A:  It does reach into a 5-gallon bucket. The unit sits on the ground next to your 5-gallon bucket. The suction tube is U-shaped and comes out of the top of the machine, and will reach up and over the top of the 5-gallon bucket and then drop into the bottom of the bucket.

A:  The hose is kind of an upside-down 'u' shaped and fits perfectly into a 5 gallon can. It comes with a clip that holds the hose to the paint bucket as well. The paint bucket must remain close to the machine for it to fit.

A:  Its not really a problem. I thought the same thing. It's not too short. It will shoot a 5 gallon bucket so fast you will be looking for your next bucket anyways.

A:  It doesn't attach per-se, you just drop the hose down in the bucket. the machine will need to be sitting right next to the bucket, but it has no problem reaching the bottom, I've sucked three dry so far.

A:  Yes, there is a knob to turn that lets you change the pressure for the kind of product you are using. It even does really think paint quite well.

A:  Yes, the tip will work to spray latex paint that requires a .015 tip or smaller and it will spray stains also.

A:  Yes, it can. This sprays a fine mist and I used it straight out of a 5 gal bucket of white outside latex paint and then when cleaning I put the pickup tube into a bucket of warm water and it seemed to me the spray mist was just as fine as it was with the paint.
