Answer This Question
A: Yes. It can be cut in half. I don’t about using it as a railing kit

A: Hello Kelly, and thank you for considering Trex for your project! Our Railing brackets that hold the Railings together can be attached to any surface as long as it is not a solid wall that a screw cannot penetrate. If you are planning on attaching your rails to these posts, it will work but keep in mind this is the only part that would work with our railings, and the Railing Kits do not come in Woodland Brown. You will also want to be sure that the posts are still tall enough to accept the height of your railing once you cut the post in half. I hope this information was helpful, and please do not hesitate to contact us if you ever have further questions or concerns. Thanks again, -Garrett Felix -Trex Customer Care Team.

Q:We received our Winchester Gray fence section... but the color looked more brown than gray. Is this common? Does the color age to gray? If so, how much time does that take? I was really disappointed in the color!

Answer This Question
A: Good afternoon Debbie. I apologize for the dissatisfaction you have with your Trex fencing material. Winchester Grey fencing will be a noticeably different color when new (typically a brownish/green color) and will weather to its intended color of light grey. Because it has a brownish color when new, it can be mistaken as Woodland Brown at first glance. I hope this is helpful. Please reach out to us if you have any additional questions and/or concerns. Thank you, Alecia - Trex Customer Care Team

Q:I have an existing concrete driveway and wanted to know if there is anyway to avoid breaking the concrete and using brackets to attach the posts. There will only be one 8ft fence panel and then a gate attached like an L from the garage to the house.

A: Hello Sherrie, and thank you for reaching out to us with your question. For installation of the posts, the holes would have to be dug and the posts would have to be in the ground. This is to make sure the fence is sturdy and everything is up to code. Kindly, -Trex Customer Care Team
