

A:  Yes. It doesn't seem to work as quickly, or last as long as it does on wood or brick, but it sure helped a lot.

A:  I used it on my roof therefor I was not able to see what it was like but I did see the results and it did work because you could see the spots I missed. This happened over time because like the names says wet and forget. This tells you there is a residue laying on the surface doing its work throughout the season or however long it lasts. It states it is safe for people and pets after it dries on the surface but if it were me I would not want my two year old running their hands along a railing and putting them in their mouths no matter how long it has been dry. I would also be concerned if it made the surface slippery on a deck when it was reintroduced to moisture again. I think I would call their customer service representative and ask them.

A:  We used this product quite successfully on asphalt shingles and painted wood....can't say if a composite product would make any difference, but you could always try a small section first - its non acidic and doesn't have bleach.....takes some time to work (doesn't happen overnight)....but we're quite happy with the outcome.

A:  Wet and Forget is a safe product to use on composite deck railing. This product is easy to use as you simply spray it on and forget it. This product cleans gently over time and works very well.

A:  Yes definitely! Wet & Forget can be used to clean virtually all exterior surfaces and works great on composite decks and railing. Spray your composite rails and leave it, the rain will do the rest.

A:  To reach a roof with Wet & Forget, look for the new Wet & Forget Hose End Rapid Application. Our hose end version of Wet & Forget will reach up to 30ft from the ground. Wet & Forget concentrate unfortunately cannot be used in a hose-end applicator as it will be over diluted and leave you with little to no results.
