Answer This Question
A: Thank you for your inquiry. The post sleeve surface mount is only designed for use with a composite post sleeve, not with the Veranda vinyl products. Please speak with an associate at the ProDesk at your local store to determine the appropriate post mount for the vinyl application.

A: Thank you for your question. No, the post mounts only come packaged with the wood included as the insert must be planed to fit inside the bracket. A standard wood 4x4 will not fit without modification.

Q:Which base, cap and sleeve fit with this kit. Am ordering the regency capped composite railing. When looking at the 48" sleeve a response to a question said this sleeve would not work as interior dimension was too small. That made me concerned about the other trim pieces working.

A: anything us generally use as a fence panel
i used vinyl and fastners to connect the panels to the post
by|May 5, 2023
A: Thank you for your question, The 48" Regency/ Enclave composite post sleeve (SKU #1000044739) works for this post mount; vinyl post sleeves do not. The correct post cap to ensure a fit on the sleeve is SKU #1000044987, and the trim ring is SKU #1000044990.

A: is about 42"

A: Thank you for your question. The post sleeve surface mount bracket will only go to a height of 48 inches and is not designed to hold the weight of a fence panel. We do not recommend it is used in this application.

Q:I am looking to purchase some of these, however I am concerned because my deck cannot be accessed from underneath. Can these be secured with Lag Bolts?

Answer This Question
A: yes
i used 2 1/2" lag bolts
by|May 5, 2023
A: Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, no, these cannot be used if you cannot access under the deck for blocking and bolting. The thickness of the blocking underneath is critical to ensure the posts are secure for weight bearing capability.

Answer This Question
A: Thank you for your question. The post mount is galvanized, so there is potential for rust. If this is a concern, it may be better to mount wood posts to the deck frame instead of using the surface mount bracket.
