Answer This Question

A:  Smart Speed control system lets you choose from ground speed ranges for optimal performance. It helps you get your lawn done faster and get it done quicker!

by|May 6, 2023

A:  The smart speed Control System lever, gives you a choice to drive your mower at three speed ranges; trim, tow, and mow, to cover the safety aspects when you mow. And your reverse operation is also included, for your ultimate safety. You always want to be aware of the speed of your mower, based on your terrain conditions.

    by|May 6, 2023

A:  Thank you for your question. Toro’s Smart Speed® control system lets you choose from three ground speed ranges for optimal performance. Use low TRIM range to trim closer for maximum time savings, choose medium TOW range for towing attachments, or select high MOW range to mow large open areas and finish quickly.

                      by|May 5, 2023

A:  no, it has to be hung up on something. see if the chain links that hold the deck are caught together or hung up.

                      by|May 5, 2023

A:  No safety lock, just the single height adjustment lever near the driver's right knee. There are only three mounting points between the mower deck and the frame of the tractor - take a look at the mower deck removal procedure in your owner's manual - it should illustrate those connection points pretty clearly. I would take a look at all of the linkage to make sure nothing is visibly bent or damaged. Perhaps try removing the mower deck from the tractor (it takes less than 5 minutes), then move the height adjustment and see if the linkage moves evenly without the deck attached. Then you'll know if it's linkage or the deck itself is causing a problem - "divide and conquer" so they say....good luck!

                      by|May 5, 2023

A:  It could be one of two things; if you are trying to level the deck, there is only an adjustment on the left side to get it to match the right. If you are trying to lower the whole deck from a high height to a lower mowing height and only one side is coming down, it is likely that a bolt is hanging up on the frame on the side that is not coming down. If you would like additional assistance, please contact Toro Customer Support at 1-888-384-9939. Hours are Monday – Friday 8:00am-4:30pm CST. Thank you.

I was told by warranty shop that the front shouldn’t be level so you get a smoother ride... I’m not really buying that excuse. Mines been in for repairs for five weeks so far... still there:-(

A:  Mow high at 4 inches. This is the lowest anyone should mow with if, they have fescue grass. I have worked for a lawn company for over 20 years. This also helps keeps weeds out. Deck should not be a problem, as this is one of the highest quality stamped decks I have used. Fabricated decks are more sturdy, though, but they cost more money.
