A:  I would wait the 3 days. Especially if they are rubber backed rugs. This stuff dries pretty quickly compared to normal polyurethane sealers. But you still need to let the finish cure. It is one of the softest feeling finishes I've ever done.

A:  I prefer to start with a semi gloss then top coat with matte finish.. The satin tends to leave a cloudy finish and may affect the overall appearance of the wood and grain itself

Our Varathane Water-Based Floor Finish Polyurethane could be applied over the oil-based, however, the previous coats would have to have fully cured (7-10 days) to prevent adhesion issues between the two coatings.
