Questions and Answers for TRUporte 48 in. x 80 in. 106 Series White Composite Interior Sliding Door

A:  Unfortunately no . Unless you don’t mind the bottom of the doors flapping in the wind . The guide rollers are permanently attached 

A:  Not the actual doors but the frame yes. I trimmed the frame pieces to fit in my doorway. 

A:  No. Doors look nice enough, but are a thin facade over a rather flimsy wood frame that's open in the back.

A:  These can’t be cut down however the doors bypass each other so the opening can be smaller. They install in 15 minutes.

A:  I don’t know. Someone installed them for me. The door material isn’t very thick so I suppose the doors could be cut.

A:  Depends on the old hardware. I had to remove old hardware, but new hardware was easy enough to install

A:  Because of the way these doors hang, you must use the new hardware that comes with the sliding door.  

A:  No . The doors are pre installed with hardware

A:  78 inches

A:  It’s standard height. 80 inches.

A:  78 in is the physical door, but the hanger that goes on to the roller is two more inches, so you must allow for 80 in

A:  Yes. Both doors move

A:  Yes

A:  Yes and slides smoothly 

A:  Yes they bypass eachother

A:  No they have no backs they are hollow 

A:  Door can be custom fitted by cutting off the extra inches at the bottom.

A:  Not sure if the mounting allows for it...but in the past I have trimmed doors down by cutting from the bottom as needed. Usually the hollow core has a 1.5" to 2" thick solid shim around the inside so it allows for trimming...just don't go too crazy...1" trim off the bottom should be safe... it's doable if you are a little bit handy. A:  No the doors can't be cut. They have a steel frame around the edge. Home depot can special order the size you need.

A:  These doors should fit a finished opening of 48" wide x 80 1/8"-80 5/8" high.

A:  You would have to contact your local Home Depot to find out.

A:  We don't advise adding any handles or knobs to these doors. If you do it will void the warranty.
